Back in 2013 I had a 58 everude.that I swapped fuel pump too a single line
But I was working 12 hours I didn't get running right.. now going to T MIKE SCHOOL!! I am working on a ruff 25 johnson now 69. It run but it got me talking French. Keep it coming I'm in north La.
I'm 73 and used old motors in the 1960's. Had fun.

Hey Mike, another great resto! Your fuel pump upgrade is the best thing that’s happened to these great old motors. With 19mph, what props are you using to obtain that speed? I recently broke my stock prop and can’t seem to find a proper replacement. Thanks!
Once you do that , are you able to go back to the original pump after ?

Mike, what is the correct over the counter matching paint for a 1966 Evinrude 5 HP? My turtle back is in such excellent original condition I am not going to paint it or get new decals. I do want to repaint the rest which is all the same original color. Cost not being an issue, what two stoke oil do you recommend for my engine (I prefer low smoke if it goes with good lubrication)

Great channel! The amount of water coming out the motor when it was in the barrel,my Motor pees our like that one did.Im wondering if my impeller needs to be replaced?The water is never hot,just warm to the touch.Thanks is advance..people have learned a lot from you.keep the videos coming!
Your impeller should be changed every 2 years. Good luck
I have one T-Mike, same year, love it, but it seems to consume an awful lot of fuel for it's size. I switched to my 1971 Johnson 4hp instead, slow, sips gas.
