Got my tix to the first round of the draft for my vegas trip! Excited to check off two firsts at once - an NHL draft and visiting the sphere.

Excellent review. This coach is all about getting the conveyor belt of kids into the NHL. Suspect it’s going to be a rocky year 4 but the window opens year 5. Getting a little competition for minutes will be a novelty for this team. Bylsma as well positioned as any of the candidates could be. Wonder if one of the others will accept the CV job if it opens up as a consolation since getting the kids up to speed is going to be an ongoing process for several more seasons

Fantastic podcast, I learned a ton from listening to your analysis. As a fan this kind of information is incredibly useful as a baseline to prepare for the announcement of whoever the Kraken go with. I'm totally fine with 2 hours when the content is this good. Keep it up guys! Looking forward to the upcoming draft coverage as well.

I'd like to see the Kraken give a couple of guys a chance to make their case. I think Joel Ward has been a very solid assistant in the AHL and with Vegas and warrants an interview. I'd also like to see them interview Mitch Love. He had a couple of seasons as a head coach in the AHL and spent this year as an assistant with the Capitals. He also has a local connection having played and coached in Everett. Both are probably a few years away from being really viable as NHL head coaches, but they will be there soon.

With what you guys were describing about Jay Woodcroft, would you say he’s kind of the NHL version of Brandon Staley? Sounds like it’s quite an apt comparison.

I have not listened to/watched one of your podcasts since the Kraken's first season but a few popped up on my CZcams menu. In watching, I noted the same thoughts as I had those years ago on the format of the podcasts which stopped me from continuing.
That is, the podcasts have some good info, but it is not well presented, as neither of the presenters are naturals. To overcome this, a third person acting as a moderator would greatly assist to focus the topics and bring out the expertise.
Also, it would help to have the current topic shown on the screen and chapters to be added to the video cut to make it easy to find sections people would want to watch.
It also seems like the advantages of CZcams are not being used, like the ability to display more graphics instead of just two talking heads.
And there is a need for an editor, as things needs to be tightened up, as this should have been a 1 hour instead of 2 hour podcast, as not that many people are going to stick around for that long.
I would also try to do joint work with other local sites, like Cheat Seats, Sound of Hockey, DJLR, and Seattle Hockey Insider, as you can see by watching lots of the Canadian hockey shows, they are constantly having guests from other shows to make it more interesting.
Good luck, will check back sometime to see if anything changes.
