First test after repairs. I rebuilt the fuel pump, cleaned the carb, and installed a new impeller. Looks to be a low hour motor. First run in 20+ years.
just got a 67 johnson 9.5 $200 i repainted the cowl white and getting new johnson decals in dark green to match the motor ,,gonna look sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet ,it is not a real heavy motor i was surprised
I have the same motor. Mine idles fine but when I give full throttle in gear it wants to bog down. Any idea what that may be? Also I just put a brand new fuel pump on it thinking that would fix it but im having the same problem..... Thanks..

Id check the point gap first. Also check the carb for blockage on the high speed jet.

Not off the top of my head I don't. I would try the AOMCI club.
