I was a teenager in the 80's, in 1985 I was 15 years old, and yes 80's was magic, you can feel the magic in the air, I can't explain the feeling. Cheers.
graduated 1984 it was a time that i can still feel.music was prolific more than i can process.you know how many greats were everywhere. it was so fun an not saturated, if you wanted to talk to a girl we had to give them your number or get their number and call them at home LOL that is if your brother and sister didn't use the phone all night LOL
Kevin Foster arent you rebellious. a lot of great songs yes, but so many really stupid horrible ones as well. along with the drum kits and cheesy synth sounds. that said, great songs like this certainly kick the crap out of stuff on the radio nowadays. mid to late 60's and 70's definitely ;) so much depth to that era.
The cheesy is a lot better than what passes for music these days. My son's, whom is 21 22 and 19 like what I grew up on more than this modern day crap. With the exception of a few bands.
She represented a generation that was youthful and lost. Reach for the sky if you fall try it again. The 80's kids were unique hits and misses, but what hits !
Omg !!! I’m a 90’s baby and I love this song 🎧 💕and many more 80’s 90’s classics 😭 like the beats just make me feel like I once there even though I wasn’t even born yet lol !!! It’s really weird .. when I listen to these songs I feel like I lived in that time it’s so odd how much those types a songs speak to my soul 🥺❤️ Year 2021
I also thought about this. Maybe it's because our parents already "filtered out" the really good stuff from their generation and we only have to enjoy it, while for present media one needs to search the good stuff on its own.
Pat, Joan, and Lee all gave the 80s something to listen to with some of the greatest lyrics and best videos of the decade. Along with Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen and Bryan Adams they were a reason to listen to music in the face of the British Romantics who relied on electronics as a substitute for great lyrics and marvelous voices. Long live the true Rock and Roll singers who are as timeless as their music. Nuff Said.
Tania Cortes born in 74 and growing up listening to this music was awesome, then into late 80s and the craziness of the 90s. I’m glad I grew up when I did.
Of all the tracks we did, THIS is my favorite bass line. Neil helped shape it and I played my white Ibanez with the E string tuned down to D. This track is just magic! Neil got his first Linn Drum Machine and created his first beat....this one...brought it in and we did Battlefield. You must understand how genius he really is AND the best brother you could ever have!
Sadly I wasn't born when this song was written and performed, nor was I alive when music used to be like this... Fortunately websites like CZcams are there to show me how awesome it was back then!
All of us have been there at one time or another! Kicked out for our bad choices and our never ending love for R..O..C..K..N..R..O..L..L!!! RIGHT ON PAT B.!! I'd still die for you!!!
Most people who have grown up with this spirited song are early fifties or older. Even though we are mature and possibly no longer rebellious, we are young.
Can't beat that 80's guitar sound..it's amazing reminds me of sunset, palm trees some where in california listening to this 80's sound! Music like this is a time machine......
I think she has an amazing voice...and I love this song.....Love is a battlefield and someone is always getting hurt......but it's like a drug, we keep looking for it again and again.....when we're high we don't think about the lows.....love this video too.....
I could only watch the first minute or so of this sad song. This is the reality of too many teens and older people out there too, who don't feel like they fit in with their family. I'm actually in my 40s, unemployed and not sure who the hell would hire me to do anything since I have a disability. It must have been difficult for Pat Benatar to act out this video, I don't think I could do it without just wanting to cry and take off from the set.
THIS WAS MUSIC YOU COULD LISTEN TO AND DANCE TO, UNLIKE THE TOTAL RUBBISH WE HAVE NOW, WHERE THE LESS CLOTHES YOU HAVE ON OR DEPENDENT ON WHO YOU ARE MAKES YOU SELL RECORDS, THE MUSIC DOSE,NT COUNT ANYMORE, THIS WAS REAL TALENT THAT TODAY,S PEOPLE (NOT MUSICIANS) CANNOT FOLLOW. THANKS PAT.
I was 17 yrs old and everything and the music world was changing with MTV, BET and VH1, Friday Night Videos, Night Tracks, etc. I miss the 80's, you could turn on the radio and hear nothing but good song after good song. Those days are long gone.
Pat, thank you for your musical contribution to society. I'm born in 1976 and have awsome childhood memories with your music. Your awsome style painted a road for many. Lucky the man by your side.
2006 Memories Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) brought me here oh also the Television Premier of 13 going on 30 movie in 2006 brought me here I was born in 1992 so I never lived the 80s which is very unfortunate. 80s Rocks
Go back to my era of music of the '60's-'70's when music was the most unique and great songs were created....Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues, Cat Stevens, Three Dog Night, Steppenwolf, Chicago, Bread, Gordon Lightfoot, ELO, Badfinger, The Beatles, George Harrison, The Hollies, Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan, Yes.....too many to mention. That era birthed the classics that have stood the test of time.
Do you know what was so great about the 80's singers (and 70's and 60's)? They all sounded different and unique from one another; and they all looked different from one another; and they all could sing distinctively. Today, you close your eyes, and you're bound to mistake one artist for the next
The vid cracks me up. The dance, that guy's face, that point at 5:00. I heard that people didn't like this video, and Pat herself wasn't totally happy with it, but some parts are just really funny to me. But the song is the main thing, and it's incredible. You are amazing, Pat!!
Pat can sing anything! She still can sing at age 60! A nice and great person too, you never hear anything negative about her at all. She needs to be in The Hall of Fame! Can you believe she has been eligible since late 2004 and not in yet! What the Hell is wrong with them people! lol
I noticed most people on here Said 13 going on 30 brought them here.(lol)well I must be old as hell because I been knew about this song.Just like I am a fan of Cyndi Lauper,George Michael,Janet Jackson,And alot of great artist.70's kid All the way baby
Funny, she's meant to be a rebellious teenager in this song about being "young", yet according to wikipedia she was 30 years old when this song came out!
It's so weird how back then the song was sometimes laughed and ridiculed, like alot of the songs were. I mean alot of them were. Now some 30 years later many things 80's are now classic. Just weird. BTW this song is amazing, have always loved it.
NOONE throws a shoulder like Pat B!! Takes me to good places! I LOVE the 80s!! I don't know who was playing that Pimp, but you could tell he could dance his ass off!
"OMG A BLUEY BACKPACK!" *ROLLS DOWN WINDOW* "WE ARE YOUNG, HEARTACHE TO HEARTACHE WE STAND, NO PROMISES NO DEMANDS, LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD!" - Me on some school mornings when I see the kid with a BLUEY BACKPACK!
OMG I've been listening to this since I was 13 years old and now that I'm 51 she still sings beautifully God bless her amen
Me too born in 1970. Great memories. Hit it’s peak in 1984. Best year in music. Period!
I’m 50 still listening 😆
It's a video. she doesn't actually start singing when you watch it.
I really wish I could live 1 day in the 80's!
1 day would never be enough!
The 80's were good, but the 70's were more fun.....BUT....I am a product of the 70's so I am partial......
Loved every minute of it. Class of 93 xoxoxo
You DEF would have too........
I was a teenager in the 80's, in 1985 I was 15 years old, and yes 80's was magic, you can feel the magic in the air, I can't explain the feeling.

She is far more talented than these so called artists today.
This is so retro even though the '80s never dies.
Missed it by a decade or so, but gotta say! 80's are the best!!!!!! Rock on everyone!!!!
I adore this era of music!!!!
The 80's defiantly had the BEST music.
Yes so much life
Kevin Foster arent you rebellious. a lot of great songs yes, but so many really stupid horrible ones as well. along with the drum kits and cheesy synth sounds. that said, great songs like this certainly kick the crap out of stuff on the radio nowadays.

Jesus, I remember when this video was on VH1 back in the 80s and wow does it represent fashion from that time period...
So underrated in my opinion, she made great tunes that stand the test of time!
Pat is such a badass
+bill collagan Cute long Island girl.
Loved her!
When music was still music. One of the 80's masterpieces!!
She represented a generation that was youthful and lost. Reach for the sky if you fall try it again. The 80's kids were unique hits and misses, but what hits !

Year 2021
Come on everybody listening to this in December 2019 admit you were blessed if you were dancing to this music what an era, thumbs up to the 80s
The 80s was obsessed with the 60s while my generation is obsessed with 80s i guess every generation is obsessed with their parents generation.
Which is weird because teenagers and young adults are well known for not agreeing with their parents, or not liking their parents' culture.
While the kids in the 2030's will be obsessed with songs like "Anaconda" :D
TechNOGeek Reviews Thats real shit! And this coming from a 30 year ole male
I also thought about this. Maybe it's because our parents already "filtered out" the really good stuff from their generation and we only have to enjoy it, while for present media one needs to search the good stuff on its own.
@@EmmaTheBurnoutGirlANDCPBTCP anaconda is a good song though "MY ANACONDA DON'T, MY ANACONDA DON'T WANT NONE UNLESS YOU GOT BUNS, HUN"
This is the eightiest of eightys videos ever! I LOVE Pat! I'm a member of her fan club and have seen her 12 times.

+Wayne Kushnier I would also like to add Stevie Nicks to your list of women and Tom Petty to your list of men. :-)
imagine being born in the 70s that way you can experience all 80s as a teen :’)
Tania Cortes born in 74 and growing up listening to this music was awesome, then into late 80s and the craziness of the 90s. I’m glad I grew up when I did.
I had forgotten that small touch of sorrow that was always in Pat's voice. Damn, that girl could sing!
One of the best concerts i ever went to back in 1984 was pat benetar

Pat Benatar is my favorite rock star love crush from the 80s!!! Why she isn't in the R&R Hall of Fame, is a mystery....
Pat Benatar MUST be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame or there is no justice in this world. She is the QUEEN.
Can't beat that 80's guitar sound..it's amazing reminds me of sunset, palm trees some where in california listening to this 80's sound! Music like this is a time machine......

Estas baladas son relajantes para el espíritu
Hay temas gue eran fantásticos los e buscado pero no los encuentro grasias
Pat Benatar has been such a classy lady for so many years , that, even in a video from so long ago,, there is a sense of credibility to what she says.
It was nice of Pat Benatar to show me how the streets really work when an adult woman gets kicked out of her dad's home. Touching and Sentimental. 😢
Wow! So many memories listening to this great song. Pat Benatar is amazing :)
Meed I say more, it's is Pat all we need to know :) Legendary performance.

Funny, she's meant to be a rebellious teenager in this song about being "young", yet according to wikipedia she was 30 years old when this song came out!
So. She still looked like a teen so what diff did it really make?
Yep
Agreed, that has bugged me for years! ha! Her dad looks about 5 years older and he has an exceptionally curvy bum for a man.
30 is young
I love This song , But She is To old To play a teenager , She is like 32 lol
