    This was actually very interesting and informative. Was shocking(in a + way) to see how a shock absorber is made. The components looked beautiful at the earlier stages. Love the yellow/purple touches in the facility. The catering alone tells you they mean business. Thanks for the bad jokes too btw.

    KW V3 Clubsport has been on my car a Mitsubishi Evo VI for 5 years and it's been really good very good.

    Fitted KW V3s to my shitbox (suspension costs as much as the car!) and I regret nothing. Best suspension I’ve ever had on anything, can’t even imagine how much better the race suspension is.

    If I saw that correctly they only used 4 of the 7 posts for the setup. The other 3 posts would have been in touch directly to the chassis to simulate the influences of lateral and longitudinal forces of cornering, braking and accelerating during the 4 post "shaker test". Correct me if I'm wrong.

    4:00 i wouldn't leave metal tubes outside without a shelter even if they are stainless steel. They can still detoriate from long term exposure to weather conditions.

      @@vollcare4076 they are for my 2016 VW GTI Autobahn with Dynamic Chassis Control. The KW V3 DCC works with the stock mode selector.

      @@kpSTI05 there is no V3 DCC:
      You can either get a V3 without electronic damper adjustment or you can get a DDC with electronic damper adjustment which works with OEM mode selecter. But that’s not a V3

    I love the kw brand because of the history ,I would love to have a set for my car but unfortunately they don't make any off the shelf model for my rx7 fd ... and way over budget to have them custom build for me ,real sad...

    Personally not a fan of KW/ST (road) coilovers. I once bought a 2nd hand set for a works Mini. KW would only give me a very limited amount of data about the damping curves. Put them on a shock dyno and they almost matched what KW gave me in terms of spec but I couldn't ever get them setup properly for road use, they were always too harsh and felt like the digression/knee for rebound was set too high and were missing low speed compression. Also the default spring rates they supplied with the coilovers didn't feel suited for a road car; they gave ride frequency values that were higher at the front than the rear and the car pitched a lot. They also really didn't want to service the dampers, presumably because they knew that they were working as designed(not a compliment). Oh yeah and they use proprietary seals that you can't obtain to service them on your own and they won't revalve unless you have the dedicated track dampers(Clubsports I think?)
    Maybe the experience with the clubsport/track kits is better than with the road ones, but I was thoroughly unimpressed. Meanwhile Bilstein were willing to design and sell me a set of adaptive dampers(which didn't and still don't exist for the model), whereas KW said it was just impossible to even give me the MRF dampers even without the electronics or controllers, which I was willing to program myself.

      I doubt you will hear Misha or anyone else from Apex say anything bad about JRZ. What I would say is that when you see what Manthey uses and understand that they could run setups from any manufacturer they choose, that speaks volumes. Plus, the suspension was set up by KW using their own car to simulate the demands it will be facing and thus was fine tuned to a level that is on par with top race teams. The JRZ setup was no doubt very good. However, this setup was probably amazing. Seeing how good this car was before, I can't wait to see the next version.

      It's all about sponsorship. Unfortunately they got into the habit of overselling the products they use so when they switch they try and ignore the fact that they have done so. Just like stahlus was soo much better than wiechers e cc cspt they were comparing bolt on cages (often half cages) to fully welded on race cages. But that they won't say unless you bug them.

      At around 1 min he talks about a race. On the instagram post he said is was during the last race. So I think the crash happened AFTER the suspension upgrade and this is a fairly old video?
