SURRON LIGHT BEE X TOP SPEED TEST 2024!! // Standard & Upgraded Power - Torp TC500

- In this video I run some tests to see the top speed of the surron light bee x own a stock powered 60v surron. We also run the tests on my upgraded surron that uses the torp TC500 controller which doubles the power of the bike and raises the top speed slightly. There is the option of field weakening on the Torp TC500 which does increase the top speed so we test this in the video at different stages.

Amazing vid! Do you know how much torque you get whit the TC500 + stock battery?
I dont actually know the specific answer to that question if I’m honest! I know it is a MASSIVE torque increase compared to the stock controller on a surron. Let me do some research and i will try give you an accurate answer. Feel free to message me on instagram @mattfrancisofficial

You’re absolutely right, i was confused as to why the 100a didn’t increase the top speed. Definitely something not correct with that but i will be testing more in the future for sure!! 💯🔋⚡️

Yeah it’s definitely incredible how much we can change on the Torp app!! So many options for different settings and the throttle tunes are also incredible. So many reasons to love the Torp controllers. I am indeed constantly on the app changing and tweaking things for different riding conditions and power levels😁💯🔋⚡️

If it only goes 30mph in sport mode then yes it will be restricted. If it does 45-50mph in sport then it is not restricted!💯🔋⚡️

If you get the torp yes, other controllers will require a bigger battery to assure more power. Torp is king🔋⚡️

The acceleration definitely makes a difference, my bike felt like a rocket compared to the stock surron!! I agree with @surfrankenron though, i’m always looking for more power and speed😁💯🔋⚡️

Thank you! I will do these tests again with a GPS when possible but i know my speedo is accurate within 1MPH as i used GPS to calibrate it and make sure it was reading correctly!! The stock display was off by 3MPH when i tested it in a previous video. The torp display is a lot more accurate as you have to input sprocket and wheel size to determine the correct speed! 💯🔋⚡️

140 dc amps is a standard bypassed 60v basically its nothing even Ebmx only output like 240amps peak with a whole load of voltage sag 😴
Fair enough but my battery isn’t bypassed. It is simply just a stock surron battery, 60V 38ah. With a bypassed battery it will be more like 12kw!! With a 72V battery and upgraded motor i would be able to set it to 25kw i believe which is insane power!
🙌🙌, I’ve rode a 30kw set up it’s naughty, but need the space for it and the battery 😴, even ko motor can’t handle that for long, same with most batteries the Ebmx 9000 u need up to like 400 battery amps molicel cells are best but I’ve not seen a battery that can use all of that controllers potential

I have to say i dont understand the surron community y spend all this money to go just a little bit faster.u like speed u like electric just save ur eggs and buy a zero or a used zero way faster and made to go that fast no worrying about over heating just does make sense to me other theb it being a hobby i guess
It’s not just speed i’m looking for. Speed is fun and everyone likes having the fastest bike but for me its the whole look of the bike, the energy and hype around the bike and the ability to upgrade it with such a wide range of products!
Everyone has their own taste and no matter what bike it is, there will always be someone willing to spend silly money on making theirs the best it can be. My build is expensive but no where near as expensive as a lot of these builds i see!

I am doing things my own way. Doesn’t matter who i use for inspiration. I have the same helmet because I like it and its a very cheap and common helmet and the same gopro set up because it works and its the best set up in my opinion. I film my videos in my own way and surronster himself supports me and has told me to keep doing what i’m doing. In his words he doesn’t “own the look” and i’m happy creating content like this👍🏻☺️

A number of different reasons, for example. Surrons are expensive, my build is getting near £10,000 and i dont want people recognising me and coming for my bike. Showing my face is just taking meaning away from my videos, its not about me as a person its about surrons, parts and other electric vehichles, showing my face is just a distraction from that and i dont have to worry about how i look or people commenting on how i look. Surrons and most electric bikes are more illegal here in the UK than in the US so it’s a no face no case situation and i dont want to wear a balaclava or a mask, a helmet is more relatable to my content. And before you say it, Matt Francis is not my actual name, i created that name when i started my channel around 3/4 years ago when filming other content that wasn’t surron related.
I have my reasons and am focused on what i’m doing and bettering my life through something i enjoy. If you don’t like what i’m doing simply dont subscribe, dont watch my videos and dont support it. I have a lot of people who do support me and what i’m doing regardless of how i’m doing it. Peace and love 🔋⚡️
