Absolutely. Toxic friendships are a problem that should be addressed more often. They can be destructive, even without any malicious intent on anyone's part.

Actually having a close friend who constantly mocks ,ridicules and calls it's jokes will actually destroy someone's confidence. Worst part is most people realise when damage is done . And it takes lots of courage to speak up to such friend cause u r constantly afraid of being made fun of. Also there is no way for person suffering to point this out to friend in a polite way. It will come out in burst. Speaking from personal experience. Worst is most times that friend will not accept it if others have not pointed it out before.

Basically, she is desperately trying to keep up, as to fit in with the group. She puts the guys down to feel recognized and valued. And she quickly draws the victim card, as she is taking it more personal when the tables change because she already feels less valued.

Leonard is a terrible boyfriend, he allowed Howard to,make sexual advances to penny, And when penny stuck up for herself Leonard made her feel bad,so she had to apologize to Howard. Raj is a terrible friend,he mocked Leonard about sleeping with penny ,he knows how he feels about her. Raj,is a terrible friend,he was hoping Bernadette would dump Howard so he will have a shot at her. People say,sheldon is the worse,but he just points out the faults ,and questions when they do something he doesn’t get. He was never a sex freak,he never boasted or tried to have sexual with his friend’s girlfriend,unlike raj . Sheldon,may not be perfect ,and I would trust him,and his loyalty over all the other dirt bags.
This storyline was kind dumb to me... I guess I can somewhat understand both sides of this, because I've had friends expressing these same things to me. Thankfully, we were able to talk things out .... unlike these two. They could've made up at any point in time and had whatever talk they needed to have.... Instead they spent the following episode going tit for tat with each other.... Raj tries fw Howard by giving away his ticket to see the worst movie in the Star Wars series, which Howard kinda hust shrugged off.... but Raj turns around and has the audacity to be upset with Howard decides to not invite him to his daughter's bday party... when HE'S the one that decided to cut Howard out of his life.... What sense does that even make? Another reason why it makes no sense is the timing of it. This was pretty much the second to last season of the series, and by this point Howard and Raj had been friends are over a decade, so by that time one would think that Raj know his friend's personality and know that Howard's jokes were done out of love and friendship. There's much more to therapy than that. And many people have issues that inhibit them from either being a good friend or choosing good friends. That's one of the many things therapy can help a person to change about themselves. Raj the character suffered for many years when he could have gotten help. The same is true for many people in real life.
