I’m sure he must already know the “missing link” he talks about between “understanding” and “consciousness” - that part which somehow makes Understanding “Non Computational” as Sir Rojer puts it - and boy he is so cute! 😍

Penrose is an acknowledged scientist, a physicist in particular. He thus answered, or attempted to answer, the seemingly abstract questions to his best scientific ability. He even frackly alluded to his inability to correctly identify consciousness.
Consciousness, in the context of this interview, is one of the TWO fundamental axioms of nature, the other being Existence. Consciousness is a defining factor of life. Considering Existence as that which exists, Consciousness is that which recognizes Existence, including it's own existence.
Being a factor of life, consciousness manifests itself within the constraints of the genus of life it belongs to. A plant is conscious of basic cycles of seasons. Animals are conscious of instincts of survival. Humans are conscious of the need to CHOOSE a course of life. Humans can't escape this choice, and any attempt would only result in a default taking over, and from then on bump from one consequence to another, until he or she consciously intervenes with an assessment and a conscious choice.
It is this process of choice that has evolved into the various branches of knowledge, which we call mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, cosmology, psychology, ... Justice, satisfaction, ... Politics, religion, ... PHILOSOPHY.

Meeting him at a conference was something that I will remember forever.
Me: I really like your book.
    Roger: Which book?
    Me: Fashion, faith and fantasy.
Roger: What do you like about it?
Me: A lot of things, but I appreciate your insights of how nature works, and pointing out the fashionable ideas and consider it with gentle argumentation meanwhile proving some mainstream science is being led in the wrong direction. I wonder if due to the radical nature of your ideas, it must have been difficult for you to defend your position. Did you get a lot of criticism from the mainstream?
Roger: Oh, you should read the Emperor's New Mind, its where I got much more criticism...
So i read it... Reading Roger's books is time well spent. He makes you feel you entertained meanwhile your brain is courageously coping with going through not easy to understand contents. It does it in such way your curiosity is being fully activated, and feeling of actually find the principles yourself never disappears.
On top of being bright, his content delivery is exceptional. Highly recommend to all the physics students, and people in various life science industries.

Will, and the freedom of will are two very different things. Will is the focus (the force) of attention. Free Will, or what is often called volition, FOLLOWS the exercise of will/coherence through the "turning toward"/resonance with a particular potentiality. This also aligns with DISCRIMINATION.

The first, almost philosophical, question to answer is: "why is matter essentially the same throughout the universe?"
Most likely, every atomic (that is indivisible) particle, string or force IS the same particle string or force created over and over in a time-reversing instant that consequently must recreate itself endlessly, a bit like an ultra short cosmological "Groundhog Day"
Thus, the earliest accretion grew and grew from the same spot, but without the ability to accomodate the older accretion, which were pushed further out, but with the tension or "need" to return to the creation point they were continually be pushed away from. Hence gravity is that "all encompassing" desire to return, or perhaps as if by an elastic band, to return to the origin. Eventually, the jostling became so great that the bands tore propelling matter outward. Initially weakly, but with every retraction caused by this philosophical gravity, and while the original "Groundhog Day" wasc adding more and more matter, the accretion became ever more "angry" and energy laden, necessitating bigger expansion that all recollspsed. Only the last (our univers expansion) had enough matter and energy (in fact a great Surfeit of it to be able to push matter beyond its ability to sensibly return to its origin. This explains the relatively "flat" universe with that extra speeding up on the distant edges.

Strange that Penrose never once mentioned QC and doesn't seem to endorse Maldacena's conjecture that the whole universe is a QC function. However, he does mention Schrodinger's unitary evolution of his wave function and as a mathematician doesn't mention the non- existent algorithm, but does admits QM is incomplete. Life and consciousness, soul and faith is a QC function.

I think mathematically, " spin" in the magnetic monopole context is not computational. Spin is a factoring of the scchrodinger wave equation not computable. No points in the magnetic field like electronic idea equating points = electrons. Thus the magnetic field lines , lacking a point isnt regular computation. in universe main power is conciousness of unconciousness
knowledge captived by conciousness of conciousness is very limited in universe
because universe is dominated and fonctioned by the language of conciousness of unconciousness that conciousness of conciousness is yet doesnt know this language
the solution is to invent the physics of metaphysics

God / consciousness responsible for all reality; through free will from consciousness / God, person can become responsible; though person not responsible instead of God. If that is the case, evil results from neglecting or omitting God responsibility, through human leadership or other ways, and person gets free will from God responsibility and in this way can act responsibly. God responsibility gives instruction, while free will from God responsibility provides support and help
