Just FYI for people: State farm has a policy specifically for vinyl records. VERY cheap too!!! After what our buddy Steve Carlson just had to go through we all need to get on that. Some great pieces. Love that Herbie and Grant! Amazing!!!
Wow. I got that Tauhid album in a free stack a few years ago. Packaging was a mess but the record was lovely. Got me into more cosmic music. I have my copy of Black Saint/Sinner Lady in the same shelf of the same table as you too. Some coincidences with this one! Great video! Thank you!
Greg, thanks for showing what is valuable. I am in the process of Discogging (new verb?) my collection. It is interesting to see what things might be worth, and learning lot of minutiae. - Chris
Hi Greg, I have the other 2 Evans on Resonance, superb-sounding records. One of the most valuable records I have is that Rollins too, though mine is the UK version of that release, that I scored in a book shop a long time back.
Greg awesome most valuable jazz records I still hunt hard for that OG or second press Jim Hall & Bill Evans Undercurrent I pass on the Mofi because the pressing I heard the isn’t accurate the OG is the way to go you have a beautiful copy. Love that Pat Metheny & Charlie Haden I was lucky to find a copy great album. Those Music Matters shot up in price quick The pressing are pretty good . Very nice collection Greg take care. Congratulations on these records! Yes, your Sidewinder copy is mono, you can see the catalogue number 4157. Stereo copies start with an 8. (84157) Oh how I wish there would be similar goodwill stores near my place!
How do you manage to get so much primo stuff in thrift shops? I've been looking at vinyl in UK charity shops for 30 years and only ever found junk. Best thing I got was Lee Morgan, Sidewinder on cassette for 50p.
Some great stuff. I am jealous of your ability to find so many great deals! Excellent work.
Now a days you gotta have great timing to find records in thrift stores. There are a lot of buyer flippers in my area. Great video!
Haven’t really flipped yet. As a hoarder I find it hard to let go!
Awesome collection! Great video
Thank you for sharing
Have a wonderful one

Thanks for keeping us all entertained through lockdown Greg!
Great video, love flicking through your albums - never find albums like that in UK goodwill stores...
Thanks for the details.

Nice! I’m really getting into the spacey side myself now. Thanks for watching.

I've recently found the Sonny Rollins record in my dad's garage, it's been collecting dust for the past decades
Nice! Which one?

I need to go digging with you. Out standing job
Wow that Grant Green
Awesome find
Nice jazz records. Interesting how some jazz records have increased in value so much. There is a jazz renaissance

Apparently my most valuable record is a promo copy of Supertramp’s Breakfast in America.
I would die if I found Waltz For Debby in a thrift store
Please don’t die! One scratch but not bad. Found a $200 classical record at same store yesterday. Video going up now. Thanks!
My most collectible jazz record is probley Bill Justis- Cloud 9 on Phillips. If you can call that jazz lol
Thriftstores in my country check discogs. No way to get a good deal anymore.
Sorry to hear that! Discogs is not always the best source.
You need to read up on lee morgan sidewinder is not as much r&b as it is jazz you should probably listen to the record I recommend it
MEDIAN is NOT THE MIDDLE PRICE
Its the median.

Try more caffeine if you are sleepy. Or some Brotzmann.
@@VinylRundown Yeah - Peter Brötzmann was my neighbour at the Siegesstrasse when I was making jazz in Wuppertal with Peter Kowald !
