  • Logging some hours on the New Pond Prowler. This is a great 2 man boat, super sturdy, plenty of room for two 200 pound plus adults a lot of leg room and space for gear. We founds some giants this day, over 30 pounds on our five best fish. This boat is a great alternative to a Kayak not to mention a lot less expensive than a Kayak these days.

    Great little rig, I bought one back in 2000 after 20 years of dragging it around the bottom plastic will start to wear. Plastic welder will fix it. I'd suggest going with a 70lb thrust Minkota it'll last you a long time worth every penny. 👍🏼🇺🇸

      Thanks Man. 20 yrs is pretty impressive. I thinking you got your money's worth out of her. The Minn Kota I have on it now is the first one I ever bought, still running strong.

      @@Bassbruiser1971 I still have the original 30lb Minkota and it works, the 70lb is where it's at, especially fishing windy conditions. Invest in some paddles you never know you'll need them.

    I notice that the front of my pond prowler flexes because of the weight of the trolling motor is that why u put a piece of wood where u mounted the trolling motor? Will that help with the flexing ?

    • @Bassbruiser1971
      @Bassbruiser1971  Před rokem

      Exactly. Makes it a little more sturdy, less flex. Cut a piece of privacy fence board, fits good. 👍

    • @Bassbruiser1971
      @Bassbruiser1971  Před 5 měsíci +1

      @tblakethompson4488 No idea about mph. Puts out a decent wake with 2 people. Scoots across a size small lake in 5 mins, maybe twice as fast as a trolling motor on high.

  • @ronbennettoutdoorswildlife1514

    How stable? How easy is it to tip over?

    • @Bassbruiser1971
      @Bassbruiser1971  Před rokem +1

      Super stable, two 200 plus pound guys stading up zero issues. Only 1 negative is rod storage, need to make a modification, rods dont fit great on the side rails.
