How to Make a Pallet Planter

Using an upcycled pallet, Katie Rushworth shows you how to make a simple and effective pallet planter, perfect for small plants like hellebore, euonymus, muehlenbeckia, heather and heuchera.
The planter can be wall mounted or kept at floor level. Using weed membrane filled with multipurpose compost you can easily transform an old pallet into a colourful garden planter.

Is there any wood underneath to support or just the membrane?

Um.. they're great for growing flowers, but for any food consumption, pallets must be heat treated and chemical free as st not have harmful pesticides that can leach into the roots.

nothing the membrane will be whats holding in the plants so i would say lots of staples

Any tidy water based wood stain or similar. Just make sure it's cured before any plants are put in.

She mentions a few in her video description: Hellebore, Heather, Euonymous, Heuchera, Muehlenbeckia, Cyclamen. Mini varieties. Take a screenshot to the nursery. She said this is in shade but I don't agree with some of those plant choices for shade. Suggest you watch how she played with her colors and textures and buy for your location and sun.
