- Many people are shocked to hear about the cost of living in Gainesville, Georgia. It is significantly lower than our capital of Atlanta, and much lower than many states throughout the country! Let's break down these numbers and you'll figure out why so many people are moving to Northeast Georgia.

do you have HOAs in GA it's a big problem in TX
Yea I live in a place that cost around $300-350,000 that would cost several million in a place like San Francisco
I love working with out of state buyers who get so much more for their money here!
Hello Sarah. I live in Nebraska where we also do not have vehicle inspections but I consider that a negative because when the muffler falls off of someone's car they are not required to replace it and so they don't. When they drive past my house the noise is absolutely pitiful. Also I am concerned because the Wikipedia article on Gainesville Georgia says the town has a poverty rate of 29.1 percent. I was thinking about moving to the Atlanta area but I'm not sure if it would really be better.
Thanks for watching. I have to say that I don't know anyone locally who complains/or wishes we had car inspections. Also, the metro Atlanta area, including Gainesville is attracting a lot of people from out of state. Many families are fleeing inside the perimeter of Atlanta and seeking out the suburbs. Builders are developing communities, business are investing in headquarters, etc. so I don't think all of those people are wrong about how great the suburbs are. I think you should come visit and see for yourself ;)
what are your gas prices now? tX we are at 3.10 more
You forgot to mention Colorado. Our ranch doubled in price in 6 years here. That's why we're moving to Georgia. Very excited !
Thanks for this video, I'll be moving to Gainesville next year, but I would like to know about buying a car and renting an apartment for family of 3 members.
So again thanks for this video, I found it realy important for me .
That's exciting. You and your family will love Gainesville.
We love Gainesville and have been vacationing there for the last several years. We are now planning to retire to the Gainesville area, and we really enjoy your videos about the surrounding towns. Do you have anything yet for Lula? We have recently been seeing nice homes in our budget in that area.
Lula is a great area. We would love to help you find your retirement home.
@@MovingtoGeorgia Thank you. Do you have, or plan to do a video highlighting the Lula area?
We're now changing our mind about Augusta and looking at Gainesville also.
You spoke of weather in a previous video. How many days is it warm as opposed to cold? And by cold I mean below 32 degrees as coming from Colorado 32 is nothing compared to our -12 😂
Haha! We are wimps when it comes to cold temps. Getting below 32 degrees is a very rare occasion (for a high) and it would be a weather event!
Question is . Is there personal property tax on vehicle yearly ?
Great question, Georgia made the change years ago to a one time Title Ad Valorem Tax where they charge you a one time fee of 6.6% of the vehicle's value. You can look up what the tax would be here: eservices.drives.ga.gov/_/#1 After that, you pay a tag fee each year. I think my recent renewal of my tag was around $30.
Safest place to raise your kids in today society...
I grew up there...It is also the home of football player Deshawn Watson.......There is a reason why it's so cheap to live in Gainesville
