  • Need to know how to install a power cord on an appliance but not quite sure how to? In this video, I install cords on two different appliances with pretty different installation techniques. Also, we install a strain relief on the units too, which is very important.
Have a question that didn't get addressed? Comment and I'll try to respond!
Tools / Cords used for installations:

The dryer i have is mine from previous owners. Ive had many problems with it but the recent problem i have is the red wire burned up, and separated, at the connection point. Literallt burned up. I checked the existing wiring job with what said and they clearly did it wrong; the way you said other CZcams videos say to do it. Hopefully i can fix this.

If the green screw wire is white...... Which color wire will go on that screw in its place? Green still?
Nevermind - the answer is yes - i watched it again a few times. Thanks

I haven't purchased many, but apparently some new stoves don't come with cords. You have to buy them separately.

GENERALLY they do not come with cords. Some houses (newer) have 4-prong. Older houses use 3 prongs. When we sell used appliances, we sometimes keep cords on them free of charge for customers, as we don't need them. But new from the retail store, most people will need to buy a new one.
