    A CO detector would be a good addition to help gaurd against permanent nap.

    Another really good video. Looks like a good bit of kit. This channel is getting better and better well done .

    Hi there. I think you bought a decent bit of kit. Looks to be Well Made and Robust. (we shall see... china and all that 🙊)
    I don't have a caravan or the like but I guess it could be adapted for use in a Garage, Large Shed or even a
    Green House maybe. See you in the next one. 👍👍

    To manually prime it, hold the up and down button simultaneously, and it will prime for as long as the buttons are held, whilst it is in off mode! Hold the gear icon to set it to temp mode. Hold the OK and Gear icon to get to alpine mode (less fuel used)

      I fitted that black and white floor when I got the caravan as it had no carpet in it when I bought it. Glad you like it.

    Those heaters are very good and will heat the caravan up very nicely ive fitted 5 of them so far to people's self build camper vans and ha no problems with them at all
    It was a good idea of yours to use that other drum for fuel tank as the one that comes with kit has a connection that fits in but is very tricky to do the end should be in the bag of bits

    • @NorfolkMancave
      @NorfolkMancave  Před 2 lety

      Yeah it seems like a good bit of kit for the price. It seems to heat that little van in no time.

    • @bushratbeachbum
      @bushratbeachbum Před 2 lety

      I thought i saw the connection already in the tank that came with the heater.
      They can be a bit of a fiddle to get it though, wire through the hole then slide the barb down inside and through, washer both sides, hurrah, cheap heating!
      Trying mine on old veg oil this year, see how that goes

    At least you will be toasty whatever the weather.

    I invite you and Mrs. Mancave to come to the Cambridge Rock Festival, which is being held in 16/17/28/19th June. It is at the Show ground, Peterborough. If you attend, I promise to buy you and the Mrs. pints of real ale or real cyder! Think it over. Very friendly festival.

    Its always better to blow than suck. A little pressure on your fuel fill will save you a mouthful.

    They have to be left top run down otherwise the electronics inside will get fried from the residual heat in the combustion chamber stroke heat exchanger.

      Yeah i remember hearing that myself on a youtube vid. I did let it run down when i turned it off.

    Should never put any type of heater by a fridge, freezer,etc there thermostats fight against each other. Pain in the backside if you do.

    I thought the metal plate went under the floor so you didn’t have big holes under caravan, I would have cut two holes for exhaust and air then smaller ones for fuel and studs then put the metal under the floor and the rubber gasket sits in the floor

    • @TicketyBoo.
      @TicketyBoo. Před 2 lety

      No Lewis. Plate goes as fitted here to create a seal with the floor. The slot in the plate is where the pump wiring should have gone avoiding the need to drill a separate hole.

    Great stuff. This is quite timely as I'm wondering whether to risk a cheap Chinese diesel heater for my camper van rather than remortgage for a Webasto or Eberspacher. Any problems so far? Thanks for uploading. 👍

      I have used one of these to heat my house last 2 years, no issues other then self inflicted. When the fan motor bearing went I procrastinated in getting it replaced so I destroyed the motor, 50 dollar mistake, then I ordered high quality Japanese bearings, and put it int he new motor then installed and 0 issues with it now. Second one with same controller as him, has had no issues out of the box all of last winter and now (I now run the other one down stairs)

    nice one bud ye typical chinese instructions vague af lol if the 12v plug supply is live on the side of ur seat use that for ur heater supply and the hole left u could use as an main switch for it if that makes sense
