well they announced this in 2013 but started coding it in 2016 after dlc for witcher 3... and restarted the project (atleast once) from 3rd to 1st person :D... so yeah it needed like 1-2 years

I imagine an alternate reality where this was the actual trailer and they expected the most unplayable game, full of bugs, glitches and bad performances; but they got a good and polished game instead, and the outcome was the same as our reality.

I'll take a game that had a buggy launch and has ironed itself out more or less over a company that just straight up lied and tried to cover up the issues to fool as many people into buying it on release day as possible.

The only lasting effect this had for CDPR is it showed they stick with their games, fix their mistakes, and know how to make amazing worlds that few can match. Almost no one cares about the state of this game when it came out, we all know game dev in general is broken and rushed - CDPR's mistakes are minor compared to other studios'.
