This was Wiltenor at their best. This particular choir was loaded with genius. It was their golden age. They were the best in Europe. I know, I was there. People wept with joy after certain songs.
At the end of the third stanza so did I cry.
So beautiful, and so sad, the song.😥
This particular choir was a huge credit to humanity. Always arrived with their very best and left no doubt of their greatness.

Always and again, I drift back to this magnificent song. As usual, the boy geniuses of Wiltenor delivers the most awesome rendition. Anything they sing turns to gold...

Angelic voices and angelic faces. We all know boys are not angels; I was one myself once. I was a bit of a devil even on Sundays.
I guess we are all human. But a "little devil" is the English way of saying a boy is a bit naughty. That is totally different from the way some people thing of Mephistopheles.
Donald Edward I think we both know what "little devil" means in that context. A little rascal. Not evil, just a lovable rouge.

So beautifully stated. That is part of the power of boys voices -- coming from beyond. It's not even a question of "children's voices" ... there is something paradoxically more remote yet more directly touching.

We sang Innsbruck Ich Muss Dich Lassen in Choir at my High School but we didn't sound NEARLY as good as these boys! GOOD JOB BOYS! You have beautiful voices!!!!!!
