- In this video I show off all 3 Sigma Metalytics models (Original PMV, Pro PMV, and Pro Mini) and talk about which is the best! The PMV Original or the sigma metalytics original model is able to test your gold and silver coins to determine if they are real or fake. The PMV Pro or the sigma metalytics pro model has the ability to test all the way through samples and preform a specific gravity test. The Sigma Pro Model can also connect to an external bridge to test large gold or silver bars. The Sigma Metalytics Pro Mini model is portable and connect to a phone, tablet, or computer. The sigma pro mini is also able to preform specific gravity tests and it can test through samples as well. I like the sigma metalytics original model because of the price. I like the sigmal metalytics pro model for the versatility and all of the options, and I like the sigma metalytics pro mini for the options and the portablility. PMV stands for precious metals verifier. If you want to purchase a sigma metalytics gold and silver tester then please use the link below for a discount.

Great video on the Sigma Metalytics units. Contains a lot of details I've not seen mentioned anywhere else, like that the wands are calibrated to a specific device - I had talked to Sigma about buying a unit and they mentioned that as well.
thanks my friend I wanted to give as much info as I could but be concise about it 🔥🐉
Awesome Sigma review! This video helped me decide on the unit i want/need. I placed the order on the link you provided, and it saved me some money! Thank you. I enjoy watching your channel!
I have the Pro Mini, THANK YOU for this post! Bookmarked it for later reference. The Sigma videos aren't detailed as yours SD. Great job brother!
you are very welcome thanks for watching brother 👊🏽🔥🐉
Thanks Silver Dragons, love all the videos. Used your code this week and picked up a sweet verifier pro mini ( it will be here in a couple days)!
Thanks for the code 👍, not only did I get a crazy low price ($200 off retail before using your code) when I went to my cart with your code, saved another $30!🪙🪙🪙
Definitely going to reinvest my savings in silver.
Keep the videos coming!
We take gold and silver as payment for firearms, so we bought the Pro with the external bridge.
We found 2 fake APMEX silver bars. I kinda wish we would have opted for the Pro-Mini.
wow FAKE APMEX BARS 🤯 honestly I think the best combo would be to have the pro with the bridge and the pro min as well 🤣🔥🐉
BTW: the 1.65 resistivity reading for .999 Ag is exactly correct. (.9999 will be 1.57-1.58); focusing on the brackets sometimes is misleading. I printed a metals resistivity chart from the Sigma Metalytics website and then researched and added others so to have a better idea of proper readings (ranges) of varying PM purities. Also understanding how to use the wands properly is essential. No two metals have the same density and resistivity….I have the Pro mini with three wands and it’s working great with raw coins, slabbed coins, 100g gold bars etc. The only extra equipment I use is a small scale.
Can u use a list of the resistivity to use the PRO to test junk silver to make sure it is 90% etc?
Best video ever concerning testing precious metals. Thanks for sharing.
Just ordered a SM1501S2. Great video!
Love this video. Very informative. I was thinking of getting the original Sigma before but now I’m glad I didn’t. I will save and spring for the Pro model.
yeah the pro model really is the pinnacle! 🔥🐉
is it more reliable?
I purchased the original Sigma. I just couldn't afford the others. I'm glad I got it, though. Very informative. Thanks
yeah they are very handy when looking for fakes! 🔥🐉
Awesome demo!!!
thank you very much! 🔥🐉
I just bought the Original the other day. Should be delivered tomorrow. 👍👍
Thanks for the link and discount. Just ordered one. Have been looking for a reasonable price to buy one.
awesome great purchase my friend! which one did you get? 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 The original PMV, I think it is good enough for me, :). Sigma Metalytics's official website is always out of stock for all its machines.
Really awesome brother have a great weekend
you are welcome thanks for watching! 🔥🐉
Looks awesome
The .999 and .9999 functions for pure silver found on the conventional sigma are not needed in the PRO mini and PRO because they already feature two different colors for purity on the scale as ok range for silver, the middle green is just more pure than the orange.
yeah I wonder if they will ever add that 🧐🔥🐉
I have two of the first release precious-metals verifier I did not know that about the Leeds I’ll swap them around and see if it makes a difference I might even make a little video on it!
that would be very cool! 🔥🐉
If you flip the coin or bar on the onr sensor on the original PMV it should read both sides which would be a deeper read.
Thanks I'll buy one of these sigmas using your link
I've had the misfortune to attempt gold and silver pricing with some decent pawn and coin shops. They didn't have any testers of any quality and outright lowballed or refused recognizable bullion. If I had the mini pro on hand....
With the original, the coin that passed the conductivity test, does it pass the dimensions test?
Very interesting information
Thanks for the sharing. Do we have to do the test 1 by 1 for individual coin using the mini pro? imagine if we purchase coin by the tubes.
there is a way to speed it up the device comes with a plastic piece that keeps the bridge down 🔥🐉
How deep on the yellow is expected for a genuine 90% silver coin going to present in the Pro model? Specific gravity might also be a little off.
Can I just buy the external bridge separately, will it work with my PRO?
Do you advice to have all the three for the best result?
Nice comparison
thanks so much! 🔥🐉
I cant help but wonder with that really good "fake" silver eagle, if the weight, thickness and diameter are spot on? Seems with a copper center, one or more of those would be off making it easy to identify as counterfeit. I thinking of the original just to test coins and rounds for tungsten inserts.
Wil they test for 925 sterling coins.
I understand 90% is ok but not sure if it does 925 sterling coin.
Thanks
From what size gold and silver bullion bar is it necessary to use the external bridge attachment?
We only recommend the bridge for 100oz bars, anything less can just be testing with the standard unit and/or wands.
Another question, does anyone know how deep a PMI gun can get?
I like the pro but if it only detects pure coins only or does it detect 90% for numismatic coin collectors?
I bought the large PRO and never have regretted it at all , since I buy gold also works wonders.
Have you tried the tablet model? I'm looking to get one a little cheaper rn but I don't wanna go to cheap where I screw myself lol
Is everything (not secondary market) that I buy from APMEX safe?
Guys, if you toss a fake gold coin (a gold over tungsten coin for example), does it sound the same as a pure gold coin?
Good video I only wish that you would have shown visually how that fake coin passed the original tester but failed the specific gravity test on the other machines.
A counterfeit can mimic a metal’s resistivity or density, but not both simultaneously. This is what makes the Pro and Pro mini both such amazing tools.
Thank u for a very informative video- question from a beginner: re the Mini - I got confused a bit with the 99 vs 999 settings - how would it read a Gold Krugerrand which we know has a copper coating ? Any setting adjustments ? Thanks 😊
There are multiple 22K settings, all will test Krugs, AGE, 90%, etc
@@AGBullion If you buy the pro with the wands and at a later date decide to get the external bridge, does it have to be calibrated with the machine?
@@jasons4219 Yes, you would have to ship the unit to Sigma to have them calibrate it, which is a lot more costly than ordering it with the bridge up front.
Our inventory got wiped out this week but are accepting back orders on bridge units on the website, short lead time.
@@AGBullion thanks a bunch, appreciate the quick response
What’s up with the wand restriction/inconvenience?
I know this video has been out for a while but regarding whether I'll get a response or not I'm still curious , if the original sigma failed to spot fake silver would the wands spot the fakes? Also, If I buy the original with the wands along with a digital scale and some neodymium magnets, would that be good strategy to spot fakes be that I can't afford the more expensive models? I'm just trying to figure out what the best budget strategy would be and like to know the opinion of experienced stackers. Thanks.
hey SD
is there an option to check 14 karat gold with the original sigma
Hello, the discount link no longer works??
Make sure you do the dimensions as copper will test as silver with these devices.
Thank you for the review; Can these sigma machine be battery operated or usb, or only 110 wall outlets?
They are supplied with a usb cable.
Is the (Original) perfect for 10 gram to 100 gram gold bars? I have thought of getting 1/2 kilo and 1 kilo silver bars. So would the Original with a wand work well enough?
Yes, that would work just fine!
Just got mine today, sigma bullion. From Aleks. :) Best deal for sure
Hi Silver Dragons. Can the Sigma Metalytics Gold Verifier test for platinum and palladium ?
Yes, and many others.
Ah man, I missed the broadcast last night! Darn wife... :o( lol
bummer haha there will be one
next week! 🔥🐉
for the specific gravity how does it know the thickness?
@Silver Dragons in interested in buying a machine. Does it ship right away? Do they send you email confirmation and tracking numbers?
Yes and yes :)
With the Sigma Original, if I flip the coin and measure both sides haven’t I tested clear through?
On a one ounce sample, yes.
You said that the original doesn't go all the way through can't I just flip the coin to check it's other side?
Can I calculate the gravity with the original does it give me the actual density so I can calculate it on my own?
If I buy the original which complimentary test would you recommend to do in order to verify for sure
Anyone tried the Gold Screen Box? German and someone in NZ sells it, but no love in the US of A it seems
Same price as Sigma Original but can't add wands. The penetration depth of the onboard sensor is 0.6mm, just mere 0.2mm more than Sigma Original. Not worth IMO.
Very useful information.
Good video.
There is a question in my mind about these machine's ability to read gold coins like:
British Edward VII gold sovereigns (.2354 AGW),
German Wilhelm II 20 gold marks (.2305 AGW),
Russian Nicholos II 15 gold rubles (.3733 AGW).
Would you post a video in which you show how to measure these types of coins?
Ill deal with you on that old worn out original verifier, just to verify it still works properly. 👍😀
I have the OG and uts perfect for me 👍
that is awesome it is a great tool for sure! 🔥🐉
I want to buy the original but can't find one for sale anywhere in the UK
We export to the UK, just use his link to the website in bio.
What unit of measure are the numbers on the Pro model?
It’s able to measure both resistivity and conductivity.
Aleks' website is soldout, I guess this vid. is a great comercial for him. Hope he'll restock soon!
Thanks!!! The dragons crew keeps cleaning us out :)
Is there a certain discount code? Idk why but It’s not applying to me in checkout. Thanks silver dragons
It will automatically be applied if you click his link but you won’t see it until you get to the final checkout page :)
How did you come across those fake coins?
that’s great @silverdragons but i can’t buy this because i live in Canada
You should do a video with your fake coins were you test the coins with a ruler, a magnet, and then the Sigma
I have a few like that but I can make more 👍🏽🔥🐉
Appears he is sold out on many of them with Wanda. Will he restock and continue to offer them at discount?
Absolutely! Come and see us soon :)
Do you have to have these machines recalibrated once in a while
No, you push the calibration button every time you power the unit on.
@Silver Dragons If I'm getting started and I could only buy just 1 of the 3, going through a stack as fast as possible to ensure legitimacy what would I have to go with?
Check out the new investor model that launches this week. Great value and performance for the price point.

PMV pro with Bridge attachment for larger bars.
yeah that is the ultimate at home testing kit 🔥🐉
Detection thickness of 0.18mm and 0.25mm for G.O.T. seems pretty thin. Easy enough for a bad guy to fool it. If four quarters are aprx 1/4" thick, that means one quarter would be aprx 1.6mm thick. Easier to catch a fake coin than a thicker fake bar (?).
Also, what is the detection thickness for testing silver coins and bars... no sure it was mentioned. Will it test the odd foreign currency silver percentage levels... Canadian 50%, Mexican 72%, etc ?
the G.O.T. for the refiners wand is much deeper and remember the pro and pro min test all the way through when you use the bridge 🔥🐉
it has some settings for weird percentages but not a ton of them
@@SilverDragons47 no deals for Canadians ☹️ we stack gold and. silver up north as well.
but, there's a machine that allows you to test some coins with weird % like .835, 50% or just tells you what it thinks?
the x-ray machines are much more expensive and only test the surface 🔥🐉
So would testing both sides of bullion coin on the original PMV model be better than testing just one side?
BTW, The discount price isn't the best price I've found so far.
No, the PMV pro will read all the way through so no need to flip it.
Please know that we’ve seen other distributors start discounting their Sigma products up to 20% just to keep up with our low pricing.
We advertise a low price guarantee as well so just let us know :)
We also offer 24/7 customer support and believe we have the best service in the industry.

@@AGBullion Thanks for the reply. I was asking about using the original model, not the pro model, and if it would be a good idea to test both sides of a coin since, apparently, the detection penetration isn't full thickness of a coin.
@@zzyzxRDFwy15 Depending on the size of the sample, yes I would recommend checking both sides on the original since they only penetrate a few mm.
@@AGBullion How about testing in other lateral areas besides just the center of the coin?
@@zzyzxRDFwy15 Not possible on the unit itself but you can run the small wand around where applicable. The sample must cover the black circle entirely on the unit or you will get invalid readings. The pro and pro mini would eliminate the need for this as well as having the ability to do specific gravity.
Do you think that someone who only buys from one of the big online dealers needs a tester? As of now I’ve begun using the ping test.
It’s always important to verify your purchases, regardless of the origin :)
Not necessary. They test everything thoroughly. They cannot take a chance sending out a fake. Their reputation is too important. One fake would hurt their business so bad that it's super important to them.
got the original PMV ... very satisfied 👍
that is awesome it is a great tool! 🔥🐉
Does your discount link still work and give a discount? I clicked the link, went to checkout all the way to payment information, and the price stayed the same.

@@DonkusMaximus Thanks for your business!!!
So Silver Dragon, which one do you own personally then? I am shopping for one soon
He owns the Pro with all 3 wands and external bridge.
@@AGBullion thanks
Wish I could afford one
Depending on how well a fake is made, I have seen the Original Sigma PMV not pick up on some fake gold before. I don't know if the other models can also be tricked.
can't fool sigma pro through reading
Can any of these work on gold and silver jewelry ?
Sigmas are only for coins/bars,
However we do sell Kee Gold Testers which will test gold and platinum jewelry.
@Aleks Gregory Hello Sir ! I am interested about your jewellery tester. Please tell me more about it. Thanks
Should i test what i buy at a local coin shop?
can they test hand poured silver and small silver statues?
they can with the wands 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 cool...thanks! 👍
can this machine test 20 silver coins sealed inside a Tube?
You can probe the top and bottom of the tube with a wand. Not the most ideal scenario but it will work.
Has anyone tested a Gold Back on a gold/silver tester
They are too thin to be tested on a Sigma
Have the original and Pro, was very disappointed with the Pro...glad I kept the original ( Almost sold it before receiving the Pro ) . Most slabs don't fit under the fixed upper sensors on the Pro, thats a huge letdown...its great for small coins though.
hey man, can you verify small jewlery such rings or chains with the original?
@@ctrgraduaciones5174 no
If your slabs don’t fit under the sensor, then you should have gotten the external bridge for your Pro. That would solve your problem.
@@stormforge68 Will have to go see this external bridge, Thanks
What’s in the fake U.S. silver coin that was able to pass the test? How can it do that?
Likely copper since silver and copper have very similar resistivity.
It’s important to note that resistivity can be replicated and dimensions can be replicated, but counterfeits are not able to replicate both simultaneously. This is what makes the pro such an elite verifier.
Why not sho the wond working

Do these work on junk silver ( 90 % coins) Good video thanks.
Yes, absolutely! They are programmed for a variety of junk silver such as pre/post 1900
@@AGBullion is it just US junk? Or can it do all junk? For example, Sweden has junk that is between 40-83%. I don't think people are super interested in making fake swedish coins but you can never be too careful.
@@Geaxuce there are no presets for the purities you mentioned above, unfortunately.

Do You Buy Fake Coins On Purpose For Videos Or Have You Been Really Screwed Over A Bunch Of Times ?
The problem is, they cost more than a gold coin
If you have found fakes with your machine, you are ahead of the game.
you know it brother 👊🏽🔥🐉
The time of writing this message, your friend's prices are about 200 dollars more expensive. The links in your video description does not change the price at all.
Couldn’t you test a kilo bar of gold or silver on the original tester using a scanning wand ? 🤷🏻♂️
The wands only penetrate a max of a couple mm.
