how do you know what you want the bottom half of the art to be? That's what I am running into.. IDK If I'm just not imagining anything or if I cant see the rest of it or what lol. Thanks for your great videos!
I sometimes look for landscape inspo or other work by the same artist. Usually I am just taking elements from the original art and recreating them at the bottom as a reference. I still struggle a lot with this though!
Does scratching the paint off with a toothpick damage the card at all? And i see you used a cotton swab at one point, was it dipped in anything (paint thinner, water etc.) or was it just a normal swab?
It could damage if the card is wet or press too hard, otherwise it’s a great way to remove small amounts of paint! I use the q tip to remove paint that is still a little wet (it just has a little water on it, otherwise just normal). In this case, I flicked some paint on the card to create snowflakes, and then cleaned up the borders with the q tip while the paint was wet.
