We compare the fastest lap of a fast kart with the fastest lap of a slow kart at Capital Karts Canary Wharf. Surprisingly the slower kart had a FASTER lap time! In this video we explain why! - Sport
But you can accelerate slower with the faster Kart.
It’s very difficult in these electric karts because they have instant acceleration unlike a petrol kart where you can feather the throttle.
Electric karts the throttle is like on off really, even on a tiny bit of throttle you're getting so much torque!
Ok I haven‘t driven an electric kart yet.
@@SchlauerTyp They're prety fun man to be honest, they drive completely different. I do prefer the electric karts feel to be honest though
@@levy2jz I've only driven electric karts once before and to me the brakes were my mayor issue because they seemed to be on-off as well and I didn't like that at all

My 1st kart was well fitting but very uncomfortable ! Also made me know why JV wore a bigger race suit ! One thing learned 18 years ago was wear kneepads for insides of knees ! Won my 1st race with a slow kart ! Let faster kart by so he could he could slow down the others . 4rh to 1st on last turn of last lap!! I expected chaos and that's what happened !!
How were you allowed a camera? Last time I tried they were really against it.
Initially they did not allow me to record either. But I spoke to the manger and explained I wanted to do some filming for my channel. They agreed to let me film after that.
Is a slower petrol go kart the same thing for when it comes to getting the fastest lap?
This experiment was specific to this track surface. I'd have to try it out on petrol kart and let you know 😆

The key to taking a late apex is a sharp late turn in. Normally you would do this on a Hairpin Turn. You’ll find this short useful:
