You list 16GB memory for roughly $49 however at 10:07 you can clearly see there is 32GB of RAM installed. What gives?
Cause he's lying about what he spent and what he actually put in it. All these youtubers who claim that they built gaming pc for super cheep do.
@Blue Yeah, looks like a minor oversight.
@@AnarickTheDevil You ok bud? They are people making videos, not stars or God. You don't have to watch them if you don't want. However what you typed is a blanket statement. I'm sure there are plenty of shady CZcamsrs but 1.) Ozi is not one of them and 2.) See 1.).
The RAM I purchased was listed as 16GB of RAM, but it was actually 32GB. Here's the screenshot to prove it

That's a really solid build for budget PC gaming/Streaming online TV/General use PC.
but you can buy a used xbox for less so the price match is not accurate. Also if you remove the gpu shroud you would have better temps.
You guys living in the US are having it really easy. If this was done in a developing country the price would easily be over a $1000 even with good deals
Oh yeah, I don't doubt that. I *really* want to do a deep dive video on this topic in the future. I know there are obvious reasons why that require analysis, but I think it would be interesting to look at it from multiple lenses. Thanks for watching man! I hope things get better wherever you are

Great build! Always great to see these budget minded builds.
Watching your videos inspired me to build a budget ITX PC. Loving my Ghost S1 that I made under $500. The part finding was half the fun. Keep up the amazing content!
This just goes to show how much of an insane value the Xbox Series S is when paired with gamepass.
What is this game pass?
Pay to play online, barely any sales on games and you need to slap tax on top. Honestly, a used 6600 or 6700 XT with a cheap B150m and either a QTJ2 from China or those 11th gen soldered CPUs and some 16GB of RAM is easily reproducible and will land you around the $500 mark, giving you all advantages of a PC with 100% better performance than the Series X.
That being said, series S compared to a $250 gaming PC, even considering pay to play, is really good value across the board.
It just has a LAUGHABLY TERRIBLE low amount of storage
Tbf you can get PC game pass too

I'd recommend installing the Steam Beta Update as I think the same UI thats in the Steam Deck now replaces Big Picture Mode by default. If not, you can install the beta and create a shortcut of Steam and add -gamepadui to the end of the target field and have that open on start up for a much better experience. :)

For everyone who wants to make the build a bit cheaper here is what i did. I got an used r5 2400G and a used rx5700xt but a b450motherboard.
The benefits where that i could overclock the cpu for additional singlecore performance.
And i got the whole for about 300bucks.

Hey Fladu thanks for that 😁. How does it do performance wise I'm really interested in a build like this
@@Jay-ho1wo it performs quiet well in Forza horizon 5 i get 60fps at 4k high settings with fsr2.0 at quality preset
About 90fps in halo infinite 1440p high. And about 80 in battlefieldV at 1440p high settings.
If you have the budget i would opt for a bit higher performing cpu bc it is the bottleneck in higher fps games like battlefield…
That's a huge W there. The 2400g is a tad slow imo though

One thing to consider is that (I love PC building so it pains me to say it) the Xbox comes already made in a sleek and impressive form factor with impressively well thought out cooling. In order to achieve around parody performance, you need to buy used parts of unknown condition while the Xbox is brand new from the factory.
+ labour, research, waiting for parts, all for roughly the same price. It takes the convenience out of it which is one of the main reasons people buy a console anyway, but hey at least you made it and customised it to your liking.
@@Bear-Seek-Seek-Lest or just spend the $$$ and get a good PC that you just upgrade once in 3 years or so , i understand ppl who buy consoles , i mean its the more logical thing to do if you're a casual gamer , but more ppl who are more interested in gaming will always prefere a PC
but youre limited on console
no mods
no older tittles
or unlimited customization
@@adequate673 Obviously people who want the customation options will opt for a PC, but people who want consoles want plug + play without any troubleshooting and all the rest of it. If you were to buy and build a PC to use as a console, you may as well use that money to buy and build a PC. It goes against the target audience of consoles for much more work, higher price, and second hand parts which may or may not fail in a couple of years or be legitimate for the same price.
@@Bear-Seek-Seek-Lest it's actually not that hard lol if I can do it so should the next person I feel most of them are just lazy lol
If you would drill hole at the back of the cabinet where the PC sits, even though you keep the door open. You'll get better thermals, instead of that hot air being kept in one place, you create air movement and that is better. I have a SFF build in a cabinet and had to do it like that due to thermals and it really works.
I added a couple of case fans to the back of my cabinet with some quick Dremel work and a few holes drilled. If you dont mind two extra cables behind your pc, I seriously recommend it. It brought my thermals down significantly.
it's been awhile since i checked out your videos!! great job, love it!!!!!

1. Consoles are insane deals performance-wise.
2. GPUs aren't that expensive anymore!
Consoles are not worth the money
@@cashome9880 they are and they aren’t, it varies on your own personal usage. A lot of games I play on pc are with friends, and competitive games I play on my own. I play mostly story games, exclusives, and certain preferred games on my ps5.

@@PhyrexJ First of all I'm not arguing, it's nothing to do with my personal facts, it's actual facts that consoles can't run at max settings and at native 4k resolution in all games. But overall just mainly max settings and modded.
Honestly a very sick build, not gonna lie. If you wanted more control with the controller without having to remote into your PC, you could get controller companion for like $3 on steam. It lets you use your full PC with a controller, even gives you a circle like keyboard when you click on the stick. Plus its easy to turn on and off by pressing back + start. Makes my living room setup way more manageable, for me anyway

Ozy, this is a very good video, I think I've seen all of your stuff. This is definitely one of the best.
That's actually a really powerful gaming rig for the price. The 3060TI for that price was a steal although prices have been coming down a lot from where they were past few years. I bought my series X a year ago there's no way I could have got a 3060TI for $200. Does the budget include a controller though?
11:06 Re-pasting the card would also improve temperatures. Also, Blower cards don’t need a fan below them to perform well. Try removing it and see the effect
I would love to see how this turns out.
I forgot to mention that the card was (according to the seller) already repasted and had new thermal pads. An update video would be interesting though!
beautiful editing work on the video!
nice video man, i rly like your style of editing you made it into a story kinda haha.good stuff
yeah somebody correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't the Series X games run all current games at 4k60 fps??? how would a build like this even come close to that??
not natively lol. Usually uses some form of upscaling. 3060ti runs it natively and if he used dlss it would not even be close
Labor and time, this build is actually like $2000 haha. Convenience is nearly priceless
@@mikeslemonade if thats wroth $2k to you then im in the wrong business lmfaoo
Most console games have dynamic resolution to keep 60fps stable, even series X does not run all games at 4k60fps at all times, it just compensates with that feature turned on. Some console ports to PC recently are starting to have that as well, but tbh I much prefer just turning graphics options down a bit and achieve the same, which usually gives better perceived picture quality. A 3060ti can definitely get to 4k60fps for most console ported games, but for some of the most taxing and most recent PC games it will not be able to do without turning down graphics.
I think the need for high end GPU is highly overrated and mostly a marketing ploy to get gamers to overspend on high end flagships. Unless you are a competitive gamer who requires high refresh rate up to like 240 or even higher to gain competitive advantage, nobody needs the latest gen flagship. You can do pretty well with a latest gen mid range or last gen flagship, or even flagship from two gens ago (like a 2080ti), and you'll run most games comfortably at ~100fps with all settings turned to max.
@@fasthands1631 well factoring in building and browsing for the correct items. He also did it on Facebook market place so I imagine is drove to pick some of the items.

I actually....agree! at least partially.
You get a ton of perks going brand new on Series X, but those perks I was willing to forego for my specific needs. I (hopefully) framed this video specific to my needs clearly enough, so it's not confused with a general comparison video. Thanks for watching~

The best part about the PC is that you can incrementally upgrade it every year instead of once every 3 or 4 years, it spreads cost allowing you to spend a little more on components and means you always stay up to date for the latest games. Upgrading cooling can also give you some headroom for overclocking which can extend the life of your cpu and gpu. And its versatile, can use it for everything from video editing to work to gaming. I build my first PC in 2016 and since then I have slowly upgraded every component at least once. I happen to have the same system you have here (except bigger and hence cooler) and it crushes modern titles.
*Enter next gen amd cpus needing u to replace your whole motherboard with new expensive ones and new graphics cards most likely requiring you to upgrade your psu* all jokes though i agree it’s one of the charms of pc gaming
@@kasra8106 realistically? no. I run an AM4 Ryzen 9 5900X, and an Asus Rog Strix 3080 OC edition. Neither will require me to upgrade for the better portion of 10 years unless I have a part die due to natural silicon degradation.

So nice! I recently build a console PC for my father using components that I had laying around. Intel Q6600, a GT1030... He doesn't care about modern games, so with this he can play any game until the mid 2010s no problem. I used Playnite as a launcher, so he will never have to use a keyboard or a mouse, just his old Xbox 360 controller!

Oz you rock please keep posting on the regular man !
there are three things you can do about the gpu temp other than undervolting, repaste the thermal paste and usual blower style cards arent that good when it comes to coolings vs a dual fan config so set fan to 100%, as for the fan config have 3 intake 2 exhauset and if ur not venting the heat fast enough it get warm in the case, in my person rig i had 6 fans 1 was exhaust but the rest was intakes but my gpu would get up to 70-80, but i change the config to 3 in 3 out and temps drop to 50-60

This is great, the built is really tight and this has kept me away from doing a MicroATX but I might just do this one or something similar, I have some giftcards from Christmas, thanks for the video.
Not sure, but I think the reason that your GPU temps are a bit high is because of the airflow. The GPU uses a blower-style cooler, which means it blows all the air out the back of the gpu rather than blowing hot air everywhere. I noticed that there is a giant cable mess right behind the GPU, so what you should probably do is move those cables somehow.
I love the concept of a living room pc. I've been using one for a couple of years now and it's great. Mine has a 3600x and an rx 5700 though but it still allows me to play games pretty well. Enjoy your content.

Don't forget the cost of Xbox Live. When you buy a console, it comes with a subscription service that's optional on PC. If you keep that machine for the length of the console generation, which is like five years, you're spending hundreds more over that time.

Using a 512gb SSD is kinda cheating since the Series X has a 1 TB drive. You also have to factor in warranty, controller, OS, the fans, UHD blu-ray drive, etc.

Just do yourself a favor guys and buy an Xbox Series X or a PS5. Cheap and super strong.
Exactly these console killer PC videos are bull shit.
kinda misses the point though. Whilst if you're only gaming, yes a console is better value, obviously. But something you may also need to own is a capable computer. Do you remember the pandemic? Do you also remember how everyone rented out terrible chromebooks? Situations like that are a reason that something like this makes sense. You're never limited with a computer.
LETSSS ggoooooooo
Great video as always! I see you are using a leven drive. I've noticed they are a new player that has popped up. Would you say their drives are any good?
So happy when you upload!
Series x will still run better because of optimisation
Will you please make a video on how to build an open pc build design? Thanks for all your great content
I have a similar PC setup and ps5/series x, honestly I prefer the consoles as they are still more seamless plug and play which is better suited to my needs and with the PC you have to tinker to get things right which I find annoying however I understand PC players like this as they want more control over graphics settings. A big thing though I have an MSI RTX 3060ti and it absolutely screams playing games and I can hear it though the headset which I find really annoying and both consoles are much quieter and I can't hear them gaming with a headset.
Your back! We missed you oz!
Love your videos, can you do a video on how to upgrade prebuilt PCs for beginners?
First video I've seen of yours and I love your style man.
Oz: "and for the final gem, drumroll please...."
Oz: *grabs trumpet*
I'm still waiting on that drumroll.
keep up the good work g. Love your vids and advise.
THANK YOU for a new video 🙏 so good to see you're fine
