They're well aware it's "underrated." It's still not a better deal than many of the Taramps out there. You can literally buy the MD12k for the same price.

Interesting concept but the unboxing and your input is necessary. Everything else is necessary too. The longer version is better.

@@bigblank69 agree, but the short version is good too. Maybe have 2 separate videos for each amp tested a short Dyno and an unboxing. Just a thought, because it was kinda cool to know about this amp in this way so I can look into the amp before you give more input and decide if it might be an amp to have interest in.

Now you need to test the WFO 5.1D before I buy it. I already have the WFO 2.1D and it's an animal! I have it on 1 Fi Audio Q 18" in a 5.3ft³ box in my FR-S and it's insane. It's screaming for more power and I'm screaming for 1 more 18" sub and that WFO 5.1D.

Almost every Korean amp I have tested protects at .5 on the dyno.

I couldn't help but notice CT sounds is helping sponsor your channel, which is great. I do have a comment though about CT sounds I accidentally ordered a pre-order item and I keep getting a story about why it's taking so long it's been a hundred days, which is totally not worth to me only to save like $30 , but they don't refund, but they will allow you to cancel the preorder and purchase something else they sell. My problem is I only wanted separates and a 4 channel amp I received the speakers, but not the amp and am sick of waiting I can't believe a 💯 days. Ct sounds makes a good product, but not so good to wait over 💯 days. 😳
Please do a review of the powerbass amps this one looks like it could be a steal seeing as they retail for 3 times the refurbed price. Curious if they make powerful efficient amps or junk for a lot of money haha

I think you need to extend the budget line have the 250 and under line and 251 and above. This amp is a budget gem price per watt it's right there! Cheaper then most 3500 watt amps out there

The thumbnail shows an open amplifier and, if I had not read the title, I would say that is a Crescendo BC 3500.1 D. It has the exact same Korean board as the DC 3500 as well. They are amaizing amps and I am looking forward to see how this one performs.

No..it wouldn't. Running a Taramps Bass 15k would be cleaner for less money. Or a single MD12k.
@@mitchellroberts7954 I agree, but I do think the long term quality and probably the sounds quality is better on the synergy. The taramps amp I have has insane power and the cost per watt seems to be the best price on the market. I have the hd5000 and the md8000 and they have massive power. They are safe in regards to damaging the amp, both go into protect if I distort too much.. The main thing about the taramps that I don't like is the fan noise, but for me having a fan is good. I slam bass on the way to work and home from work everyday and I have had no trouble with the hour of basically max volume that I run them at. 👍
@@mikeraskin7319 I'm getting rid of my Skar RP-2000.1D & getting a Taramps smart3 or MD5k to run on a single 18" subwoofer. That Chinese Skar is too sensitive, it gets HOT way too easy/fast. (Within 20 mins & that's being real generous) I only got it because all the great reviews but those people must never turn their volume knob up. So I'm gonna see what all the rave is about with Taramps until I can spend a grand on a great sounding reliable amp without stressing the fact that I forked out so much cash. I'll probably get a synergy amp but the next one up from the one in this video. I've seen so many great builds with synergy amps.
@@itdoesntmatterwhatyourname6128 I wrote that comment about a year ago and since then I've grown more found of my taramps they are solid still going tough and clean. The fan noise is no worse than any amp with a fan. 👍 so ya taramps is a good way to go

I know several of their models make their rated power at 12v, think its all the BASS Taramps that make their rated at 14v. What I'm wondering is if they are as power hungry as the Chinese Skar RP series...? Will be my first ever experience with Brazilian amplifiers. I do not have a second battery as of yet but I do have a brand new Northstar AGM65 under my hood, 1/0 ga OFC BIG3 Kit, new 350 amp h/o alternator that I installed last week & 1/0 ga OFC Power & Ground going to amp. Curious if I'd have any voltage issues with running the Taramps md5000... What do you think Mike? I could just go with the Smart3 until I install my Second battery in my trunk. Do you have all of your electrical beefed up?

I would like to know the same. What is the best budget amp he's tested. Is the synergy brand the best budget amp he's tested? I like after he dynoed, he hooked up to subs and said sound quality was good also.
I'm guessing now they are rated so low compared to the dyno results so that when you are running it at the box rating the amp is running less stressed. It would definitely extend the life of the components. And you actually get what you pay for.

That must be an early, or pre-production. My 3.1d has the red plate on the top, and a clip indicator on the amp. It also came with a remote with the clip indicator. Just in case anyone was curious.

Most cars dont run at 16 volts. Play it back starting at 14.4v an see if it does same ratings. Would like to see the difference
All cars have alternators..., a test bench doesnt... on a test bench you have to start higher to end at 14.4... a drain down to 14.4 is no different than a constant 14.4

Extended Raven i would be shocked if it doesn’t do rated. I think every kenwood so far has done rated plus. I have done some kenwoods using my AMM-1 and i got rated plus out of them no problem.
