I’ve been playing Toreba for about 3 or 4 years! It’s not a scam, and I’ve won multiple prizes completely for free! It’s different from an American crane game, where the goal is usually more to use the crane to push or play the prize, rather than pick it up directly
For the longer ones (like the towels) you need to pick it up from the very front, and slightly off to one side so the edge of the claw will hook it and move it more to the opposite side, and forward. Then do it the opposite to inch it out of the spot until it’s fully out, and you can either keep inching it or turn it to the side and have it slip through that way!
For prizes like the figure he won, you want to have the machine go as far to one side as possible which still hooking it, and go to the very end to slowly turn it to the side like he did, and try to get it through the slot.
If you’re new I’d recommend trying out a few machines with just the free plays, so you can get a feel for it! If you’re willing to spend money there’s special prizes right now that will give you the prize after 10 consecutive plays, I won a giant lizard plush the other day by doing that! It’s roughly $25, or if you use free plays it can be a bit less
Definitely not a scam, however it does take a while to receive prizes as it’s shipping from Japan. I’ve had mine arrive from a month to four months, but some people in Canada have waited a year because of the quarantine limiting stuff
Hope this helps someone! I’m not the best at describing things, so I recommend watching machines that people are playing and seeing what they do that moves the prize the most

@@sammyog6274 you can profit! As long as you use your plays wisely, currently you can ship things out for free so you could win something without even spending anything
Each machine has different costs, I think most are in the 2,500 TP range. You can get 5,000 TP for $5, or if you buy more there’s bonuses. There’s also Toreba Prime, where it can be $3 a month at the cheapest and you’ll get 12,000 TP (I believe) each month for it.
Since most prizes are Japan / Toreba exclusive, they can be sold for a good amount! I’ve bought a good few for my Kirby collection, and I’ve seen stuff range from usually around $25 to $60, but sometimes the bigger ones can go up to $100 and still be sold
I’ve got a really big collection of stuff I’ve won and most was for free, I could probs make a couple hundred off of it all, but I like my collection so I won’t sell
There’s a Toreba subreddit you could look into where you could get more advice and see people’s strategies!

For some of these the right claw is always "shorter" and crooked.
You should use that side to push down on most of those prizes. And the left longer claw to move and adjust

This is a Japanese style crane! It’s meant to more poke or slide the prize rather than pick it up, although they do have a few machine styled like that!

Toreba is reliable for sending items, I've won three things from them before. The last time I won from them was like around a month ago, I got a Galarian Slowpoke plush & funnily enough, one of the towels you were playing for. My favorite is the shiny Celebi towel but C, the red & yellow with Pikachu on it, was in an easier position when I played the machine so I ended up winning that one. It looks great, has a hard texture to it but love how it looks. My Galarian Slowpoke plush is everything I want, Slowpoke is my favorite Pokemon so I have like 5 Slowpoke plushies & I wanted a Galarian Slowpoke plush, the Pokemon Center had one available before my birthday so I asked for one for it but it was sold out before my friend could order me one so she got me a gift card to a local pizza place to which I'm not complaining, their pizza is amazing. I've been wanting a Galarian Slowpoke plush so badly so when I saw Toreba had one, I immediately jumped on the machine that had it & it was an easy one too, I just had to knock a box off of a platform & I got it, I even wound up knocking the box into a somewhat impossible position because I got overly excited but I fixed it through some miracle. That Slowpoke is currently on my lap, I had it watch this video with me since it was in the Toreba warehouse before coming home with me.
