Snow Summit Bike Park Opening Weekend / June 10, 2024

- We headed up to Snow Summit for opening weekend. I didn't want to go opening day because the lines are normally way too long. I headed up on Monday and it was nice and empty. I was kinda disappointed with the trail conditions. They were kinda beat up for being opening weekend. The conditions don't normally get this beat up until August. Miracle Mile was pretty beat up but Party Wave and Westridge were in much better shape.
All in all I had a blast, always good to get to the top of the mountain on a chair lift. It was my first time taking the V10 and it really ate up a ton of the break bumps. It is over kill for Snow Summit but it definitely made it more fun. Unfortunately Kyle had a pretty bad crash on the 3rd or 4th lap and it ended his day. He got a pretty bad concussion and banged up his shoulder. Conner also crashed on the same run but his crash wasn't as bad so he was able to ride out the rest of the day. We planned to hit 10 Ply on the last run but we got stuck on the lift for over 20 min so we decided to head home to beat traffic.
Nice video. Glad you are alright after your recent epic crash. I went to Summit June 28th and it was in poor condition. The trails felt more like last month of the season than first month. I doubt I'll go back this season.

As I’m watching this video rehabbing 21 days post collarbone break. I should get first laps up there in 2 more weeks 😜 I’ll be a blue trail rippa 😜🤣🤣 until after Whistler trip with the SSB crew July 10th.
If I’m healthy after that. I’ll finish park season full gas. Again 🤞🙏🤣👊
@MTBraging...did you get surgery? I'm 4 weeks post surgery and nowhere near riding condition.
No surgery. Out of sling by day 11. Was rehabbing , zero weight by day 6. I’ve got 85% movement . Road 16 miles this weekend ( non trail) .

I was going every year til the plan-demic. After that I was planning to go but there was a fire way up North but they decided to close all resorts down early. Then the last 2 years there wasn't much of a season because the snow never melted and there was only 1/2 the park open for mountain biking
Gotchu. It’s prolly the best time to go now. Mammoth’s ski season just ended a month ago and they are opening this weekend.
Scratch that they actually got 14 trails open at the moment.
