Listening to an interview with Billy Gibbons recently and he was telling the story of swapping guitars with BB King. BB wanted to do this on stage. BB couldn't believe how heavy Billy's string gauge was. He was saying BB King ran 7's. BB wanted to know why Billy wanted to work so hard with heavy gauge. So I believe Billy may have dropped the gauge of his strings after this? Could be wrong. It was on Daryl’s House (Daryl Hall) where they jam and chat. I remember starting on 8's for years and loved them. I now run 10's across the board acoustic and electric. Great interview Steve. I Really enjoyed it. Well above my pay grade and skill level but still love listening to these types of interviews. 😂
