Dakhanee Oankaar/Dakhni Onkar - Sikh Paath + English Translation & Transliteration SHUDH UCHARAN HD

Oankaar Bani was entirely composed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji when he was talking to Hindu Sadhus. The concept of Oankaar exists in many Hindu sects and schools of thought as well.
During Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's travels, he visited Kanshi. At Kanshi, there were differences in opinion on the word Oankaar. 63 sects had different opinions on it. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji resolved these differences by putting One before Onkar. Guru Nanak Dev Ji pronounced it as Ik Onkar and everybody was convinced.
In Christianity, there is a concept that the divine is three pronged - #1 pertaining to soul (the holy ghost), #2 being God (The Father), and #3 being the son, Jesus. The Muslims have faith in two - one is God (Allah) while the second is prophet (Nabi Rasool). The shahada is incomplete without Mahamadur Rasoolalah (I am in no way trying to put down these religions).
Guru Nanak Dev Ji put the numeral one in front of Oankaar and convinced all the sects that one means we believe in One God who is merciful to everybody and has enmity towards none.

Panj Ishnan (washing feet, hands and face) is performed MINIMUM before reciting any Sikh prayer (better to take a bath). Satguru is with us at all times.
