- I picked up a Sur-ron light bee s youth for cheap and put all my spare parts from my X on it. Now it feels like a stock lbx, I put on the stock triple camp forks, swap the controller to stock x 60v and the stock 19” wheels. Such a fun bike now at a fraction of the price of a LBX

Does anyone know if I can use an LBX battery in my Light bee S bike? I know someone who is selling a used battery. Thanks
You will need a lbx controller to use the 60v battery, your lbs controller is only good for 48v
@@danburgez Thanks for clearing that up.
I’m keen on doing this setup, I have a couple questions. The battery plugs back in right? And is the LBX controller hard to install? Also, what is the best sprocket to achieve the best top speed? I’m only 45kg and I’m looking to go pretty fast, how fast could I get with the right sprocket?
Yeah all just plugs in, controller swap is easy. Lower tooth sprocket will give you a better top speed 48T but you'll lose a bit off the bottom end. Should be the same as a stock LBX 70kph
new sub, like the video👋🏼👋🏼, hey got a question can i put 60v 32ah battery and controller and keep same motor to my lbs???
Yes, that is what I have done, i just used the spare controller and battery from an LBX and put them into the LBS, and the motor was fine.
Ok to just put 60v battery and keep the stock 48v controller? Will the 60v just plug straight in?
Doi need to program a new controller to put it in or can I just install it
You can just install it, no programming required
Can you tell me one thing pls is this possible to change light bee s fork to like x fork?
Yes you can do it, that's exactly what I've done in the video
Hello I am 75 pounds and if I was on the upgraded light bee s if I cut the green wire do u think at my weight I can possibly go 50 mph
no 😂
These bikes top out at around 45, with a few aftermarket mods, no problem
Hi i have an lbs and the controller is shot, can i use a lbx controller with the lbs battery and motor?
I don't think it will work, as the lbx controller is 60v and the lbs is 48v. You could just buy a lbx battery at the same time and you'll have a 6kw bike
You can buy a bac4000 it works with the lbs
Wondering if you still have this lbs and if the motor survived 11 months
Thanks
Nah I sold it to buy more toys, it would be fine running stock LBX power tho. I have heard of people running the LBS with a BAC4000 at 7kw that would be the max that motor could handle
Can I put lbx front suspension on the lbs without changing the tire
Yes
I am 200 lbs but don’t want to spend 5 k on a x is this okay to ride also can it get 46 mph like the x by cutting the green wire
The youth has a different rear shock which i doesn't end up replacing but if you replaced that you would be okay, im 176. And the top speed i was able to get with this set up was 43 mph just remember the youth model has a smaller kw motor
Can I put headlights/taillights and which?
No, you would need to upgrade the harness for lights
how is the size, for refernce im 5'6 and was wondering if the Surron S is too small cause it says youth?
With 19s its pretty much the same height as a lbx, the only thing I didn't change which needed to be change eventually is the rear shock, the youth has a smaller DNM instead of the bigger KKE found on the LBX
i got kke from factory on my lbs
how much did it cost to convert the light bee s to what u have it?
I had most of the parts left over from my LBX build so not to much, but depending where you live you can pick up most parts reasonably cheap on marketplace
Can you tell me where can i get the fork like you
The fork is a KKE from the LBX model
Does the lbs use the same motor as the lbx?
No, the lbs has a small motor. Only good for about 7kw max with a bac4000
Question. Do I need to change the rear suspension and forks to have the same stock lbx suspension? Or is changing the front forks the only logical thing to do
Definitely change the front forks as the lbx are better fork with a triple clamp, for the rear it depends on what you plan on using it for. If you can find the lbx rear shock cheap enough then change it. I think from memory the youth has a 350lbs spring and the lbx 450lbs spring
@@danburgezwhat brand is best for forks
@@danburgezim trying too search it up the fork u talking about
@therealty1111 mine were KKE. If you want a better fork, get the Fastace with a 60lbs spring
@@danburgez because i got got a couple questions this is my first time owning and getting one.
Can I put a bac 4000 and a 72v 51ah chi battery in it
You can, but remember it is only a 3kw motor, so it will heat up quickly. It's best to just upgrade the motor too.
@@danburgezif I do 72v bac4000 what’s motor should I get
@@JustToFast I haven't tested any aftermarket motors yet, the EBMX motor has great specs but comings with a hefty price tag. The sotion motor seems to be getting good reviews too
Did u have to change any wires
Nah, its all the same wiring
Hi is the frame the same as a lbx
Not 100% sure I think so and all the lbx stuff bolts up the same
Will the 48v controller work with the 60v battery?
I didn't try but I would guess not, plus no real advantage of doing it. Can easily pick up a cheap 60v lbx controller off market place and will plug straight in
i got a light bee s with just 60v 38ah battery and top speed is 44mph, ( stock control light bee s )
@@323Ghostpyroso would you say the battery upgrade is sufficient to increase the power? how fast is the lbs with the 48v battery?
What size forks did you get?
Just the stock LBX forks
What was the top speed you got with this setup ?
With the lbx controller and battery it runs exactly like a lbx, depending on sprocket/tyres/weight and where you riding. I think I had the 58T sprocket and got to 47 mph - 75kph
Was that flat?
Hey
Did u have to change any wires
No all the same wiring
