Big loss not having Gordon Ramsay in this episode. He could have called Eric a donut 😂
Gordan: What are you?
Eric: ☹️
Gordan: What are you?
Eric: An idiot Doughnut!
Gordan: Thankyou! 😮💨
Lololol
"When you can too greedy, I can tell you what can happen, you can end up with a big fat ZERO", those words cut into every Chinese.
This is why Eric won this whole thing....he's willing to take risks and fly too close to the sun. lol He doesn't do simple and boring. I think he HEARD Tamara and Josh talking about him and he was like "I'll show them....I'll make EIGHT donuts." lol
It’s not Josh, it’s Mike.

its like a topper thing
i'm gonna fail this time i'm gonna get really low marks

"Okay, I won, now I can go home 😥"
Chefs: You need to make at least 3 different types of donuts
Josh: Whose gonna fly too close to the sun and make 4?
Tamara: Eric
Eric: Sike. Imma make 8
That was Mike not Josh
but i think that they said at least 3
Personally I thought Eric's donuts looked awesome and him actually doing it in an hour was crazy
The wheeze i let out at this part lmfaooo, they knew him well

I love how Alvin desperately wants to tell Eric he did too much but has eaten a great doughnut

thanks God he keep his mouth shut
I feel like Eric could have done a lot better if he did 6 types. 8 is such an odd number for a dozen donuts cuz you can't even divide it equally.
Apparently, 8 is a lucky number in Chinese.
@@franticzenster8140 6 is as well, means "smooth" and "fortune", can also mean "cool" in chinese internet slang
8 can’t be decided into 4?
@@kittykat9053 4 is bad number in Chinese, he rather take a risk rather didn't follow the Feng Shui
@@kittykat9053 4 is not used because in chinese it sounds similar to die which would be impolite to do when serving food
What I love about Chef Alvin is that as intense and mean as he can often get, the advice he gives is always really good advice. As apposed to someone like Chef Joe, who never has something constructive to say, Chef Alvin usually does, even if it's buried a little. Similar to why I love Gordon Ramsey.
Joe isn't a chef
Joe isn't a chef, he's a restauranteur
Calling Joe a chef is an insult to chefs
Joe is just there for the free food
Joe is not a chef. He's a professional narcissist.
I feel like chef Alvin always gives all the pep talk and scolding to Eric because he sees his young self in him. Too excited, haphazard, risk taking. He didn't want Eric to do the mistakes that he did while learning.
Marida didnt take much risks and stuck to what she knew best but she always delivered, she got a few misses but she never got awful reviews
As Chef Alvin describes her -- a one trick phony
Alvin noticed and exposed her early in the competition
@@rdu239 yep she stuck to what she knew best
she's married to a cop, she should have had the best donuts of all!
@@ihategooglesomuch lmaoooooooooooo
Always found this a right challenge for Eric, why make something even harder than needs to, but fair play he pulled it off as won him the series in the end.
💀 Man's probably practicing with 8 kinds+ at home
I liked when Kaila was shaking her head when the judges told Eric to go upstairs when he was safe. Nice try Kaila, you can get rid off him. I can tell that her and Marida want Eric gone. Yet again, nice try. He end up winning the competition.
😂
Yeah🤣🤣
yeah she wanted pino up there bcs she knows she can beat pino
You sound like you are talking to kaila face to face
She want him gone because he is a cheap shot. Unworthy to be for far in the competition
Growing up as an Asian, my mom told if your boss ask you to do one job, out do yourself. Definitely understand Eric for going above and beyond

I love how everyone in this season hates Eric (except Julie I think). Then proceeds to demolish everyone who doubted him.
Lol Eric sucked. Alvin gave him way to many chances. Dude should’ve went home this challenge.
It's cuz he kicked the judge's shoes
Why did everyone hate him?
@@jareddavulture58 oh yeah, you should have been the judge then.

Also Eric: "im gonna do 8 different kinds of donuts"
“Did you eat this?” “I did” “Did you like it?” “I did” “I don’t” 😂😂😂😂 Also, the “it also means GREED” part killed me
This could have been Eric's end if Pino didn't mess it up so badly.
Kaila once said ya know: "Im not hoping to be the best, Im hoping someone screwed up more than I did" =))))
@@MaiNguyen-rn7zx And that’s all that matters 😂😂 So long as you’re not the worst dish of the night you’re safe
Alvin talks to Eric like that one wise but weird uncle we all have who busts your chops but teaches you lessons along the way.
They even became business partners after this, so clearly there was something genuine there.
2:00 Pino : "My skills are, uh, pretty high"
Alvin : 👁👄👁
If Gordon Ramsay was here: “So you say you made 8 donuts but I see 9. I see 8 in the box and I see the BIGGEST donut of the night standing right infront of me”
2:23 "You can already screw up 3 why would you screw up 8?"
Eric: "I'd rather ace 8 instead of acing only 3."
Legend has it Eric still doesn’t have more than one facial expression.
He has 2. 😧 and 😞
@@feqol you forgot the face he makes when he saw a 🦀 in the finals
6:42 to 6:58 I liked this little monologue Chef Alvin gives to Eric. Like he is showing clear frustration and giving criticism. But like he gave it in a way like a caring master or caring parent or family member would give. They are frustrated not because they despise you but because they don't want to see you fail and see your potential and want you to succeed.
Eric won because of his heart.. Veryy humble ❤️ You can sense that he is competent because he wants to learn not for jelousy and stuff..
bruh ngl thought her coconut donut was covered in cheese
i could tell kaila and marida wanted eric out so bad LMAO
Making the donuts different sizes has to be one of the stupidest mistake in a pressure test. For being in the final 6, you have to know better by now
"Who´s gonna fly too close to the sun and make four?" "Eric"
Eric: proceeds to make 8 different kinds
She wasn´t wrong.
I love how they always say: “ 0:31 It’s something super technical”
2:00 Alvin was like "ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT??" 🤣
Eric the king of biting off more than he can chew
& still won 😊

"Who's gonna fly too close to the sun and make 4?"
Eric: Goes to next solar system and makes 8
And he still did better than Pino.
Eric was lucky he didn't get eliminated here, tbh. That was probably the dumbest decision anyone could have possibly made in this challenge.

I can't resist MasterChef Canada episodes...
"I wanted to have smaller and bigger donuts"
Ooooof, if he said that to someone like Gordon Ramsey, and then try to double down on that mistake, Gordon would tear a strip off him
I am addicted to these videos
I know they intentionally cut it that way but it really looked like the judges would say something insulting and then just turn around a leave.
Eric got the Asian treatment from Chef Alvin
Classy gesture by Eric at the end .. gotta give him respect for that.
Chef Alvin is the best to me I like the way he critiques those are the people who help you move forward all the judges do but tough love makes life give the best hugs
Later on maybe. I remember he had a full on meltdown in season 1 during the smelts episode....
This is Masterchef Canada
AND YOU GIB ME DIS!?!
@@josiaharaki7310the 3 judges were awkwardly dickish in s1, I think they were told by the producers to mimic the US judges for the show. They become my favorite trio of judges by far after season 1.

No offense to Eric but has he ever made a caramel and not burnt it the first time?😂

why does pino gives the “i give up” aura.
My God
The pressure is felt to me very nicely
All are good at their work
Do the best
Judges are strict than before
But these judges are far more better than US MasterChef
the batch of competitors are also really nice to each other :D
6:43 angry Alvin with comebacks up his sleeve > Gordon Ramsay
Then after all that yelling: “my favorite is the sugar donut” 😂
"But it also means greed"

Cept it doesn't lol
Eric says that he hates baking when clearly donuts are fried. lol
A lot of people out there don't realise their talent.
Eric - I’m terrified of these donuts. I don’t like baking.
Also Eric - I’m gonna go ahead and make 8 different kinds of donuts!!
I'm not even gonna lie, Alvin's blue hair/blue tinted shades combo looks dope
Yeah that is what inspired me to get blue in my hair ❤❤❤❤
eric fr just took out the invincibility power-up
This is how i see it when Chef Michael, which is the sweetest of them, tells you that something is bad just leave already 😅😅😅😅
“If he… messes up”
Genuinely badass!
The display looks delicious and inviting. But it is a challenge to have their donuts look identical.
I love the edna mole judge, he is the BEST!
Gordon Ramsay would've called PINO a DONUT for sure.
Pino could have at least arranged it from small to big rather than randomly going big small medium
MasterChef Canada is back? Nice.
Eric in every challenge
**i think im going home today**
Funny how the two finalists are in the pressure test
Why are they so negative? This is the same reason why I love Eric. I have a lot of faith in him
Who'll fly too close to the sun and make 4
Eric with 8: I am the sun
I'm a professional chef, but I never bake donuts.😂😂😂
This isn't that strange. Being a pastry chef/baker is almost like a whole different skill set. It's like you can be a professional athlete and also be an inexperienced swimmer.
i guess the most important feature of a PRO is consistency.
Eric seems like that kid in class who is the nerd/teachers pet and the whole class hates on him
Eric really said double it and give it to the next person
when you try to impress things with traditional Chinese stuff, yet you get slapped in a face with "are you doctor yet"
Classic
For me at least when it comes to a cinnamon or sugar coated doughnut, it has to be super pillowy soft and far from dense. And I mean so soft that you can very easily press it flat with your hand as if its filled with air but still having something to it. Personal preference though, I just don't like dense doughnuts
6:45 "Greed is good" moment 🕶
This one is "Skill based matchmaking"
Interesting how it is MasterChef Canada and when the contestants couldn't guess the chefs are talking about donuts lol
Last dude sacrificed himself for eric lmao
Usually Alvin is the meanest of Master Chef judges but here he's a whole vibe 😂
8:05 wish I had that confidence too :'D
Those are the best looking donuts I’ve ever seen in my life.
Why do I feel bad for Eric😭
what a cool challenge!!
2:00 Bro what was Alvin’s face doing?? 💀😂🐔
Wow amazing!!!!
"That to me is a very coconut donut" - Alvin Leung 😂😂😂😂
They talk about being best chef

Eric deserved his win
He was cooking like a "best chef" from the beginning
Your name is fit as an answer for your comment.
@@hawaipizza8693 ya then why are you even replying 💀
Breakfast? I have never had a donut for breakfast.

Marida is trying to look humble but she cannot hide her happiness whenever Eric makes a miss, over confident like she knows everything and that's what causes her to lose to Eric in the finals..
While Eric on the other hand is very humble but ambitious and doesn't care if everybody doesn't want him to move forward..
No one thinks of Canada who isn’t Canadian and is like oh donuts
I always thought of donuts as more American than Canadian, but hey I am of neither nationality, so what do I really know?
