- In this Silver Pros Collab we talk about how to buy and store silver bullion properly. Silver Pros is a live stream with Silver Dragons and Yankee Stacking and is sponsored by Hero Bullion. When it comes to buying silver bullion in 2021 or whenever you are buying silver, you need to make sure that you are buying it from the right place and not getting scammed. One of the biggest silver stacking mistakes is buying fake silver. We recommend buying silver from a local coin shop or an online bullion dealer when you are new to investing in silver bullion. When it comes to properly and safely storing your silver bullion bars and silver bullion coins there are many silver stacking tips that we share as well. The best place to store your silver bullion is in a heavy hidden safe. We also go over some of the worst places to store your silver and the proper tubes, capsules, and flips to use as well!

The government not knowing what I am buying is always a +.
I’m EXTREMELY new to this whole thing, and have just started within the past week but have gleaned SO MUCH knowledge from everyone here that has posted as well as the videos! Thank you all for sharing our knowledge! I know and can see what’s coming plain as day and you all have helped me prep! You all are awesome! THANK YOU!
I'm looking to start stacking and I've been binge watching all of silvers and Yankees videos, a lot of info I gathered and a lot more I can gather
@@ilovekeanu2598 now is a good time to start! Prices have recently dropped! Been stacking for two years and I honestly do not regret it one bit. Not going to lie I actually enjoy getting my shipments and knowing I have something that is absolutely mine and the value will only increase with time.
I wish I started watching these videos before I started stacking, probably would have save myself quite a bit of money.
One thing I want to add to the security and storage. If you don't have a safe or maybe even if you do have a safe. Split up your stack. If you scatter it around in various locations it's less risk that all will be found. I don't have a big or very good safe and this is what I do. Just make sure not to lose track of where you keep things as you squirrel it around everywhere. Another option is to put false panels in furniture or walls.
Learn how to do 'seamelss/invisible' wallboard repair ....... . Shelves 'behind' the wallboard can be done with pocket hole screws and 2x4 or 2x3s.
Ya but the dark little wannabe gangsters will steal your furniture anyway so mabey in the walls or floors or better yet outside in the woods their scared of the woods 😂😂

Omg I'm a new stacker and I'll I would like to say is thank you for all your help I learned a lot...cry i hope I get lots like you two guys....
I really have lucked out, my local pawnshop is run by a fellow who is someone who as time goes by is more so leaning to silver and gold and less pawn shop stuff. So he gives reasonable prices and has helped me learn alot as I get into it
My two favorite stacking channels and discussing what I need as a new stacker. Just found a LCS. Been there only twice and feels like family. Only got like $75. Face value to start, but already planning many more visits.
Bought a tube of Perth mint 1ounce silver dragon bars!! Only 250k minted!!
Another tip for hiding coins is don’t tell everyone you have it. Keep it between you and your close friends and family. Don’t post on social media etc. if you don’t talk about it then you are not a target for that particular reason. Also a security system helps too.
I bought a few oz. a few years and had to sell and I am just starting again. Feels good.
I contribute my start over due to my ex wife

Back when I lived in military housing and couldn't bolt a safe to the floor, and moving a safe every couple of years would have been a pain in the butt, I stored my bullion at the bottom of a wooden crate that had rusty old tire chains in it. Who in their right mind would want to steal tire chains in Fort Campbell, KY or Fort Gordon, GA?
I'm on active duty and facing the same issues. I've got a move from OCONUS to CONUS coming up and I sure as hell don't trust the movers with a safe full of precious metals.

Most burglars... would only go for the quick snatch highly liquid common goods like ipads laptops phones cash jewlerbox jewlery ... they ain't thinking about creative places
When I got broken into when I lived in a share house
They tossed every room ..threw all the clothes out of drawers and took all the playstations and laptops and loose cash laying around in jewlery boxes and things ... elaborate false bottom items would probably not be a thought unless they 1. Who in their right mind would have rusty chains in the first place?

Went by my first large coin dealer shop today. The elderly man was really friendly really helpful, the corn-fed boys didn't talk too much they just watch me real close. Could you list some tools needed to take up stacking? Recommended scales, testers, silica? etc.
I picked up a great scale that measures oz and grams for the kitchen on amazon. Very cheap but really accurate. It's only about 1 inch high.

Love the content! More importantly- In your opinion what humidity should a room or safe be at to protect your precious metals while being stored. And what is the best method to keeping the humidity at that level?
I've heard that keeping the silver in climate controlled locations is best. So, AC if too hot, and heat if too cold. And anything that keeps the humidity stable. Those little packets that come in food packages to keep the food fresh can be used to keep humidity down. And, apparently you can refresh those by putting them out in the sun every so often.
I think Silver Dragons posted a video on this not that long ago.
Hope that helps...🌞🙏🌞

that’s ideal for PM’s. I currently use silica packs and Sun bath them as well as the reusable ones you can bake.

@@eaglepatriot1158 recently, I have run across people that don't exactly understand how much silver coins or bullion are really worth. And they must have done absolutely zero research, because even a simple Google search of silver will bring up something about spot price.
The first person I came across, I was honest and told them a lot of what I know about silver. They had like 60 mercury dimes, 5 ASE, a 1964 Kennedy, and 4 generic rounds. I gave them $28 each for the rounds and ASE, $9 for the kennedy, and $2 for the mercury dimes. That person didn't have a set price, as they initially were selling a generic rounds for $70 each; I simply asked they them if they were willing to negotiate, and then told them all that.
But the second person already the coins set at a price. I just decided to come in and swoop it up without saying anything but thanks.
Just like with buying things, you win some and you lose some in terms of selling as well. It all equals out or goes more in your favor in the end; at least, I hope it does for you all! I know it has for me so far!

I do respect your opinion but I have to disagree with you on this point. Thanks for the video.
I put a British copper large cent in a flip, it corroded so badly over time it was unrecognizable.
Hero Bullion is sold out of Silver Kilo Bars. Do you know when they will be back in stock?
Around noon.
I’ve always found the idea of a 401k absurd. And you 2 just enforced that feeling.
When burying, put the bullion at least one foot below some buried old metal, such as rusty pipes, and then bury pipes along the same line or in other parts of the yard. It would take a long time for a thief with a metal detector to dig up your whole yard. Provide a sealed envelope with a map or riddle (without addresses, etc.) to be opened upon your incapacity/death to one trusted person, and don't tell the person that it is a direction to the buried bullion.
Is it wise to put smaller coins in the 40mm capsules? I mostly own ASE, but I have some cool smaller coins from the USSR I want to protect as well.
Nice where do you buy USSR coins from? My comrade I mean father in law grew up there and likes to collect old stuff.
You can find tubes that fit those coins and store them in that without capsules. Capsuling each one individually is unnecessary though. But feel free to do it anyway, if you like to take them out and look at them every now and then. I have a capsule tube of ASE's in capsules for the same reason.
I always enjoy the videos, quick question. Where do you recommend buying full tubes of bullion? I use SD Bullion, do they send you the tube when you buy 20+ or do you use a specific website?

Every online dealer I know of sends the "tube count" in a tube. If you buy 20 Silver Eagles, they're going to ship it in a mint tube. 25 Maple Leafs, mint tube. 10 Maples and 15 Britannias, it's a crapshoot. They may or may not send the Britannias in a tube, unlikely to send the Maples. (The tubes are different).
The tube count will be in the product description. The Perth Mint coins that come in capsules won't come in tubes, instead the "tube count" will just be a shrink wrapped roll of capsules.
My LCS does ask me personal questions, like, "where is your better half?" Ha ha. What a wonderful guy he is. A few years in and he is the ONLY LCS I do business with. Now, I'm in Oregon, like "Dragons" and years ago met Dennis and he's awesome too and if the deal is right, I'd deal with him for sure. I should probably go in there and establish a business relationship as well. But it's great to have a good business and friendship relationship with your LCS like knowing your both always exercise the 2A and have the back of the other. Good times. I no longer deal with APMEX or JM. It's only SD and Hero for me now as they still take money orders and I prefer to be "off the government radar" which is what we as stackers are or should be all about...
There are several reported cases where stuff has gone missing from safe deposit boxes, also there are no guarantees unlike deposits of cash into your accounts. There is no FDIC insurance on anything in a safe deposit box.
Hi Silver Dragons, I have a question for you. I purchased a few goldbacks about a year ago and never hear anything about them from any precious metals person. Can u do a video about them sometime?
I go to this local scrap metal place that offer great prices on silver. I get unique pieces with high premiums pretty often because he just gives me random rounds. I think he’s secretly helping me build a diverse stack lol
Scrap metal place, curious, not a recycling place?

What constitutes a “good local dealer?” I’ve been using a place nearby so I can pay cash, and the first time I bought I got spot price. Every time since then they’ve charged me $3.50 over spot. Their prices make them basically the same as buying online, so the only benefit to buying local at that point is shipping costs, which typically are zero for the volume I purchase. Should I consider using an online dealer instead of the local guy? If I did, it would actually make my life a little easier and give me more privacy.
If you can establish a good relationship with the local dealer then they can be beneficial to your stacking journey. If they aren't the friendly and happy to chat type and won't do you no favors, then maybe go online if you get the free shipping :)

Years ago on my Birthday I got my Gold/Silver stolen while out for Dinner.
It was in my closet in a heavish safe hidden under clothes.
They broke open the safe, but it back the way it was, so I didn't even notice until the next morning.
Cop's were called, investigated the scene.
I called and went to local coin dealers and pawnshops so they could be on the look out for anyone trying to sell my coins.
(Unsolved mystery).
PS my sister's say I should keep my new collection in a bank "Safe Depot Box " !!!
In the ground in the backyard 🙂 is a good idea for me.
Or up in the mountains in a tree stump.
Yeah I got into that trap at the begining of my journey with silver... Last week made reorganization in my stack to get rid of few "cool coins" I have in my stack. But got into numismatics and that's also something that doesnt help stacking ;)
