Which is strange because he literally said he wanted to beat up the owner for being so horrible with the team prior to that event. Not quite sure what he expected.

    Mr. Oakley was perhaps one of the more underappreciated NBA stars. People think of brute force, and there was that. But Charles was also a highly intelligent ball player who did clutch things in his prime.

    I'm 47. I remember Byron Allen late night comedy shows when I was in my teens. I'm proud of him. He bought the Weather Channel (one of my favorite channels) and I'm super proud of him because he stayed around and stayed positive. Definitely inspirational

    I was a lifetime Knicks fan, haven't watched a game in 20 years. I saw the Oakley incident and was sick...Charles, you could have knocked everyone of them out and would have had my blessing. Dolan and his goon squad were wrong and they should have been sued and had to pay a large sum for what happened.

And if you have seen the video, the first instigator was scared to death and looking for backup immediately. I don't assess a situation without entertaining all variables, their security never had a chance if Oak decided he wasn't going along with the situation. Perhaps you should take your own advice and keep from assuming. Enjoy your day...

    If I owned a business and an ex-employee walked in and started yelling and cursing at me, I'd have my staff remove him also. And if necessary I'd call the cops to do it. Dolan is the worst owner in the NBA. But that doesn't exonerate Oakley. This incident has two sides to it, not one side - which is all Rich Eisen presents. This is poor journalism.

      They would have won a couple of NBA titles if it wasn't for Jordan. The two times he retired in the 90s, the Knicks made the finals in 94 and 99. But ran into prime Hakeem in 94, and the twin towers of Robinson and Duncan in 99.

True they didn't win the title but they had an identity, a culture, fantastic rivalries, made it to at least the 2nd round most years and the finals twice, and had teams that fans could root for with pride.       BS - Oakley didn't stick up for Patrick back in the day. Ewing was treated like garbage by everyone. He has never gotten his due. That is why he often appeared surly in some interviews.     You can tell by the way Oak is telling the story that he’s leaving out a lot of important details. I loved Oak as a player, but he’s leading me to believe he did something that would warrant him being told to leave the building.

    To be honest, this is the difference between Rich and DP. DP would have asked the questions like "were you drunk", "at any point, did you swing or use any force" etc even though everybody knows the answer. I love Oak but if you don't ask those obvious questions to completely clear the air and set the record & story straight, it looks like such a biased interview (even though it is not because that's not Rich's style. A bit disappointed by my man
