To me it seemed like they picked up Tatar because of the injuries to the team. He isn't a player that move the dial at all for the team but for a fifth round pick, Tatar is a roster spot plug.

I mean, he got a goal and an assist tonight in only his 2nd game, so I’m happy with it so far 😂

Unfortunately, I don’t believe Kraken will qualify for playoff after this season. Since 2005-2006 season when SO was introduced, excluding short ones, only 10 teams had 28 points after 32 games. Guess what, NONE of them qualified for post season.
It’s OK for me to stop worrying about points and enjoy hockey. We definitely will see a lot of interesting changes that happen to Kraken squad

You need that $50,000 do you can actually have a professional goalie start for you if it comes to that. Unlike the Leafs that had to start college goalies because they didn't have the cap space.

Tolvanen was 23 and a prospect. Tatar is spackle on a rotting season. They are not the same. The minutes are better used on younger players.
Playoffs for a team that has struggled to get to .500 is laughable.

Not when you don’t have younger players to give minutes. Literally no one in our roster pool is going to bring what Tatar has or is even ready to step into top line minutes.

If we’re gonna praise Joey we need to also criticize… his shootout performance was awful. Also the team did a good job of keeping Kings to the outside. He’s also done the Joey where he’s gotten way out of position and been bailed out by the team. I really don’t want him as the starter

Criticizing a goalie in a 9 round shootout is kinda silly imo

@krakenspectacor just because they pointed it out, doesn't make it right. And they both backtracked the criticism as well, if you paid attention. If you are trying to discredit 65 minutes of great play with "boohoo his shootout wasn't good enough" then you're just spouting hater nonsense.

@@ryanhousden5623 loving how you’re putting words into my mouth. Sign of someone with no point. It’s ok to admit your pet goalie has some flaws in his game. Go touch some grass kid. The fact that your comments are getting upvotes is sad. Says a lot of people think Joey is infallible and above criticism. These same folks probably are all over Gru too.

@krakenspectacor I like Joey, but I'm certainly no homer. I just don't know how you can watch what Joey has done the past 7 games or so and not be a bit more ecstatic about it. I like Gru too, but there has never been a 7 game stretch where he's been this dominant. Joey is playing confidently and extremely well. He has earned the starting role, regardless of Gru's health.
