no way! Blink is great but 2003 was a golden year in music... Death Cab released Transatlanticism, Muse released Absolution, Strokes released Room on Fire, Postal Service, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.. the list goes on and on..
Sucks he had drug addiction problems then. He was on the verge of becoming a superstar. He’s song writing and performances were amazing. Perfect All + cure mix.
@@tristanrollet1511 IMO its their masterpiece. It came out on my 21st bday, at the time I felt like I was growing up from my crazier partying days, getting over a relationship and the more mature sounding untitled album just hit at that right time in my life. If I had to choose a Mt. Rushmore of blink albums I'd put Untitled there with Dude Ranch, Enema & TOYPAJ. Although Neighborhoods really grew on me through the years. Cant say the same about either California or Nine. Both were way too poppy & cheesy, although "No Heart to Speak of" was the best song from the Skiba era.
Part of the reason the song is so successful was bc they accidentally wrote it out Mark’s voice range and so u get that raspy strained sound on the chorus in the song. That’s why in live performances Tom sings the chorus which is a shame bc I really like how it sounds on record. The rare blink song that better on the record
mark delaying the fuck to get it past the censor always gets me
They were the best band in the world in 2003
*1992-2005, they were at their best
Edit: I added 1992 and 1993 to include their entire original run
@@colinmiller8824 05 they were broken up. So it would be 94-04
100% I remember this being the case

This period was when Tom looked the coolest.

but notice that his voice was already changing then.. sad.
Haha when Tom looked rad
emo phase
@@ranshootcbc9953took the words right outa my vocaliser!
i like how mark delayed the "fucked her" so the censor missed it haha so AWESOMEEEE
I don't understand how they missed it, cuz I'm pretty sure there's a delay to when it's broadcasted to live so they can sensor things
He said "that he fucked her" adding a word made the sensor miss.@@TEM4TEM
@@TEM4TEMin the original song the lyrics are just “he Fucked her” Mark added the word “that” so the timing of the sensor is off
20 years ago. Damn.
Man, how great they sound back then
Sin duda alguna, la época dorada de los 182. Inolvidable!
God that Gibson paired with the Mesa amps sounds so much better...
Whatever amps Tom uses now sound atrocious.
Flying V pretty sure he uses vox. I agree they sound thin and weak. That Mesa and Marshall combo he used sounded so much beefier
BenSkiv98 for sure
Flying V not to say it sounds better than the fenders, but damn it sounds so much heavier than what he runs now.
Couldn’t agree more. This is a great blink 182 sound. Love how he has the Gibson hanging low down as well. It’s all perfect.
World’s fastest performance of dammit haha damn this is fast
They hated each other during this time. So they rushed their performances to get off the stage as fast as possible
In the Untitled era every song was played faster.
You should see their last show in 2004. Dammit is the last song they play and it’s at supersonic speed lol
@@TreverHaplesstom and travis was playing this fast at box car racer
fuck i love this tom!!!
What a time to be alive
This mix is such a mess. The whole thing is unhinged. It’s fucking glorious.
epic, so much passion
Think about how awesome it was to be at that concert :O And just to walk by down on the street :D
I remember watching this. 7 days later their best record of all-time would drop (also on my birthday).
there’s zero chance untitled album is their best. And I like that a lot but just no way

this reminds me of GH world tour! at the end of the game!
I was just thinking about that!!
Also- hello from the future lmao
Censor hit a little to early
Why did Mark stop the song before Tom and Travis were finished? He signed the band’s name in graffiti on the camera haha that’s why
The person in charge or censoring was probably fired after this
Damn this was 20 years ago.
Time flies
Why does this song sound deeper than usual?
because of the giant mesa boogie amps behind tom, instead of a single awful vox AC30 that he started to play in 2005
2:40 Fail !!
Jesus, Tom, what is that hair?!
@blink182chile joajoaoja He threw a lot of spray
He didn't though....

It's alright to tell me
What you think about me
I won't try to argue
Or hold it against you
I know that your leavin
You must have your reasons
The season is callin
Your pictures are fallin down
The steps that I retrace
The sad look on your face
The timing, and structure
Did you hear that he fucked her?
A day late, a buck short
I'm writing the report
On losing, and failing
When I move, I'm flailing now
And it's happened once again
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
Sticks to the masterplan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well I guess this is growing up
Well I guess this is growing up
And maybe I'll see you
At a movie, sneak preview
You'll show up, and walk by
On the arm of that guy
And I'll smile, and you'll wave
We'll pretend it's ok
The charade, it won't last
When he's gone I won't come back
And it's happened once again
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
Sticks to the masterplan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well I guess this is growing up
Well I guess this is growing up
Well I guess this is growing up
Well I guess this is growing up
Well I guess this is growing up
Well I guess this is growing up
