Hey guy can you tell me what the difference is please from 3840×2160p and 1080p what's the difference can you tell me bro?
Should I get a monitor or a TV for a PS5 and is 4k better for a big TV since the pixels are more pronounced
Don’t tell me what to do.
😂😂😂
That’s rude
😂😂
😂😂😂😂
fr
It’s worth noting the Series X, or S for that matter, will ONLY support HDR if your monitor/tv accepts a 4K signal. Some 1080p or 1440p screens will accept 4K input and downsample to 1080p, in which case HDR will work. Just giving you guys a heads up because there’s a large number of HDR ready 1080p and 1440p screens out there.
We should add that VRR won’t work with HDR so it will force you to choose.
You need hdmi 2.1 monitor which is rare and $$$$
That’s cap I run full 4k on my games some games aren’t made to run 4k

Hello from Portugal. I am currently using a BenQ ZOWIE RL2455T 24 inch 1080p Gaming Monitor | 1ms 75Hz. I use this monitor to compete in domestic e-league (Fifa ). But im thinking about buying a 27 inch monitor...Can u help me choosing one? Please ..ps i have a budget of 350 $ tks in advance
What monitor do you recommend that's 1440p, 240hz or 160hz, and has hdmi 2.1 for vrr.
I clicked your link, and Newegg has the gigabyte monitor labeled in their 2nd product pic as HDMI 2.1, yet if you closely view the specs or a couple slides over into the pics, it's only 2.0. I find that to be very misleading...
I’m really looking to do a PC style gaming set up for my console should I wait until Black Friday to get a good gaming monitor for PS5.
I have a 1440p 165hz monitor 144hz with hdmi2.0. Will a ps5 run at 120fps at 1440p on this?
You made Valid points but I STILL want the 4k. The M32uc that was mentioned in your video right before this one seems like a good budget option for 4k 144hz at around 500$ which is not too bad if you ask me 🤷🏾♂️
Go for m32u better the c doesnt support hdmi 2.1
that what im saying the console it self can run at 4k now is all comes down to company that makes games to make it 4k but is true theres no mutch games that support right now but what if in future more and more games support 4k then what i feel i be left behind when if company start doing that !
@DTLA27 the C is hdmi 2.1
The C looks worse than the m32u, granted it is curved but that also means a VA panel instead of IPS which has better color range. IPS displays can also go to higher refresh rates which if you’re using Xbox won’t matter.
@@GubiYoroi2Agreed. What monitor did you end up going with?
Hey guys and gals can anyone of you tell me what the difference is between 1080p and 3840×2160p on a PS5 working on a 4k TV for video creation? Like I send videos to CZcams but I am wanting to know what the differences are between the two. Anyone with any info it will be appreciated. Thanks.
Does the PS5 support VRR at 1440p? I know The Xbox does going back to the One X.
I’m glad you made this video. The breakdown of the monitors involved, resolutions, and even video games that don’t even support certain resolutions or frame rates just yet, I never thought about it at all like that.
Thank you for helping me save some money. I feel like I know what I’m going to do now 🙏🏾
Nothing makes my day like seeing comments like this 😁 Glad it helped!
gaming monitors can be used with computers too you know lol is not just for ps5
@@MegaCosmoVisiontrue but if you don't have a pc just go with tv or if you have a pc which is supposedly above average in terms of specs get the monitor, if you have all of these that means u rich ,might as well get a tv and monitor while you are at it
@@linegametogether3255 you dont need to be rich to have all of that tho I mainly game on my desk as my room is small so TV is on wall and is awkward playing on the bed or looking up. I have gigabyte m28u which is probably the cheapest hdmi 2.1 monitor right now. My tv is old 4k only use it for netflix lol
@@TechAuditTVpaying for comments like this is pathetic from you.
At 27 inches I find that 4K doesn’t matter much. 1440 P is more than good enough at 27in however, I would still make sure that I get a monitor with quantum dot or 10. Bit color for the best experience
Except it does if you are trying to go for true “retina” display as apple dubs it. Higher the PPI, the harder it becomes to distinguish pixels and everything - from text to textures look richer and crisper
If you can afford it, always go for 4k. If you cannot, 1440p is fine.
I have a Dell 27inch 2k monitor at work vs a 27inch 4k monitor by LG UP850 which was around £350 with 95%dcip3 accuracy - The difference is massive in every way possible, it's a completely different experience even doing simple browsing/CZcams let alone gaming
Hi friend, I have a question. What monitor do you recommend me to play MLB the Show 23 on PS5, Is a 1440 better option than 4K for this game?
Get what u can afford
I play 4k 120 on my tv and I can’t go back to a lower resolution
So I’m new to this. I have a ps5 and a HDMI 2.1 cord that came with the system . If I get a monitor 1440p with 165hz can I play 120 fps? Even if the monitor don’t have HDMI 2.1 input
Yep! Assuming the game you are playing supports that resolution & fps.
Great points. Affordability is important and tech prices drop as the tech becomes more widely available. Also your point on most games not doing 4K 120 or even 4k 60 in some cases is important. Starfield, one of the biggest games of the year, is only doing 4k 30 so I guess it kinda shows how challenging it is for devs to ship 4k 60 or 120 games right now even with the latest gen.
Nah the consoles aren’t the problem in this case. A $1000 PC could barely run the game at 4K 30fps. It’s just not optimized well and depends on the cpu too much
Because Starfield was made on the creation engine, a gaming engine that was built in the late 2000s and was already obsolete when it was released
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIALA 1000 dollar PC with an RX 6800 will run the game at 4k high settings above 60fps.
I have a PC with a Rtx 4070 and Ryzen 9 which is way better than an rx 6800 and it can barely run the game at 4k 40fps at high settings so what you’re saying just isn’t true.
So if it can’t even do a native 4K 60fps then a $1000 PC definitely can’t especially a prebuilt one since that’s a more fair comparison since consoles are prebuilt.
A PS5 can run that game at 1440p 60fps easily and it’s only $400 compared to the price of an equivalent PC and I would know because I have both a PC and PS5
Not the case with other games that are far better than starfield😂
I got a 1440p 165hz monitor a few years ago for $200, before I even owned a PS5. Then after I finally got a PS5 I was bummed out that my monitor doesn’t have hdmi 2.1. Turns out this doesn’t really matter though, since I don’t need 4k 120. I am missing out on VRR, but I don’t need that either. All the games I play run great. Best bang for the buck out there
Just picked up a 240 hz monitor same situation
Can you give me good recommendations for 1440p monitors that are curved and 34 inch and 2.1 hdmi ?
I use the LG Ultragear 1440p 165hz on the Series X. Colors are amazing and smooth 120 frames, I have fps counter on so I can see my frames at all times. I only have “allow 50hz/24hz” and VRR enabled, everything else unchecked. I use 10 bit color setting as well.
I get what you’re saying and I am trying to buy one for my ps5 rn but Im building a pc slowly so do you still recommend not getting a 4k?
Nvm you pretty much answered my question my b lol
doesn't the games run in 4k on 4k TVs? are they just running at low FPS?
Every game can run at 4k on ps5 and series x. It's just that litterly almost no games run at 4k and 120 fps. Most games run at 4k 60 fps and really heavy to run games at 4k 30 fps
Does the PS5 VRR work on a Samsung odyssey 5?
That’s true but there are a lot of games that have 4K 60hz so you’d want the 4K for games that are say single player and more fun than competitive so it’s not like it’s a complete no for 4K 120hz
The other day I said the same thing and commenters fired back -- the idea is not necessarily 4k/120fps, but rather dynamic 4k @ 120hz so that you can have unlocked fps and play at 40-80fps (like Horizon/spiderman/god of war games).
I play in 4K60. Admittedly I've never tried 120Hz before so I don't know if that would feel better, but I have no qualms with 4K60 4ms response time
Is the prism 165hz curved one good on amazon? The ultrawide and so are you telling my getting a 4k is not worh the money for ps5 gaming? And can you recotthe exact monitor i shohld use?
What if I want a 4K 120hz monitor and have money to burn? Also wouldn’t buying this monitor even though I’m spending more save me from having to buy a new one when the next gen drops?
If a monitor is expensive today, it will likely become cheaper in the future, but new features will be added, making newer models more expensive. You can get the monitor If you want that 120hz it's up to you.
I ordered the MSI Optix MAG281URF for my ps5… does ps5 support freesync or not because this monitor used g-sync and Adaptive sync (I’ve seen it in a video that it uses adaptive sync) is it a good choice flr the ps5?

I have a question for any expert that can help me. I dont like play shooting games or fast paced racing games. I single player RPG gsmes i.e final fantasy, ghost of tsushima, god of war, dragons dogma etc
Is it ok for me to focus on 43" - 50" 4k tv with 60hz? (With HDMI 2.0]
Will it be enough for me to enjoy the full gaming experience? Do i need to worry about QLED or anything else?
Planning to buy ps5 + the tv currently on a FHD 43" + ps4 set
I would recommend go for 120hz if you can, and even if you cant run a game on 4K120fps you can just run vsync on 60 and the display being 120hz On is still better for input latency. the new hdmi standard.

Any suggestion for 32” to 40” wall mounted gaming monitor for ps5?
Look up the asrock curved monitor.
Honestly tell me what is lowest ps5 monitors vrr you can buy even tho it’s expensive
Im in a weard place. I want a 32inch display but no tv maker makes a good one. And no monitor that i could find makes a good 1080p ips monitor. My two systems are ps5 and nintendo switch amd the switch looks like crap on a 1440p.
I still need the 4K and 120hz 😂 I can’t stand playing dayz on 60fps with my rubbish TV. Getting a monitor today!!
Which monitor did you buy?
Or maybe get a better tv? They make 4k ones too. You'd get more bang for your buck because you can watch movies and TV in 4k as well as game with it. It's different for PC monitors. Unless you do all those things with a monitor or simply have the cash to spend on one, it's better to just stick with a UHD with higher hz.
Bro how must I wait literally gta 6 is coming out in 2 years and I still don't have hdr tv
I found a 34inch ultrawide monitor from Gigabyte that normally runs between $500-600 for only $150 and I'm using it for my ps5, very satisfying
ultrawide for console? Bruh, it must be very badly stretched
@@Vwashyhey bro can you suggest me which type of monitor will be good for console falt ir curved and 28inches or 32? And 2k or 4k
I'm pretty much a beginner in this stuff I did some research and I decided on a 2k 34 incher. Lo and behold I stumbled upon this video
What if you want to do the other way around like 4k 60 instead of 1440p 120, which is better??
What are you doing if you’re playing last of us or god of war 4k @60 if you’re grinding out champ on r6 siege or pred on apex higher frames with 1ms or lower are king just ask yourself if you’re a casual player or a hardcore competitive player trying to be best in the world
I got a ps5 slim digital edition and I play at 1080P 60 fps so I definitely need 1 and u may ask why and how my tv is 4K but the hdmi is hdmi 1.4
but we have so few options for 2K monitor with HDMI 2.1 unlike the 4k monitors
you dont need hdmi 2.1 for 1440p
It would be nice if they put a hdmi 2.1 like they have now and a DisplayPort 1.4a port on the consoles
You're overlooking if people use their consoles to watch multimedia applications in 4k like prime or netflix etc.. also alot of games do support 4k so I think it's better to have than not if you can afford it. I love playing on my gigabyte auros fv43u and it's features just overal are ideal for my PS5
I went from a lg 32inch ultragear 1440p monitor to a 43inch 4k 60hz vizio tv. Most games on my series x only run at 60fps anyway. Plus I get 4k visuals and my vizio tv supports vvr. Don't really play fp shooting games other than hell let loose and it looks great on my 4k 60hz tv.
Which games are actually supporting 1440p on 120hz ? On ps5
Warzone, actually a couple more of CoD, Fortnite, Spider-man, God of War: Ragnarok, Doom Eternal, Destinty 2, and some more I can’t remember right now, Devil May Cry but only the special edition I think, and Uncharted Thieves Collection. Umm, The last of Us i don’t remember but they made a remastered version and thats a maybe, so did GTA 5 but hell you can always google… I’m sure I missed some but you can surely get some fun playing those in 120hz
You were saying to get 4k monitors in your other videos 😑
So investing in a 4k 120hz hdmi 2.1 isnt worth it?
I was planning on getting the ultragear for my ps5.
I think it comes down to how you are going to use the monitor and what you play. Obviously if you are using this monitor for other stuff like design, video, watching movies then the 4K element has more of a payoff, but all that stuff will never go over 60fps anyway. So it really comes down to what you play. There are VERY few games that support 4K above 60fps. That being said, there may be games you play where you don't care about having a high refresh rate, you just want to play it in 4K. So if you are the type of player that likes to bounce between a slow paced game at 4K/60fps and then play something like Call of Duty at 1440p/120fps then an HDMI 2.1 monitor makes a lot more sense.
@@TechAuditTV I was so surprised how good higher refresh rate was, I went from a 60hz to 165hz and expected to not even notice, don't think I'll move away from 1440p for a really long while as it's the perfect sweet spot unless you need a large display

@@TechAuditTV How about 4K 120Hz on xbox Series X?
What about VRR which is now available on PS5 and Xbox? For it to work, you need HDMI 2.1. 1440p monitors don’t use 2.1 because they don’t need as much bandwidth. So you can have a VRR/freesync monitor and be completely unable to use it. You can turn it on and the console will say VRR is activated. But it’s not really working.
You don't need hdmi 2.1 to use vrr on xbox, It works with a hdmi 2.0 for me

Aren't most games not native to 1440p anyway? PS5 didn't even launch with 1440p as an option. It's just upscaled 1080p most of the time.
OLED TV is the way to go for console IMO. I like to relax and game on the big screen. I have a 1440 monitor, and a 4K TV for gaming. I've played on both and prefer the TV by a long shot, but we all have different applications and preferences
If you play competitive games that’s horrible 10ms response time @60hz because say someone has a 1ms response time @144hz 10/10 times someone of similar skills will win unless you have significantly lower in game ping
@@EvilfonicsAlmost all tv's are atrocious for competitive gaming because most tv's offer extreme input lag and response time and a 60hz refresh rate compared to monitors. Even 144hz oled tv's have bad input lag compared to a simulary priced monitor, but if all you do is casual gaming then oled tv's are excellent for consoles
Thank you so much, based on my budget I couldn't afford 4k with 120+fps but this suggestion will save me money. 1440p +120+hz is within budget and truly a sweet spot.
Thx for been honest with people
Nicely said. A 1440p monitor is the best budget option for PS5 tbh. I just wish Sony supported FreeSync, hopefully soon. I don't mind gaming at a desk so it's great!
consoles dont need freesync thats a pc thing consoles are mostly locked at 60 or 30
@katsuquiet97 wrong, most console games don't hit 60 and hover in the 50 frame range. Vrr smothes this out. Thr lack of vrr in 1440 mode makes 1440 monitors a no go for ps5. Hopefully sony will fix this with future patches though.
@@katsuquiet97totally wrong. VRR works as low as 40fps on Xbox. It’s smooths out all games you are running at 60fps. It just won’t work on 30fps games. I believe Ps5 has a worse range at 48-60 fps.

Can you not just buy a 4K monitor and set the resolution to 1440p with no issues?
No. Any non-integer resolution scaling will make the image blurry. Being unable to make pixel-perfect resizing, it will have to stretch some pixels in unintended ways to make it fit. You're almost better off with a 1080p image on a 1080p screen then a 1440p image on a 4K screen. Almost...

You don't need HDMI 2.1 for 1440p 120hz on consoles
The hdmi that comes with ps5 is a 2.1 not many people know that

It can work, but you need the right model of adaptor
Should I get a monitor or a TV for a PS5 and is 4k better for a big TV since the pixels are more pronounced
If you are getting a TV I would defeintely say go 4K (especially considering that 1440p TV's aren't really a thing. But if you go the monitor route I always suggest 1440p over 4K purely because you'll get a better return on investment than you would with 4K (at least until more games support 4K @ 120fps)
@TechAuditTV thanks so much 🙏
Sorry if I am annoying but is 120hz Necessary for PS5 since most of the games I play are story-driven not multi-player I don't know if I will be able to see that big difference between the two since most games are 60fps
@@TechAuditTV thanks for the help though 🙏
@@TechAuditTV if it's not a problem plz answer my second question 🙂 sorry for being annoying
Love your videos BTW @@TechAuditTV
1440p monitor with 60Hz monitor is it worth buying for PS5?
Yeah cuz any higher than 1080p you won’t get 120fps on console
I got a LG OLED c2 for the Xbox and ps5 and I couldn’t be happier. Game looks amazing.
Have you experienced any burn in?
@@Doriginal5 I have not I also have a lg oled g2 that’s about 3 years and no burn in.
@@Doriginal5all oled panels are made by LG. Got mine Phillips 2022, they say burn-in is a thing of the past. We play games or TV everyday, I haven't noticed anything different in the usual corners where HUDs would be
@@joa190I wouldn’t say thing of the past I fell asleep with CZcams on went to work and I still see are you still watching 😂
Thank you so much for this video❤️
make a vid on 24 inch or 27inch monitor
What about 4k 43 inch TV ?
32 inch is a good size for 4k monitor and for 1440p 27 inch is a good size
Thanks for the video brother , I’ll be real , I can see the difference when on my Xbox series X I press 4k UHD then I press 1440p , but yeah 120hertz is nice , I’ve got the lggp850 32 and I’ve turned off the auto hdr thing cause it dims my screen too much , making it less bright and just bad to look at , if u know what I should do or can recommend something then do let me know , many thanks
Adjust hdr settings
Good point.
I just got a 4k monitor. So I shouldn’t play Warzone on 4k 120hz?
u can if its supports it. u need 2.1 hdmi for that. He was just saying a lot of console games don't use it so no point in buying one.
@@Austinfdp thank you!
I have the neo g8 that I got at a great deal for like 500 bucks and it's way better than a 1440p. I can literally see the difference in graphics and most of the games I play run 120hz 4k. I am on PlayStation so it's not like I would get more framerate running 1440p. I agree, I probably wouldn't spend over a 1000 dollars for a 4k but I'm glad I got this monitor for a steal.
What are the games you play then
You are not playing any game in 4K 120hz, 99% of the 120hz games on PS5 runs at 1440p or lower.
Nah. As someone who's had 4k and 1440p monitors I have to disagree with this. Both the Series X and the PS5 output a 4k image and so buying a 1440p monitor is a massive waste of the hardware. You said it yourself, the list of 120hz games on the consoles is limited so buying any monitor that can output 120hz is a waste of money. Get a monitor that matches what the consoles are actually outputting, which is 4k at 60fps for the majority of the games. It's probably cheaper to get a 4k 60hz tv as they have Dolby Vision support, monitors don't. If you're playing from a desk then just get a cheap 4k 60hz monitor.
So don’t buy a 4K hdmi 2.1 at full price we should spend half the price and get a 1440p and than buy the 4K hdmi2.1 when it’s cheaper? For about the same combined price as just buying a full price 4K hdmi 2.1 now??
But advertises 4k monitor in bio lol
Dear youtube channels. Stop telling people what to do and what not to do.
that's why i have a 2.1 cord and monitor for my PS5 😅
How you gone say this but then reccomend the ASUS tuf
Exactly...That's why it's so important to do research...The differences between gaming on the Xbox series s, with a 32" 1440p 165hrz Gigabyte hdmi 2.0 monitor and a high-end 4k uhd monitor are not noticeable and don't justify the bigger price tag
But i prefer resolution i want obly 60fps but 4k
+ ur wrong not next gen, ps5 pro is close
