- Stunning. That's the only word for how awesome this engine bay transformation came out. Overall I am so happy with the progress on Project Civic EG and getting this bay ready for the d16z6.
Cleaning the bay with the Purple Power and a lot of elbow grease to start really allowed me to see what the engine bay could become, just by getting rid of all the dirt! Then painting and clearing it finished it off. The engine bay looks so much better than it did!

For future reference, SprayMax 2K crystal clear in a rattle can is better than the duplicolor clear. Perfect for smaller sprays like engine bay. You’ll get a nice gloss finish. Thanks for the video.

Great job bro love that your showing the race car some tlc , tuck the harness and clean the hood relocate the battery so u can remove the tray and call it a day , and don't forget to paint the valve cover 👌😎😎😎

Its amazing how much prep goes into paint. I just finished painting my whole EG. The masking, priming, painting and clear coating the whole thing took me ages. I'd hate to tally up the total hours spent, and it wasn't even a professional job :P. The engine bay looks so much better, keep up the good work guys :)

It was never going to be a professional job, but I did like how it turned out in the end. I am just getting the wheels done and then the colour will be where I want it. Will send a few pics when im done :)

Yeah one thing i dislike on the rattle can clear is on white it makes it have a yellow tint to it I've ran into that same problem before. Nice job it cleaned up well

Do it man. Especially if your engine is out or you plan to take it out. I’m so happy my car doesn’t look like a grease pit anymore. In the bay anyway lol. I’ll deal with the interior later
you should move the battery from the original spot and put it under the right front light by the bumper..clean bay.
Is there a way to tuck the fuel lines ? And brakin lines in the firewall ?

After scrubbing you wipe it down or rinse it?
You should run the head light harnesses through the fenders so you have less wire in the bay. Keep up the good work
Could look pretty sweet. I just would need to look into how to keep them undamaged. On track rocks and little pebbles can fly up in the wheel wells. I just need to look into it. I agree could be cool though! Thanks
I was going to mention that also. Wire tuck all the way. The wires actually run through a channel in between fenders and body

Refine , yeah it’s a much bigger level @ work . Auto body shop , takes hours to prep and minutes to shoot in paint booth. Lol

I’m in the process of swapping the original motor for a b20/vtec. This is motivating me to clean the bay. It’s absolutely horrifying, I’m dreading it rn but now I’m just gonna go for it now...
Yeah do it man, it’s so worth it in the end. Enjoy the process and take your time. It won’t last forever so enjoy it

Lol it’s coming man. Been collecting some parts and was messing around with the engine bay again this past weekend. Gonna start putting some new parts on the d16 next week and doing the standard maintenance jobs it needs. Thanks for always watching

Nah. I picked out a white car because I like the color. I'm not a fan of doing an engine bay in a different color than the car personally. So consider that my personal touch lol
