    Exactly the review I was looking for. Wasn’t interested in cheap or invasive (drilling) mods. Wanted something for a taller (6’1”) person and wanted mesh. The #1 hit the spot! Thanks!

    I have the Atlas pad, (I don't believe the suspension was out at the time of purchase) and I just ordered the suspension. Can't wait to try it out!

      FYI you can buy a suspension upgrade from Atlas if you have the older version!

    Bought an Atlas Suspension for my Aeron and it truly completes the chair. Looks and feels like an original HM part.
    International shipping was a breeze and Andrew from Atlas has been an awesome contact. Highly recommend the Atlas folks.
    Great list once again, BTOD. Thanks! :)

    Thanks for the review. I saw this after purchasing the Engineered Now H4. I ended up returning it because the horizontal movement would not lock in place. It turns out, from this video and reviews on Amazon, I'm not the only one having this issue. BTW, I since this video was posted Atlas and Engineered have increased their prices to $179.99

    PSA using any headrest besides the Atlas will void your Herman Miller warranty. This is because of the way most headrests attach to the frame, they create a pressure point that can snap the frame of your chair.

    • @babixillo
      @babixillo Před 2 lety +2

      i dont think any of these headrest can snap aeron frame, even if the user banging their head to the headrest, just isnt enough force to cause that. if anything would break it would be the headrest first, not the chair frame, that thing is thick and solid. what atlas meant on their page on warranty stuff i think refers to screw type headrest that require drilling hole on the frame. but i could be wrong, let me know if there are real cases of snapped aeron frame

    • @Deemzdaddy
      @Deemzdaddy Před 2 lety +1

      @@babixillo HM voids the warranty because the most common repair for aeron chairs is a snapped frame at the top of the back area due to using poor aftermarket headrests. Atlas is the only headrest that doesn't void the warranty because HM thoroughly evaluated Atlas headrests and determined that if the Atlas is installed correctly, a snapped component will not void the warranty.

    Very accurate assessment of the H3 and H4 headrests. I had all the exact same thoughts and opinions on its pros and cons.

    I have been using your videos to help with my new chair purchase, and I find them really informative! I actually now own an aeron chair and love it! However, I would be interested in seeing more diverse body shapes in your videos, from short to tall, larger and smaller. As a petite 5 foot woman, it would be nice to get a different perspective. Thanks for the great information.

      Did you get the Size A? I'm looking and even though I'm 5'8" it still says I might be in the A window? Presumably for people with ickle legs! Do you love your Aeron? How is it for reclining. Sorry but it's a big purchase, would be good for 1st hand info :)

    Great review of the various headrest options. I had settled on the Atlas Suspension from a previous video you’d made but this seals the deal. I don’t even mind the long arm that extends down the back - I think it works aesthetically (obviously subjective).

    I've read Atlas headrest was designed by a former founder at Herman Miller, hence why it matches in materials and design

      They source the exact same mesh and plastics that Herman Miller uses for their chairs.

    Just seen youtube video of somebody with Aeron Suspension headrest, mesh has fallen apart, and fibres are very brittle, is this why only 90 day cover on upholstery. Does not seem to be the same quality as the Aeron mesh, lot of money to pay if the mesh falls apart after three months .

  • @Jafar-Sadik
    @Jafar-Sadik Před 9 měsíci

    But would the mesh in Atlas headrest last? I've seen some videos showing how it broke after 1 - 2 years of use.

    I'm 6'4 and trying to make a choice between #1 and #2. Which is more comfortable? Also #2 comes in fabric or leather. I know they have a new fabric now as well.

    I have an Aeron and a Mirra 1. Can you please tell me if there is any headrest available for the Mirra? I know for the Aeron, the Atlas suspension is a no brainer, but for the Mirra, I'm finding it almost impossible to get any headrest for it. Thanks so much and great reviews...keep it up.
