    i remember the Saturn ..the jupiter and the juno all from wemyss bay to rothsay

    Great footage of a fascinating ferry. She and her sister Juno, along with later half sister Saturn, truly stood the test of time. One can't help but wonder if they would still be going strong had CalMac not closed the Gourock/Dunoon car ferry service. How ironic there is talk of it being revived again.

    Excellent sea boats and built to last. If you re-engined those 3 they would still be running.

    I used to travel on Jupiter annually when I was a child. I remember being on board and pushing on the big tyres on the pier as she was departing, pretend it was me that was pushing the ship out.
