Yay, gay dinosaurs!! 🦖🏳️🌈🦕🏳️⚧️ Happy Pride everyone!! From my own personal experience, I'm neither cis nor het but since coming out I've had some very interesting conversations about gender and attraction with friends who're one or both that've come about from applying queer ways of thinking to people who aren't. Like listening to one of my best friends who's cis talk about her experience of femininity and us realizing that she's describing gender euphoria, and some disphoria too. It's targeted at and felt by trans folks most acutely, but aggressive enforcement of the false binary obscures the fact that cis people have gender identities too. Just cause you identify with your AGAB doesn't mean you do so in the same way as everyone else who does. It seems like fruitful space for a greater understanding

I'm curious if there is a correlation w/ the density of a population and a larger ratio of homsexual individuals. Like, it would make sense (especially in social animals) that it is beneficial to have individuals who do not compete for mates in the general populous, while also willing to take in orphaned young thus increasing the survival of their species. Also, if there is a genetic component for homsexuality, how does it propagate given that for obvious reasons most homsexuals will not have biological offspring of their own? There are certainly exceptions for those going the extra step as well as those who, due to social pressures, will copulate w/ the opposite sex regardless of their preferences to produce young. With that in mind, given that it is more socially acceptable to be gay and a lot less pressure to have children would this reduce the growth of the gay population now that there isn't the same social pressures to reproduce?
Good points and thoughtful questions. You reminded me of something I heard from Betty Dodson in a video a few years ago, that everyone needs to 'come out'. Even heterosexuals. She also made an interesting ;point.

I definitely agree it is not a linear as some would like. This is reminding me of my own sexuality, which is so complicated. 😮💨 But I'm in a sharing mood so I'll explain it once, here, right now. I'll not be explaining it again 😐. So I'm nonbinary gender fluid. Meaning I have a male and female side to me and both are nonbinary. So I'm just as likely to gush over a style or art in either, while also just as likely to get confrontational or competitive as either. I'm not going to bother trying to explain the glamor aspects. Meanwhile my preference leans toward nonbinary with a strong preference to females. Though given a chance with a futa girl I would do many things that a man would do to another man. However, a great amount of my arousal is centered around female pheromones and male pheromones bring up other instinctual urges. The abridged version is that I am only gay for the ladies 😊 which is true from a few perspectives 😊 I have no interest in males, unless you count bdsm which is another ball of wax of its own😅 😅😅and I'm done over sharing. If you're not Astrid, why.. the fuck.. did you read this much???? 🧐Susss anywho... ❤❤❤
