We Are Building a New Trail in Norco / 1st Feature is a 8 foot Boulder Drop / 4/1/24

- We got a ton of rain for 3 days so most places were too wet to ride. We decided to go to Norco because we knew it wouldnt be muddy and we also wanted to start the new trail we been talking about. The plan is to make a jumpline with using as much of the natural boulders as features. The first feature we wanted to build was a drop off that huge boulder we saw a few weeks ago. The 2nd feature we wanted to build was a big road gap but we werent able to get to it. We decided to clean up Candy instead. The trail had big ruts running all down the trail so we decided to fill in all the ruts and add in some water bars. The trail work took over 4 hours which was much longer than we anticipated, unfortunately for Kasey and Matt they had to take off by 1pm so they didnt get to ride. After the trail work we hit Candy and Wiley.
We wanted to start the trail and was hoping we get more people to help finish the trail before the dirt gets too dry in summer. If you are local and want to help out hit me up on Instagram @t_wrex_mtb.
I am one of the few guys that has been maintaining all these trails on Forget me not Hill and you have my blessing lol. I appreciate B-lines for those of us newer riders. I have noticed the work others have put in to help with water and rider damage. Much love, Ride on 🤙

Nice work out there gentleman! I was just at Norco for the first time and heard about this new drop but didn’t get to see it in person. I’ll have to go back and check it out. Sick riding😁🤘

Yah I’ve been reworking my local trails to fix the rain damage. Everyone that rides should put some time in on maintenance.
It would be great but I think some people want to help but don't have tools, don't know what to do or don't want to get in trouble.

@@TommyHuynh there has been a few generations of trail builders out here, the old school guys back in the early 2000s and a couple of local guys that are out there maintaining Candy and Wyle. Some other local guys out there building some rad stuff over at Two Bit & Angry Pigeon as well. Bottom line, this place is a pretty rad place to ride bikes!
Good job Tommy. Awesome you included the trail work, We finished a new one down here a couple weeks ago, still haven’t done one of the gaps on it, but feels awesome riding stuff you helped make.
The latest rains totally trashed some of our favorite stuff, lots of work to be done.
💯 people keep telling me I should include clips of our trail work so it motivates others at their local trails. Some places is not good to record but here no body gives tickets

There’s only a hand full of guys that work up here maybe.. I’ve never seen this much traffic around here …I’m thankful these guys came up here and worked .. but hope my local trail don’t get shut down if any mtb guys piss off the horse riders or the nabors … and the dirt drys supper quick out here
