- Ultravox performing at Live Aid in front of 72,000 people in Wembley Stadium, London on the 13th July, 1985. The event was organised by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine disaster. Broadcast across the world via one of the largest satellite link-ups of all time, the concerts were seen by around 40% of the global population.

Incredibly under rated vocalist.
Midge's voice was off the charts that day, the stadium arena isn't exactly suited for Ultravox, like it is for U2 and Queen, but damn listen to Midge, he made Ultravox's set great with that amazing voice.
The beauty of this entire concert and its effort makes me cry.
None of today's "music" could ever make me cry.
Younger generations will never clue in - and I feel sorry for them all.......................

Midge has always had an amazing set of pipes on him - seen him live many many times and also in a couple of weeks time at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate his 70th!

Midge's voice echoing is so awesome. This performance is just so awesome. So much better than the ones from the tv broadcasts no offense but that is my opinion.

Warren Cann is a great drummer. Those fills he plays (in all Ultravox songs) are like bullets and a big part of the songs for me.

I was in Columbus GA. USA, but Midge and Ultravox were my best memory of Live Aid.
Pauvre France. La télévision française n'as pas diffusée le set d'ultravox. J'ai du attendre plus de dix ans avant de le voir en vidéo. Midge ure est un chanteur et musicien avec un incroyable talent. !! Je l'ai rencontré personnellement. Il est d'une très grande gentillesse.
