Detailing My BMW E36 Engine Bay But There Is No Engine In it, Weird

I wasn't planning to make this video, but after actually looking at what had to be done I thought it would be fun to document the process. In the last video on the E36 S52 swap we removed the engine and trans, but there were still plenty of things to remove from the bay. If I wasn't going to be painting the bay this wouldn't have been necessary. But since I am, this is what happened. All remaining engine equipment was either removed or tucked into the firewall. This gave me plenty of room to give the bay a thorough cleaning and see what we are working with. Any remaining gunk will be removed when I got o do body work. Very hyped to be making progress on this project. It's slow, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. Much love guys!

i watch all your videos pretty religiously. i was always curious, are you a videographer by trade? is it a hobby? whats your day job? I know a beautiful garage like this near me (Fairfield county Connecticut) would be astronomically expensive and you got serious cinematography/storytelling skills.
Thanks so much for watching man! I owned a detailing company for a bunch of years but transitioned into doing this instead when I was able to replace the income made with that business . As for the shop, I think you need to look at it from a real estate investor perspective and less of a business expense perspective.

Hmm, very nice work! Seeing the after shots, not sure that it really needs to be painted. Maybe just a good polish and start with replating the various nuts and bolts for reassembly

In moments like these, I suggest using spray nine. That stuff is so strong against oils and grime you will see it melt it off. Safe for paint and plastics. Ive been using it for years. Great stuff thats cheap too!
