Zack reminded penny of Leonard cause they were the two best guys she ever dated. While completely different physically and intellectually they were genuinely nice and respectful people
1:06 Cuoco struggled continuously for atleast 5 seconds to control her laughter. 2:19 Penny's kinda proud smirk because the video reminded her of how far they have come. For a couple in a show that was entirely based on offensive jokes, Leonard and Penny were a very sweet couple. We see them break up once and a lot more jokes about their breakup exists in the show, but i don't think any viewer ever doubted that they wouldn't be endgame.
Sometimes, the guys could've been nicer to Zack, I think. He might not have been as smart as them, but he was kind dude, unlike that Musclehead Penny dated.
I absolutely love how this show never made a big deal out of Penny's drinking "problem". Other shows (sitcoms or not) at some point would totally make this a super serious issue, send her to rehab and then back as a better person🙄Penny loves to drink and drinks often but she's not an alcoholic. There's a HUGE difference. I think TBBT is one of the few TV shows/movies to recognize the difference.
They actually adress that a lot in the series. Penny just doesn't care and continues to do so. But yeah I don't remember a point where they just made an episode about her drinking problem
I think she's supposed to be the opposite of a nerd so the writers making her a "cool girl" girl who drinks is supposed to be some cool girl character trait apparently
She is not an alcoholic but she does drink *too much* to the point where it is unhealthy. There is a moment where Sheldon says that he is genuinely concerned for her liver. And in this episode they say Penny drank so much that she almost asphyxiated.

Well to be fair 😂 Leonard dated a girl, not just hot, but also educated and rich. Penny pitied herself because of Priya. I love Penny, but she kind of deserved that karma.
Penny could have done better then Leonard . I sure if she looked like Amy,or wasn’t a hot blonde,he wouldn’t even look at her. Penny dated Zack,who wasn’t rich ,or as smsrt as Lenny ,but her let her who she was,and didn’t pressure her,into something more she wasn’t ready for. He was too impatient,and got into a hissy fit,when she didn’t say I love you,after coitus .
