I got the rough country 4 “ lift however once you replace the regular factory ball joints which are going to fit like a curve. Get ready to dish out another $280 for the rough country ball joints which are heavy duty and will fit flat onto the joints instead of curves. Ok sorry 😐 I know it sounds confusing. But once you put the kit on a Mechanic will tell you the story, I am not a mechanic so it’s hard for me to explain it well. But you will have a serious smooth ride.

@@josephanderson8282 lol, I searched reviews and forums for like 2 weeks straight on which tires to buy, and the ones you're getting are in the top 3 for sure. How did you like the Coopers? I was going to get them but I ended up chancing it and went with the Goodyear UltraTerrain (a Discount Tire exclusive). I'm in Arizona, so I was looking for something good in the desert and also in snow and ice for when we go skiing. My brother swears by the Hankook ATm, and the Coopers have an excellent history with a great mileage warranty. The UltraTerrain has only been out a couple years and the sidewalls aren't as tough as some of the others, but I'm on the street 98% of the time, they're super quiet and smooth riding and have the 3 peak snow rating, so... IDK, I hope they fare well!

@@josephanderson8282 and as for your truck being a daily driver, will you go with a leveling, or a lift? Everything cost me around $600 for parts, and I installed it myself, including upper control arms. I was intimidated at first, but now after having done it, it's fairly simple. And I've got way better travel and function in the front suspension as opposed to preloading the stock springs. It's totally worth it, and I can still fit in most parking garages, even with 1" taller tires.

BDS, CST or Zone. I have an adjustable CST kit on my 14' GMC 2500 Z71. The kit is set to 4 inches leveled with 35's x 12.5's and the truck is heavily modified for overlanding and has crawled through some pretty rough trails that would give a factory 4x4 a run for its money. I have never had an issue with a CST part or a component affected by a CST part. If you are planning to be a mall crawler with 22's that get waxed every week and never sees actually off road then go with some garbage kit from RC or Fabtech. If plan on building a long term overlander or trail truck that you want to last, get a quality kit from a company that has done a fair amount of R&D into the areas of compatibility with factory components and longevity, such as BDS, CST or Zone.

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 Tradesman (5.7) with 35's. It rubs just a bit from turn lock but had a question/trouble determining the type of lift I want. I use this truck as a daily and don't often go off road (unless hunting); however, if I were ever needed to get through some pretty nasty spots- my truck's suspension is durable and capable to meet those challenges. I also want it to perform as a smooth riding truck in case I hit a bump/pothole preventing it from feeling like I'm entering the earth's atmosphere.
    1) How can I determine the size difference between a 4 inch and a 6 inch? I've tried googling the height differences via picture but have a hard time gauging it in person. Would you have a better size comparison via link picture that I can view?
    2) Should I go 4 or 6? I'd like to go big if possible, but am unsure with the difference in the two's height since I can't really determine which would would look best for my truck. Also, if I go 6", would this require cutting?
    3) Which one is better- "ReadyLIFT 4-Inch SST Suspension Lift Kit with Bilstein 5100 Shocks" or the "SuperLift 4-Inch Suspension Lift Kit with Bilstein struts and shocks?"
    4) Out of those 2 whether it be 4" or 6", do either perform better than the other?
    Please advise

At work we use stock Ram 1500's and 2500's to roam around the deserts of southern Nevada. Over all, I put about 5,000 miles a month on my work Ram's with it being around 60% dirt roads ranging from well maintained dirt to "OMG that wild sheep is going to break an ankle if it keeps walking on this road". There is no comparison between my lifted 1500 and the stock base models I drive at work. The BDS kit is amazing. It drives great and feels solid, stabile and smooth both on and off road and it might just be the most bad ass looking truck in my small rural town which is full of bad ass lifted trucks. I have put just over 40k miles on my truck with the lift kit installed and it has taken all of the abuse I put it through without any problems what so ever. I would have no problem at all giving anyone a recommendation for BDS. Yes, you can save a little money going with a cheaper brand but like most things, you usually do get what you pay for.

  • @elijahvertsehovski7020

Well.. probably should start from the fact that I know that there is much better vehicles for off-roading and overland than my Silverado. But it’s all I got 😅
So this is my question. I’m looking into building an overland rig out of my 2016 Silverado 1500. It’s 4wd with Z71 package and I’m looking into 3-4 inch lift that will perform. So no blocks and spacers. Definitely don’t want to trade my arm and leg for it lol also will be looking into wheels tires. But now priority is to lift the truck without breaking the bank.

    What do y’all think for my 2004 4wd f150
4 inch rough country or a 4 inch zone. I was planning on one of these because I’m 16 and can’t save up for the $2300 bds kit since I have to get tires and wheels. I was thinking zone because it’s the little brother to bds
