That woman has all my respect. I would give up and die if my orb wasn't filling with chocolate. Josh's humility & genuine-ness (if that's a word lol) was good sportsmanship & great to see.
The fact that she went onto execute the rest of her desert do well despite that game ending setback shows tremendous character.
@@dereksbooks Right?
That woman has all my respect i would give up and die if my orb wasn't
3:50 can't she just use this sphere for the dessert? Because at the end they probably have to make a hole under the sphere to put the cake in so if she just used this sphere it already has a hole...idk tho maybe this is not the way to do it ://
@@animeic_annad9384 I thought the same, it covered most of the part and that would'hv been enough
I'm not sure why, but I quite like the way that Cryssi's sphere leaves some solid chunks of chocolate after it's been melted - it's like if someone turned an Easter Egg into an actual dessert
Ye but this is taste and how it looks not satisfying transitions
I'd like the little chocolate shell chunks
An easter egg is still smooth tho.. 😄
Well Cryssi's only left solid chunks because the caramel cooled in the time it took them to try Josh's dish.

She really pulled a balloon out of no where
maybe she can pull a bunny out of a hat too
You know where she pulled it from 😳
My guess is they where given a tutorial on how to replicate it and the balloon method was an option.
@@ApplePotato yes, that's what i thought
i might just be dumb but idk why she didnt just put the sphere in warmer water to melt it more
Cryssi’s determination is something I really admire, she’s really is a great inspiration!
I know right
Agreed! Josh deserved to win the challenge IMO, but Cryssi has nothing to be ashamed of. She went down swinging and never gave up, she's a true warrior.
@Loool Banned ??? Wtf is wrong with you?? You've literally been slandering Cryssi across a few videos now??
@@Mamaaaaaaooohhh just ignore them. They act this way to grab attention
its all scripted my guy haha
The way they applauded Josh for pulling off the choco sphere. It really actually makes sense as Alvin said that even professional chefs really screw it up. So basically they've seen a homecook pull it off better than some pros.
What I liked is Claudio's reaction he was so nervous like his life depended on it xD
I love that they don’t brag about having experience like in Butcher. They make very b “You should’ve known better” mistakes

@@marcusyong4840 pog
When he said "Not perfect on the outside but pretty on the inside" for some reason I expected a "just like you" after 😭😭
@@user-ui9xu8er8w Automatic Disqualification and violation Lmao😂😂😂
Now all of a sudden my stomach’s rumbling
The fact they still reassure her, that though its not perfect, its still beautiful. Something can look perfect on the outside, but be underwhelming upon taking a bite. But, something can look flawed, while being absolutely stunning upon taking a bite. I feel like many people could learn from this.
So basically-
Josh: Outside great. Inside not so great
Cryssi: Inside great. Outside not so great
Pretty much. If it was a different type of challenge Cryssi might have won, but because this was a replication challenge Josh won because his dish pretty much perfectly replicated the original dish's appearance.
@@juansanchez209 Plus the inside of Josh's dish had very minor flaws, whereas Cryssi's outside had some pretty major flaws
No, the inside of his dish was pretty close to perfect still, so.
I really didn’t expect the lumberjack to have such great outside though
So basically Josh Outside great inside not so great Cryssi inside great Outside not so great
since when did people have balloons in their kitchen
Ballons?
In the drawer next to the endless scarves, wand bouquet and playing cards
@@prozackxxv3861 that made no sense
It’s staged
It’s not a balloon. It came inside a little square foiled wrapper.
At the end of the day, it was a replication challenge and it was clear that Josh was gonna win.
I don’t know how many times I’ve already seen this
Lol me too.
It is their 3rd most popular Masterchef video so they just reuploaded it for some money

@@kaushikkannan4916 LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO thanks man u made my day
So, are we just ignoring that there's a random Balloon in Chrissy's desk?
I think they purposely put it there for backup
So they just keep a random balloon in a drawer
Maybe they give 2 option
They had 2 options but putting it on the table would kind of take up space, so why not put it in the draw
4:21 one of the judges said something about a second option
@@mingfanghe9892 if that’s true then why did they applaud her for being “creative” lol
I don't think it was a second option...maybe the balloon was just available in the station, like it was just kept there..afterall this is a reality show so they might be using balloons on-site, and the balloon might have been placed there. I think the cooks are well aware of the things available at their respective stations.
I love how the chefs come closer to each other and get a serious look when a home cook is gonna do something carefully😂
Cryssi's Determation is definitely something to learn from.
*determination work on ur English
Cryssis Determation is definitely something to learn from
Yeah she is determined on everything besides a proper diet
She could have put the dome in boiling water and shake it again by holding in a cloth...
it's tricky with tempered chocolate. if it overheats the chocolate won't be tempered and lose its shine and form
@@nauschl Yeah but balloon made sure that its not gonna be winning dish
Would've been better to double-boil it (put the dome in the bowl that's above the boiling water) and let it sit there for about a minute, two minutes tops, that's enough to rise to the temperature you need without going overboard, and if you go over the temperature you need, it'll be just a few degrees, more than enough for it to go down to the desired temperature when you're shaking it again
@@nauschl I mean, it's not as if the balloon was shiny so it may have still been the better option so it could at least have the shape.
do the judges really just stand there doing nothing awkwardly for an hour?
They commentate and discuss what’s going on
I'd like them to sit at a table -- drinking alcohol. That'd be hilarious.
Staged bullshit
@@Janken_Pro because they stand??? Huh???
they walk around and help
I love how even the judges are cheering them on. Canadians are so nice!
American masterchef :
Competitors cussing at each other , smirking when they make a mistake, chef's throwing plates from west dustbin to east dustbin .
Canadian masterchef : competitors encouraging each other and advicing while the chefs are moderate to provide advices shows compassion for the hard work.
Loved the way the judges were amazed with them doing this challenge
take a lot to say "I've never given up in my life". If she truly means it I really respect her
Props to her for making it that much closer than I thought
Guys it’s not staged, balloons are just common cooking tools in Canada.
If Joe was here, she'd be destroyed! “At this stage of the competition, we expect MORE from you.”
nice try lmfao
Always super proud to be Canadian. Big hugs, encouragements, camaraderie, and persistence. Very good encouragement from the judges too, she'll leave that competition feeling stronger and continuing to nurture that persistence.
they’re both winners in my heart.
I love this batch, so warm and cheering for one another ❤️🥰
A pity for Cryssi, she could have made it to the finale
I was surprised by the their compassion and empathy and then I realised
It’s CANADA😂😂
I've never seen such a peaceful masterchef

She really never gave up
Oh look, a reupload of one of the most popular Masterchef videos!
A bunch of praises so that when they send her home she won't be that sad. Bravo.
"Chocolate Sphere."
"Crap."
"No, chocolate."
When I first watched the first video, I though Crissis’ chocolate was frozen too much that she couldn’t open the globe loll
I think heating the chocolate and then bringing it down by adding more is not something that I would do because the margin of error is more here ,just heat the chocolate and put it on a table of marble or stainless steel and work your way through the chocolate using spatula and bring it down to the required temperature
josh had something. I dont know what it is but, every time I see a video with him in it draws a smile in my face.
!Oh Jeez! The Chocolate Sphere Pressure Test Was By Far The Most Difficult And Stressful Pressure Test Of Any Other Season, And Definitely My Favorite One So Far. !Because I Absolutely Adore Eating Chocolate! Now, The Pressure Was Going To Come Down To Presentation, Performance, Perfection, And Success. !And Josh Demolished The Quaterfinals Pressure Test! His Chocolate Sphere From The Outside Looked Amazing, And It Was Spot On... !But The Inside Did Not Look Too Good! Now, Cryssi On The Other Side Of The Table Did A Stupendous Job. !I Truly Have To Respect Her For Giving It Her Best Effort! The Inside Of Cryssi's Chocolate Sphere Was Absolutely Brilliant, But The Outside Was A Complete Misstep And Fail. !I Can't Believe That She Managed To Open The Sphere Successfully! I Was Having My Teeth In Horrified Distraction For Cryssi, But I Am Reliefed That The Flavors Still Represented That Night. But At The End Of The Night, We All Knew What Was Going To Happen To Cryssi. !Cryssi Got Eliminated And Was Ranked 4th Place! !Being 4th Place Is A Huge Accomplishment For Anybody Out There!

This is a work of art😄

Alvin: So...How’s your inside?
This might be one of the toughest desserts to make
I feel like Cryssi didn't have to use the balloon. From the video, it looks like there's only a tiny piece that the sphere isn't set in, and you're gonna have to chop of some of the sphere for it to actually fit over the sponge cake. Entirely possible to keep the sphere
I came after watching it in shorts😂😂😊
Looks delicious

I am just wondering, whenever they do the replication challenge, do somebody teaches them step by step for them to watch? Because they seem to be working in the same phase every replication challenge. In Zumbo's just desserts, they have a recipe on hand. These people doesn't have any
According to some interviews from the US and assuming all Masterchefs are produced more or less the same, they do get recipes off camera for the particular replication challenge.
When not filming they also get lessons from the judges and have access to a library (they cannot access it when competition starts tho) of more recipes to study and practice during free time. The cooking lessons done by the judges may or may not be related to the upcoming challenges so if a home cook slacks off he could be toast if it did become one. That is how you see a lot of the contestants who self-claim to be non-baker or when faced with exotic ingredients still manage to pull off something miraculous
@@UNSF wow this is well-explained. Thanks! I am so suprised that most of the "home cooks" can pull off dishes that seem better than the chefs sometimes. I am wondering what goes on off-camera, there are sort of like a mini culinary school happening behind the scenes.
@@onlynice9567 Well we tend to think professionals are better (tho most are), but strictly speaking professionals and amateurs are just separated by whether they get paid regularly to do the work or not, and is not exactly indicative of skill level or training.
Also, most restaurants need to worry about consistency more than innovation or complexity. Masterchef contestants have the luxury of focusing on just one dish (or a few dishes in team challenges) when professional chefs need to memorize and be consistent on the entire menu.
In MC Australia they're given recipe cards. I assume they do the same in Canada.
Nice
