You can place the exact meat you want in your toolbar and then press the toolbar number to cook exactly that meat btw! You can select it with controller and press 'Up-Dpad' as well.

not sure if you eventually figured it out, but you get the materials back when you deconstruct crafted stuff. Instead of burning all of your meat, you could have built the kiln, burned a ton of charcoal, then broken it down to use the cores to make the smelter
For some reason I really dislike tearing down structures so I can build others, and going back and forth like that. I know you can do it to be as efficient as possible with your resources, but it feels like a hassle to me. I did figure out a better solution, but with the land animals mod I was never low on meat so I just burned it because it was an easy alternative. Thanks for watching!
Wow these new meats are way too OP… you’re at 4th biome foods while at the first biome lol.
Heh, that's the LandAnimals mod giving good meats. It doesn't feel too unbalanced with all the renegade Vikings running around though!

Not yet, I've only played the vanilla version multiplayer. From what I understand I just need to install the mods on my dedicated server and have the other players install the same mods on their side. Thanks for watching!

I haven't tried it so I couldn't say for sure. I would guess if you and your friends have the same mods installed and running you could send them an invite to join your game via Steam. Let me know if you get it working, I'm really interested to know.

It will work fine starting without a dedicated server or not.
I've got some 116 mods and I got it working on a dedicated server and also when just starting on Steam with my world set as a server. @@MidKnightNova
