Well done Cole and Great to see you back.
Welcome back Cole, you did the right thing. You have to set your priorities and do what’s right for you. We are always here for you whenever you come back and just make sure it’s when you’re ready and don’t think you have to.
Thanks al 😁
What a fantastic role model you are for the running community, Cole. Talking about mental health so openly and maintaining a good perspective on your health and running. It's so easy to obsess over PBs, weight etc to the detriment of our mental health and other areas of life. Welcome back ❤
Thanks lizzy, there’s more to life than PB’s 😁
Good to see you back running Cole. It was a pleasure training with you yesterday at Tonbridge. You really helped me stay honest with my pace and made you work hard 😂. See you at training soon.
Haha no worries Ollie mate, keep crushing it 😄
so nice to see you back, Cole! thanks for sharing how you are doing. it's ok to be vulnerable hope you're feeling way better soon! cheers!
Thanks a lot Tercio 😄
Good on you, Cole. Just do things at your own pace, mate. Running and CZcams and whatever else is always going to be there whenever you're ready to commit again.
Wishing you well Cole 👍 It sounds like it’s been a pretty tough time recently, and that really is okay to sit in for a while. There’s a lot of truth in the ‘no mud, no lotus’ kind of phrase, but sometimes shit just stinks and it’s okay to accept that. You’ll be back and better than ever before you know it. Times of pain are times of growth after all… can’t get a big bicep without breaking it down first and it’s the same with us as people as well 🙏
I like that, no mud no lotus, I like that a lot. Appreciate it James 😃
Absolutely love every single video Cole, it just keeps getting better and better. Keep up the hard work and keep smashing it 💪
Ah thanks mate I proper appreciate that. Glad you’re enjoying the content 😁😁
Great to see you back here, Cole and to see how you are doing. I appreciate your openness and willingness to share, and I wish you nothing but the best
Thanks will, I’ll be back in no time!
Fantastic stuff, slow and steady and get the love back and if all goes to plan, hit the great times again.
Good luck on the running return fella and keep smashing it!
Thanks a lot Jamie, slow and steady sounds about right at the moment haha 🤣
Tache suits you - I did love the idea of being proactive versus blindly positive.
Cole welcome back. Was wondering where the videos have gone. I’m sure you will turn it around and come back stronger. 👊🏼
good to see you back cole
Good to see u back mate! 0:11 favourite part of the video Looking good and Cmoooon Coleeee!
The tash game is strong at the moment haha. Thank you 😃
Good to hear from you Cole and look forward to seeing more of your informative videos. The past month hasn't been great for me as running has been restricted due to a painful Achilles but seems to be on the mend now having done some rehab exercises that I did when I had the same problem a couple of years back in my other leg. Easing my way back now. Came at a bad time as I don't like time of the year much anyway due to suffering from SAD and the crap weather hasn't helped either. Amazing the impact running can have on your mental health. Anyway good to see you back mate
Thanks Geoff, I think I suffer with an element of SAD tbf too, everything seems to come crashing down as soon as it’s winter haha
So good to see you back!
Love the moustache!
Stay strong!
Take your time coming back! Running is in your blood and it will always be there!
Cheers for now!👍🇨🇦
Thanks Leighton, I’m enjoying the tash, kept me company over the last few weeks 🤣
It’s so good to see you back Cole. Love the stache and hope it stays. Glad you’ve got back to training and getting back to better place. Long may it continue ❤
Thank you! The stash might stay depending how it looks haha ;)
Good to see you back Cole. Hang on in there. Sounds like you've taken good steps to start recovery. Been out since 1st October with a hip injury myself. It sucks balls. We are all behind you every step of the way
Thanks a lot mate. I’ve struggled with finding the balance with what to share, and what not to. I don’t want to over share, but also want to be transparent. Best of luck with the hip injury!
Great to see you back at it lad, brave to put yourself out there like this too 👍
It helps me, and helps others, so it’s a win win 😁
Life ain't all happyhappy, stuff like this makes us stronger ! wishing you all the best, onwards n upwards.
Thanks a lot!
Cole, you are great! Looking forward to your future videos
Thanks Andrew 😃
Good to see you back, Cole. Can't have been easy dealing with so much going on 🤯! Bless you
Thanks a lot, keeping the chin up as they say 😁
Tache suits you IMHO - I do love the idea of being proactive versus blindly positive.
It's a tricky balance! Glad you're taking the time to work on things. You're exactly right in prioritising other things over running right now.
Thanks Jess. Final year of uni, gotta make sure I don’t look back and regret not making memories!
Thanks for sharing Cole - not easy and I’m sure others are out then who can benefit from you sharing. Like you said…. One step, one km at a time mate. Take it easy.
One step, one km, one run at a time 😃
I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been through Cole. I know you said you weren’t looking for sympathy but sometimes it’s nice just to have your feelings validated! You are so brave for sharing your story; it is likely to resonate with many and help so many others! Sounds like you’re dealing with it really well - keep it up man! We’re here for the ups and downs 💪
Thanks JT, I appreciate that. Yeah I guess some validation has really helped. Taken more steps forward since posting this video, than in the week leading up to it which is a real weight off my shoulders 😃
Good on ya matey
Well thought video.
Lots and lots of pressures atm and taking the right steps.
Thanks mate, didn’t want to overshare but also wanted to be transparent :)
Glad to see you back Cole 👍
Thanks Mike!
best wishes
Look after yourself Cole, plenty of time to focus on running goals in the future! Health comes first sir. Your 5k plan has helped me smash my target for this year already ... several times! THANK YOU!
Ah that’s great to hear, I’ll hopefully make another one soon!! 😄😄
@@ColeRunning I have a 10k at the end of Jan. would love to break 55 mins for that! Would be happy for a plan that includes a Parkrun. Thanks so much for the 5k one, you’re a legend sir 😀
Good to see you back Cole. Sorry to hear you've had it rough recently
Nothing in the grand scheme of things, just some things in my own world, I’m lucky in many other ways so I shouldn’t moan really! Tried to be open without over sharing 😄
Let's go Cole, it sounds like you have your head screwed on and identified some issues. Really glad to see an upload, keep on keeping on mate
Thank you mate, hoping to get back to it soon - gives me something to stay motivated with :)
Wow tough times. One step at a time and you'll be where you want to very very soon.
Thanks matey 😃
Take your time mate. It can only go up (like the hill) from here
Haha very true. Thank you 😁
❤❤
🤍🤍
I felt the exact same for two weeks after Manchester half too. I was exhausted. Now I can compare myself to an elite 😉😉
Your message will be empowering to a lot of athletes hitting it hard and wanting the end goal so badly at the price of other things in their lives. Keep being you, keep sharing what you’re comfortable sharing and keep leaning on that wonderful family of yours.
As for your internet family…we are here for you too
Haha we’re all elite in our own ways 🤣. Thanks for your support I really appreciate it. I wanted to be transparent without over sharing, hopefully I achieved that 😁
🐐 cole

Holllly, is this Ben is Running 🥸 or Cole 😂 good to see you back mate 👍
My tash is better for sure 😁
Hope you get better bud 😊.
Thanks Zak :)
Firstly Good to to see you back mate , not an I told you so by any means but just a reminder to fire which ever nutritionist you said you were using that was guiding you to the weight loss you mentioned in previous video , there was numerous people in the comments told you how dangerous it was and would not only cause injury from under fueling ( too much of a large calorie deficit) but also would mess with hormones ( low testosterone ) thus causing depression ..
Why oh why do people faff around with yo-yo dieting when it’s better to happen naturally based on what you eat. As a nutritionist I’d advise you to learn caloric density of foods and how not to have the wrong foods with empty benefits to your body!
Very good point James. Sadly not matter what many of us say here in comments, some always feel they know better and not open minded to listen to those of us with common sense.
I would incur people to respect the fact that you only see what I include in these videos and have no real idea of my overall diet or lifestyle. Much appreciated 🫡
Glad to hear you’re getting help. I said it in a video a few weeks back it was clear you were massively under eating for the training you were doing. You said you were working with a dietitian I’d seriously question their credentials if has led you down this path.
Unfortunately it wasn’t the dieticians fault, I decided I knew better on manier occasion. But thanks :)
@@ColeRunning corner turned ⬆️
😄
Therapy? Weight gain? Weight loss? Who have you been taking advice and listening to Cole? Hope you get better soon and good to see you back.
Yes I have been getting therapy for almost 6 weeks now and it’s helping massively. Healthy weight gain and generally a more sedentary lifestyle has led to a bit of weight gain too but nothing to stress about :)
@@ColeRunning we all wish the best for you !
Enjoy the feeling of yout fitness coming back, which will be faster than you expect. I would say build back better if that phrase hadnt been misused by politicians!
Hahaha I’ll do my best!
Hope all is well.
Thanks Jamie 😁
That mustache must go please😢 ... also when hard training and wanting to perform is not the time for losing weight it took me years to learn this😅😊good you are back, good you are enjoying the now one day at the time. You are young take care of yourself you have a lot of life to keep running❤it may feel overwhelming at times but everything will be okay❤
the moustache for mens mental health month
Well said. I quite like the tash tho I’ll be totally honest! 😆
Great to see you back Cole... C'mon Coleee! 🚀🚀
YT video recommendation.... Nick Dixon 'HILARIOUS Jordan Peterson impression'.... thank me later 😂
Up yours woke moralists, we’ll see who cancels who.
@@_Tp__ ...and the bloody feminists
Jordan Peterson is a very, “interesting”, character 😬. Most people that buy the book don’t realise the kind of person he is behind it.
@@_Tp__ I've always found him high on consciousness and certainly a voice that deserves to be well within the Overton window.
@@Stevenc1984 Well... he doesn't really say anything profound, just a load of word salad and has some pretty dodgy views full of hate.
I'm surprised that bum fluff didn't blow off your top lip while running. 😂.
You're young you'll bounce back in no time. Just keep focused and get back in to the routine.
Thanks Kevin 😄
I ended up with COVID and now probl lost all my running that i been training for 😭
Nah you won’t have, it may seem like it at the moment. But it’ll come back sooner than you think. Just give your body the rest it needs :)
Hope you're doing well! But Jordan Peterson?! Uughhh seriously.
Yeah... But many people bought the book not knowing too much about the "other" stuff.
yeah, thats what i was thinking.
Haha, can’t say I’ve seen much of his online presence or ‘hot takes’. This book was a recommendation from a very close friend of mine :)
He’s the culture warrior in chief and a total wanker
Jordan Peterson? 😢
A recommendation from a friend :)
Well done for keeping it real buddy. I think sharing life and the all the shit that comes with it is what people appreciate . We’re all human, your still a legend. Take it day by day it’s fine to have bad days just embrace them and know no matter what the sun will rise again tomorrow and you can start again. Good luck with your year end exams 💪💪 the fitness will come back in no time when the passion is there! Keep keeping it real and #catchyouinthenextone @ultrarunningdads
Wow thanks Philip, tried my best. Appreciate the support a lot!
Good to see you back….sounds like you’ve had it a little rough, things will get better.. do what you gotta do, your viewers won’t go away 👍
Thanks buddy, I know the Cole army are strong 😆😆
Crack on!! 👍🦾 Glad to see you're reading good material!
Thanks a lot Stuart, proper appreciate it 😄
Tache suits you - I did love the idea of being proactive versus blindly positive.
Hahah thanks a lot, I quite like the tash tbh haha
