Thanks for the celebration of the youngest and greatest warrior Abhimanyu's 7.5 k (14k)th Punyathithi anniversary (Death Anniversary) on 29 October! Abhimanyu, son of Arjuna and Subhadra and grandson of Indra, was a great warrior who defeated many Rathis and Maharathis in the Mahabharata War. Abhimanyu gained knowledge while he was still in Subhadra’s womb. He heard Arjuna telling Subhadra the secrets of entering, exiting, and destroying various battle formations. He married Princess Uttara, daughter of King Virata of Matsya kingdom. He defeated great warriors like Drona, Kripa, Ashwatthama, Duryodhana, Salya, Dussasana, Bhurisrava etc. prominent heroes and waskilled in Mahabharat war by many Kaurava warriors including Karna, Duryodhana, etc. when he was weapon-less. At this time. his son Parikshit was in the womb of Uttara, and became the emporer of Kaurava/Pandava empire.
हत्वा दशसहस्राणि कौसल्यं च महारथम्।
कृष्णार्जुनसमः कार्ष्णिः शक्रलोकं गतो ध्रुवम्।।
इति श्रीमन्महाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि अभिमन्युवधपर्वणि त्रयोदशदिवसयुद्धे एकोनपञ्चाशत्तमोऽध्यायः|

The idea of the third solar eclipse emanated from an article by Dr. S Balakrishna, misinterpreted by many scholars. He worked with 13-day twin eclipses to find a probable date of the MB war. He writes:
"Further, during the war Jayadhrata was killed during evening of 13th day of war in an evening dark episode, on a clear day, which may have been a short solar eclipse occurring and concluding before sunset."
Although in his analysis he states:
"However, no eclipse was found in December period, before the winter solstice or uttara ayana."
1. The idea of 3rd eclipse could be due to him yet borrowed and repeated by Achar with no Mahabharata evidence whatsoever.
Jayadratha was killed on the 14th day evening.
It was the day of full moon.

what is krishna's yogmaya than can hide sun ? is it not true that jaydrath came in front of arjuna himself thinking that day is over ??

what were uranus, neptune, pluto known as, or called in the days of mahabharata ?? if not named yet, how can they be included in the count of "sapt grah" ???
What planets do you suggest ...as seen and in the. Company of sun (7 of them), going away from the Sun or attacking the moon after sunset?
@@NileshOak (A) Thanks for being polite & not angry. When a vratt is being told in katha form, metaphors, rupaks, slangs come in. Thus, 18 akshaohini army does not rule out the possibility of +1 more or -1 less in the army. Smilarly, whole army would not mean exact 100% count of the army. Therefore my simple inquisitiveness, for your kind consideration is 4 folds :
(1A) including Uranus etc. in your calculations /justifications should be avoided unless & until you are able to show they have been talked about by names, or by some other specific mention /"extra grahas" form in any other granthas by the same Vedvyas rishi ji
(1B) One can not pick & chose among uranus, neptune, pluto that this time one will chose all 3, that time one will chose 2, on other occassion, one will select only 1 and the like just to match forcefully with the shloka. It has to be regular, and often used and in more than grantha.
(2) As per astrology of those times, rahu & ketu are very much part of nav-grahas and alive (not mere mathematical points) as far as astrology is concerned because they give "phal" and are responsible for some happenings, results are attributed to them. So saptagraha simple means from kathavachak point of view = navgrahas - moon & sun = saptagrahas.
(3) That these seven grahas must be visible also, maybe is your own assumption. It can be upma alankar by the katha writer comparing celestial with terrestrial. and in this comparison Rahu & ketu can very much attack moon in a hidden /invisible manner as far as katha writer astrological (not astronomical) intention is concerned. Just like whole army does not mean exact 100% count of the army must be seen /visible also.
.(4) Meaning, intended interpretation of the said shlok is very much astrological of Rishi Vedvyas ji, as astronomically no planet or 7grahas can ever attack physically any of other planet or 7grahas. So if it is intended to be an upma alankar /metaphor while comparing terrestrial with celestial, then counting EXACT nos. of grahas specifically does not fit in very nicely. Just like above example of 18 akshaouhini sena, conceptof "whole army"etc.

(B) BUT the larger question is the date of Mahabharat, and not just this particular my/anybody's argument /confusion over "saptgrah". All I am personally trying to learn & understand from you is that do ALL (99.9%) the astronomical positions described by katha writer in exact whole 100% of Mahabharat itihas match perfectly (?) if we stick to the date researched by you ? (your hard work is fully appreciated & thanked for by us janata), Or is there at least 1 instance which is not matching with your researched date ? Kindly educate us on this further.
how was jaydrath killed by arjuna actually as per your understanding of mahabharata of 14th day ?
This is important to quell other doubts. Kindly elaborate. Is it not true that jyadrath was taken far away, and arjuna just could not even reach him, leave alone kill him ? If that is misconception, then we have to believe "yogmaya" of krishna ?, so that jaydrath could appear before arjun thinking sun has set ??
Was there dust pollution to hide the sun which helped killing jayadratha?

One of the arguments thrown is that Sanskrit language is only 2000 years old and hence everything considered before that doesn't hold true. All fiction.
So how old is Sanskr.

1. It existed 7500+years ago at the time of Mahabharata
2. It existed 14000+ years ago at the time of Ramayana
3. Anyone with genuine curiosity must research for its antiquity beyond these events.

Couldn't it be possible that they were including rahu/ketu as planets too?
7 planets attacking the moon :
1)Jupiter
2)Venus
3)Mars
4)Saturn
5)Mercury
6)Sun
7)Rahu or Ketu
Including Pluto, Neptune and Uranus doesn't match up to Indian astrology.

Vedic astrology has never considered Pluto, Neptune and Uranus as influencing the day to day life, as they have transits in 10/15 years which means they influence generations.
Eventhough rahu ketu are chaya grahas, still according to astrology, they can move towards or away from sun as well as moon.

I really am seeking for truth.

When is Moon afflicted as per astrology?
If it is possible to check degree wise difference between 7 planets and Moon.
1) 3rd, 7th, 10th full aspect of malefic planet Saturn on Moon means Moon degree and Saturn degree difference ~60° or ~180° or ~270° means Moon afflicted
2) Cruel planet Sun's 7th full aspect on Moon is ~180° (+/-15°) degree difference means that Moon afflicted usually occurs near full moon.
3) The 4th, 7th, 8th full aspect of the cruel planet Mars on the Moon means that the Moon and Mars have a degree difference of ~90°, ~180°, ~210° which means that the Moon is afflicted.
4) Mercury declination ~180° (+/- 10°)
5) Venus declination ~180°
6) The 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th aspect of malefic planet Rahu (or Ketu) on Moon means Moon is afflicted when Rahu and Moon have a degree difference of ~120°, ~180°, ~240°, ~330°.
7) Ketu same cause as Rahu 180° opposite to Rahu.
I don't think Vyasamuni would calculate any orbits that are not visible to the human eye (orbits of Neptune, Uranus, Pluto).
(Prejudice: there was NO availability of strong telescope during writing of Mahabharata).
But since the comet is visible(?) to the human eye, Vyasamuni might have described the Comet.
Read surya sidhantha that should stop all your wild inferences !

Rishi Vyas ji knowing them is NOT enough, in my opinion. Unless & until used extensively in more than1 granthas by Rishi Vyas. Knowing is not doubtful, because they knew much farther about twin star of arundhati & vashishtha. But its extensive usage in many granthas gives authenticity
