- From the movie Fall (1997)
i will wait
you will break
i will summon
you will . . . me
i will come undone
you will succumb
i will be vestal you will bleed
i will kill time
you will singe the thread that hangs the lie
i will return the favor
i will not abate
you willingly disintegrate
i will be the undertaker
you
you can't touch me
you . . . you can't touch me
you
you can't touch me
i will remain
you will burn without a flame
i will suspend forever
i will miss the ground
you will wish me down
you will be my resurrector
i will hold my breath . . . remember
you
you can't touch me
you . . . you can't touch me
you
you can't touch me
when the living room is cold when i'm sleeping on my feet
when i wish upon the hardwood and your milky tea
when the corner of my eye follows fairies in the sun
when the silence sounds like
someone
cracking
you can't touch me
you can't touch me
you can't touch me - Hudba
most overlooked movie of all time. gets no credit, no acclaim except by those of us who were truly touched by it. Right?
right !!
Whose still binge listening to this song in 2022! ✋
Me
I did - Today... and Now Ill look up "After Fall, Winter"
Saw “Fall” late one night nearly 20 years ago on something like Showtime or Cinemax and it crushed me and instantly became one of my all time favorite movies. I have owned the DVD for years. Still cry every time I watch it or listen to this song. The movie and the song are so powerful and soul crushing.
The critics hate it because it’s not a rom-com but a truly soul crushing love story like we all experience in life.
It's such a beautiful and touching movie. An overlooked classic.
I don't know why I searched it out tonight. I'll never forget the first time seeing the ending and hearing this song. The movie was beautiful.

He wrote, produced, directed and starred in the movie and his original concept was to do a movie for every season. This movie is obviously Fall and takes place during the fall. He made a sequel with the most disturbing ending I’ve ever seen in a movie. Ever! That movie was filmed during the winter and titled “After Fall, Winter”. I think it was made about 15 years later. I don’t think that was his original intention, because he wanted to make four movies, as I stated above with each being a season but separated by a period of time. But I doubt his intention was to wait that long in between movies. But it’s difficult to get funding for movies. Although it does seem like a lot of stupid, ridiculous movies get made. Whereas he could make movies for very little money like most independent filmmakers. But I doubt there will be four movies. I actually doubt there will be a third. It’s really too sad because I think he makes wonderful films. Obviously BDSM is a part of Fall. It plays a much bigger role in the sequel. And the second movie is fantastic. But the ending is truly disturbing. Heartbreaking and disturbing!
A song from an addicting film that takes you back to when love was new, vulnerable, young, free...the what-ifs, the missed phone call, zemblanity. It asks you if you are really happy or do you wait for the next minute, hour or lifetime. Do you settle or do you confront the what-ifs, taking that chance for deep, wonderful love.
That beautiful time when there was no Facebook, Instagram etc... when people cared about inner feelings and not about photos from the party.
This song is so incredible!!! The movie is better than incredible! Eric Schaffer is a genius! I want more from him!
Me too!
Reviewers on IMDB laugh at this movie. Callous bastards, its truly one of the most moving films ever!
27 yrs ago. WOW. Heart warming love movie . Love always hurts Good or Bad . U can't help who you love.
After all these years it brings tears in my eyes. So beautiful. Real emotional. And as a musician I am crazy of the ending part in this song. Thnx Amanda. And I hope to re-see the movie as well. A timeless cult movie❤️
The ending, the raw scream into the wilderness is EVERYTHING!
Just saw for the second time After Fall, Winter. I don’t care what anyone says, but this is “Cult classic” Material, and this song is amazing. Nice to reflect after seeing this first when I was 22 now I’m almost hitting 30, a lot has changed.
SO there was a 2nd Part ?!?!? is that title After Fall- Winter? Or did I misread your comment - Please update !!
@@zedieliam Nope, I just saw it the second time. I always see this movie a few times a year. My own little tradition.
@@shardaesheis1081 You are correct - Thanks soooo much for the update - 1 Love My Sister - 1 Love !!!
@@zedieliam "Part 1" was Fall. This song is from Fall. Part 2 is After Fall, Winter.
Moving song from one of the weirdest, smuttiest but most touching films most people have never heard of. . . .
Fall 😍
Ain't that the truth
So true.
One of my all time favorite movies and the ending is totally soul crushing for anyone that has ever lost a relationship with someone they truly loved. I’m a 55 year old man that cries just thinking of Fall, esp the ending!
@@nedhill1242 After having been wrecked by something similar to this for the past 7 years, I had a good night out Saturday when I saw my Sarah though the bay window of a club, late, saying goodbyes to some man who didn't appear to be of significance. She then entered her vehicle and left. It did not affect me. I have in years past most definitely needed God's help, and boy does he come to play. That crazy God always comes to play! We are meeting to catch up next week. It is nice. For a current musical soundtrack to my own unique experience of these developments, I can refer you to Hum's "In the Den," "Desert Rambler," and "Folding" from their unsung absolute masterpiece *Inlet* released last year. Thanks again for your submission, Ned, hopefully we can give the most excellent Amanda Kravat some well deserved traction.
I loved reading all the comments on this song and movie,I was wondering what other people thought of it. I myself didn't really see the movie, the tv was on and I was asleep and this song woke me up, I felt haunted and crushed, I usually listen to R&B love songs but wow!! She just nailed it, I searched high and low for it! Thanks for sharing,I don't know what it meant to the movie but I feel what it means to me. I've lived a long hard and sometimes painful life, this song works for me,.
i love this song and i loved the film
Hits me to the core.... Awesome.... Both plot and closing song... Marvelous!!!
I hope there is a trilogy in the making bc in the second one, Sarah is shown walking amongst the crowd in the court yard. Hope so.
Still listening to this very often...
I'm still listening in 2024
Glad to see I'm not the only one who loved this song and movie.
Been one of my favorite movies and soundtrack for more than half my life
My god I love this film...and I'm in the same boat :(
@fxfrms TOO MANY people find amusing to post useless and misleading reviews on IMDb. I've seen this movie something like 10 years ago for the first time, and each time i go back and watch it, as my youthness goes into adulthood the story pinpoints deeply into different aspects of my personal life, as experiences grow about love, sex and relationships. a good deal of sensibility and humanity has been put into this movie. i'm not expecting everyone to fully understand it. this movie is outstanding
I think the song is amazing, I watched the movie by accident & the 2nd part right after. To be honest I think it was an excellent movie bcuz i dont like love stories but those movies took me to a crazy emotional state & the song had alot to do with it
Brings a tear to my eye....
I shrunk into deep deep tears with my wife enjoying (Shirley loved my involuntary responses) this amazing, captivating presentation expressed as only Eric Schaeffer could... Like the cure to an emotional abyss, and finally previous prayers only appear to be answered at that frequencies of "need U NOW" - but I cannot touch. Like another "Nail" from Pinhead (Hellraiser) to ease my misery when it's been MY Hand - on the dial all along since this movie & I froze in 1997. Thank God for my Shirley!
I’ve seen it probably 10x and I sob at the end every time!!!
Beautiful! I love this song, masterpiece.
I know that the critics slammed this movie. However it was a great love story and a lesson at the same time. For people who have never made the mistake of falling in love with someone who belonged to another you would never understand.
Eustace Watson AMEN to that
Eustace Watson I think the critics were way too hard on this film. Yes, Eric Schaefer wrote it and conveniently cast himself opposite a model. Yes, it’s not really plausible that a jet-setting supermodel would fall in love with an ordinary cab driver who just happened to be a published author. But if you can suspend disbelief, what remains is a poignant love story written from the male perspective, something that’s pretty rare in film. I wish the critics would have focused on that.
Those people DON’T know what a great movie is!!! 😡
part 2 was the most depressing thing I have ever watched but I could not take,my eyes away from the tv.
There's a part 2!!! What's the title?
@@sabrinalittle3773 i think that Dickson was just blowing smoke - soooo many people wanted a part II.... and of course nothing ever manifested to my knowledge...
The title is "After Fall, Winter" you're welcome😊
She was also the little girl with the most lines in Schaeffer's "If Lucy Fell."
davanti la bellezza di queste note l unica cosa da fare è rimanere in silenzio e goderle a pieno.......
❤❤❤
Just bought the sequel “After Fall, Winter” which takes place 15 years later in Paris. “Fall” is truly sad at the end and heart breaking. But I can’t even begin to articulate the ending to “After Fall, Winter”. Goddamn. Most shocking, fucked up ending ever! This is NOT hyperbole! It fucked me up. I was too numb to even cry. It took me 20 to 30 minutes just to process and I was speechless for at least 15 minutes. I just laid in bed numb for 30 minutes or longer. I wasn’t really back to normal until the next morning. I just. I mean it’s just fucked up. Sad doesn’t even begin to cover it. Heartbreaking even soul crushing just don’t come close to the emotions at the end.
I’ve never been this numb or felt this bad after a funeral for a grandparent.
It’s the most stunning shocking ending to any movie I have ever seen and I am 55 years old and truly love movies..
I have watched “Fall” numerous times. It’s one of my favorite movies.
“After Winter, Fall” is great and beautiful but the ending is devastating! I haven’t been able to go back and watch it a second time yet. It might be a while before I can watch it again. I have recommended “Fall” many times, but not sure I will recommend “After Fall, Winter”. The ending is just too fucked up I think for most people unless they truly love “Fall”.
Now I have to see it. I saw Fall in my dorm room in '98 after having a similar experience. Then it repeated in in '14 with someone who looked like the first, but this time the other man was there. I got her back, then she brought a new one to my house at a party. Then the next year I'd run into them with friends, an my knees knocked as she hugged me, so knowing of the oddity. I am meeting her next week with the unfortunate duty of describing what has been done to her through propaganda and social engineering. Transcending this most damnable of agonies, and loving unconditionally, is perhaps the greatest challenge of my entire life. What is so special about Fall and this song from Amanda Kravat, is how they create the precise emotional intensity of these moments, from both the point of view of the beloved Sarah, and the unrequited Michael. I could go on, perhaps for a few screen plays...in ending, thanks for sharing your experience. I have truly enjoyed reading it and seeing new activity on this page.
Good to know I wasnt the only one emotional wrecked after that ending. Like you, I was so numb and couldnt process it. It devastated me. Still haunts me to this day.. especially the FIRST time watching after fall, winter...I was just out of it.
I make it a tradition of mine to watch after fall, winter every year so i can feel something or....not
Ironically, never saw fall. Planning on it though
@@Anna-kr5zi You MUST see Fall! It has such a powerful, poignant ending thanks in part to this song & Eric Schaeffer’s beautiful monologue. It will help you make sense of After Fall Winter.
amazing artist, and I just found her "on accident".. surfing the net.
Marry Me Jane is her other band
look for song on cd called Twentyone
Trivia tidbit: Anyone else recognize Scarlett Johansson as the young girl with one line in the bizarre religious performance piece?
YES!!!
i love this song, where can i download it?
love the movie wonder if anyone has uploaded it?
classic
Okay. Maybe Eric Shiver (SCHAEFFER)whatever his name is, is a total douche nozzle ego freak. This movie is one of the best romantic love stories of all times IMO. What common romantic cant love it? It's excellent and somehow believable through the great composition. I love this movie and it gets me every time I watch it. It could happen and however on the fringes it gets, still believable. The last ten minutes are romanticism personified. It kicks Sleepless in Seattle in the balls!
Kicksmeintheshowers...it really does, but in my opinion "Dirty Dancing", "Ghost", "You've Got Mail", and "Moonlight Mile" and "Things Never Said" all kick Sleepless in Seattle in the nuts lol....
What a great movie. I love this song. What a loving emotional story an song
I actually have all of the Marry Me Jane albums as well as this Movie... even better... i have a transcript of the Poem @ the end of this movie.
Hi Michel do you still have the transcript of the poem?
Oh yes! I would love to see the transcript!
You are rich! ❤️🔥 your collection worth a lot to many of us 😺
thanks for posting!
Where can I find this song??
2024 anyone? No, just me? Ok lol
Interview where Eric goes into the film and how it is based on a love affair he had: czcams.com/video/KFaId2N3KSA/video.html
To n2yjp, re Amanda Kravett's
Green did you ever get an answer?
You were kidding weren 't you?
What is this song about?
As best I can tell, it's about a woman dealing with the guilt of rejecting a man she truly loved, integrating the emotions of it and protecting her feelings. I see it in the film as Sarah's internal world singing this to him as he reads her his poem. Perhaps yet another stroke of genius from Eric. I hadn't considered that until now, pondering your question, and I first saw the film 23 years ago.
It’s all mad.
just watched after fall winter ...crazy. I dont even like music like this but damn. I philosophically disagree with everything in this movie , particularly the nihilism and altruism. But damn this was great!

@sunnydlite011 ...I have the copy of the poem
I really don't understand the "great love story" that most people here seem to have gotten out of "Fall". This music is the only thing about it that causes the emotional stir most people associate with the movie. The entire movie was about a crush - this was never a great love affair from the woman's point of view, she told the guy right from the start that she'd never leave her husband and she never wavered in that. The man's delusion was the film's true tragedy.
Pauline Triage I think you are too young... Perhaps later
It’s a love affair, nothing more!
@@davidlochschmidt6221 I was 49 when I left the comment. I think you're the one who's too young to understand that this movie was about a fling for a woman & a doomed obsession for a man.
@@PaulineTriage It’s more than a fling...she lets him into her world, a world that he lived in for a short period when his novel was a best seller. That world was not for him and I believe he truly thought she would leave it like he did. Delusional? Quite possibly but there was a deep connection between the two that was more than just a physical attraction, the attraction was his words and that’s love.
To kicks me in the showers, from the first scene you knew how the whole film would play out and it did. You think its believable, it isn't. How many models do you know? Models don't go out with nobodies until their moment is over. The only redeeming part in the film is Amanda's incredible song. The movie was a cliche and the acting was weak.
Christie Brinkley met Billie Joel on a cross country flight and had no idea who he was. These things do happen. Not to cab drivers but in general they can and do.
