Really appreciate your commentary on the habitat description. Looking forward to more of the 'old' footage.

    Hello Oliver, glad to know travel is resuming.
    I was viewing a video from 'coralfish 12g' ....an expedition to South America with Heiko Bleher. Sadly he discovered several dead water ways where not a single fish could be found. Due to the widespread cattle and soy bean farming many water bodies have been poisoned. It was truly sad and angering to learn of such tragedy. You now saying that this was 15 yr old footage makes me wonder if this region still exists .

    • @belowwater
      @belowwater  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, habitats are disappearing everywhere, and some of the places shown in my videos are gone or permanently changed already.

    Gray sausages!
    That's the only Pike cichlid I've ever seen at a fish store
    That feeding advice should be mandatory upon purchase
    More like owning a constrictor
    Have you seen the fish at around 3 minutes excavating that pit that is used for egg and Fry management? Or is it made by another critter? That's the deepest most manageable fry containment system I've seen in nature, everything else has just been scattered pebbles or depressions, you do such fascinating work, thank you
