It is possible to care for someone who has a checkered past while also not condoning what they have done/said. There are situations where a person does something despicable but we still care for them, our feelings don’t just turn off. There are situations where some people totally disregard what someone has done and don’t feel they were in the wrong or to be completely cancelled. There are situations where someone you care for has been accused of awful things but there’s no proof yet at that time and shouldn’t be raked over the coals wanting actual proof before they end a relationship and that’s where most of society is right now. I have a geninue question cause I tried researching it and I keep getting inconsistent research results, but why does everyone hate David Dobrick? Like what happened? Please excuse the fact it’s so lengthy but David is dangerous. He’s done so much, there’s way more but I’ll give you the 2 examples that led to his downfall. I’m so sorry, they’re so long but this is the reason why. He’s an ‘adult’ who had his friends doing dangerous shit that he would never do himself for exposure on his vlogs, shit so dangerous one of his friends almost died. In 2022, the friends chose to participate when David hired an excavator and was operating it over a lake. He was swinging people around in the water using wakeboards which he eventually suggested they ditch. Having them just hold onto the rope whilst he swung them above water. He was gentle with everyone else, but when it came to said friend Jeff, he knew David would be rougher with him and asked him not to go overboard, David promised and didn’t stick to it, and the friend was spun at such unsafe speeds that when David slowed it down, he slammed into the side of the excavator breaking his foot and hip, tearing a ligament in his leg, shattering his skull in nine places, and almost losing an eye, David and Jeff later had an agreement that he would pay for one of his medical bills which David did not follow through on. He also had already been cancelled in 2021. David invited fans to ‘Dom’s sex intervention’ - it was a “funny”running joke in the vlogs that Dom was a sex pest. David knew the girls were at least 18 but under the legal drinking age-making them minors. To state again; he knew they were underage and had one of the oldest members of the crew, who is actually a father, buy them alcohol and got them drunk. David then told them they’d be in his vlog if they kissed his friend Dom- mind you, this friend, he was aware, had sexual assault allegations against him in 2018 and later, one of those girls who remained anonymous from said video came forward to reveal in 2021, that she was literally r worded by Dom that night in 2017. She was terrified to come forward. That ‘adult’ threw both those friends under the bus to save his ass, the problem with the Dom situation was about the fact he lacked so much remorse for those girls and what happened. When he eventually received backlash, he took to posting an apology on one of his accounts with the smallest amount of numbers, the video was 2 minutes and 31 seconds and barely had any apology toward the girls, he lost 100,000 followers, ended up parting ways with an app he was working on, lost loads of big sponsor. He was 21 when he filmed that vlog in 2017, 25 when he was called out for it and barely took accountability, going as far as to try and cover the assault happening. He was 26 when he almost killed his friend. He also mocked one former friend who had dwarfism for content so much that friend felt like a punching bag, he had a token black bestfriend, Seth, who was the brunt of racist jokes. He also pranked this 23 year old guy by staging an elaborate ‘prank’ convincing him he’d booked a commercial, he was so excited he told his entire family. The day comes, and he is told he’ll be kissing Corinna Kopf whilst she’s wearing a monkey suit.- a girl who was apart of the group long after the controversies. He does the commercial, goes in for the kiss and afterwards finds that they all come out laughing and he realises he didn’t kiss Corinna, he kissed Jason Nash. Who was 45 at the time. I was such a huge fan of his and even tried to overlook some of the stuff even if I was uncomfortable, but there’s a reason why some of his older friends slowly began to distance. This man had everyone acting as his stage monkeys whilst he filmed it all.

The only incident I know of is the property damage he did with that foam explosion prank~ manly his neighbors claiming they were nuisances. I didn’t know about all that. As someone who never watched his videos, when I tried researching I couldn’t tell what was real and what wasn’t. For example, the Jeff thing came up talking about David almost killed him where part of Jeff’s skull was even exposed and Jeff himself spoke out about it, but then other sources were already claiming David was a murderer and killed someone before. Some stuff I could tell was just made up, but other things like David killing someone after the Jeff incident seemed like it could be believable. I knew some reports were trolling just because he was a famous name and a bit annoying, same way people say Jeffree Star eats babies, but other things like the killings and rape I wasn’t sure how believable it was even with how often and consistently it was reported. Then again, we’ve had CZcamsrs who’ve done the same or worse unfortunately so it’s not exactly out of the realm of possibility. Which is why everything was confusing. This time he couldn’t just keep him around, he tried to hide the assault and when it didn’t work, he dropped him and tried to shift blame entirely on him.
He then a year later hired an excavator operating it himself over a lake and after operating it safely for a while, suggested they ditch safety measures and he just swings people around whilst they hold the rope. His one friend asked him to be gentle, David promised and then cranked it to unsafe speeds; he eventually slowed it and his friend smacked into the side, he broke his foot, hip, tore a ligament in his leg, shattered his skull in 9 places and almost lost his eye. David and the friend agreed he would pay one of the bills off and David broke that agreement.

Please excuse the fact it’s so lengthy but David is dangerous. He’s done so much, there’s way more but I’ll give you the 2 examples that led to his downfall. I’m so sorry, they’re so long but this is the reason why.
He’s an ‘adult’ who had his friends doing dangerous shit that he would never do himself for exposure on his vlogs, shit so dangerous one of his friends almost died. In 2022, the friends chose to participate when David hired an excavator and was operating it over a lake. He was swinging people around in the water using wakeboards which he eventually suggested they ditch. Having them just hold onto the rope whilst he swung them above water. He was gentle with everyone else, but when it came to said friend Jeff, he knew David would be rougher with him and asked him not to go overboard, David promised and didn’t stick to it, and the friend was spun at such unsafe speeds that when David slowed it down, he slammed into the side of the excavator breaking his foot and hip, tearing a ligament in his leg, shattering his skull in nine places, and almost losing an eye, David and Jeff later had an agreement that he would pay for one of his medical bills which David did not follow through on.
He also had already been cancelled in 2021. David invited fans to ‘Dom’s sex intervention’ - it was a “funny”running joke in the vlogs that Dom was a sex pest. David knew the girls were at least 18 but under the legal drinking age-making them minors. To state again; he knew they were underage and had one of the oldest members of the crew, who is actually a father, buy them alcohol and got them drunk. David then told them they’d be in his vlog if they kissed his friend Dom- mind you, this friend, he was aware, had sexual assault allegations against him in 2018 and later, one of those girls who remained anonymous from said video came forward to reveal in 2021, that she was literally r worded by Dom that night in 2017. She was terrified to come forward. That ‘adult’ threw both those friends under the bus to save his ass, the problem with the Dom situation was about the fact he lacked so much remorse for those girls and what happened.
When he eventually received backlash, he took to posting an apology on one of his accounts with the smallest amount of numbers, the video was 2 minutes and 31 seconds and barely had any apology toward the girls, he lost 100,000 followers, ended up parting ways with an app he was working on, lost loads of big sponsor. He was 21 when he filmed that vlog in 2017, 25 when he was called out for it and barely took accountability, going as far as to try and cover the assault happening. He was 26 when he almost killed his friend.
He also mocked one former friend who had dwarfism for content so much that friend felt like a punching bag, he had a token black bestfriend, Seth, who was the brunt of racist jokes. He also pranked this 23 year old guy by staging an elaborate ‘prank’ convincing him he’d booked a commercial, he was so excited he told his entire family. The day comes, and he is told he’ll be kissing Corinna Kopf whilst she’s wearing a monkey suit.- a girl who was apart of the group long after the controversies. He does the commercial, goes in for the kiss and afterwards finds that they all come out laughing and he realises he didn’t kiss Corinna, he kissed Jason Nash. Who was 45 at the time.
I was such a huge fan of his and even tried to overlook some of the stuff even if I was uncomfortable, but there’s a reason why some of his older friends slowly began to distance. This man had everyone acting as his stage monkeys whilst he filmed it all.

I didn’t know about all that. As someone who never watched his videos, when I tried researching I couldn’t tell what was real and what wasn’t. For example, the Jeff thing came up talking about David almost killed him where part of Jeff’s skull was even exposed and Jeff himself spoke out about it, but then other sources were already claiming David was a murderer and killed someone before. Some stuff I could tell was just made up, but other things like David killing someone after the Jeff incident seemed like it could be believable.
I knew some reports were trolling just because he was a famous name and a bit annoying, same way people say Jeffree Star eats babies, but other things like the killings and rape I wasn’t sure how believable it was even with how often and consistently it was reported. Then again, we’ve had CZcamsrs who’ve done the same or worse unfortunately so it’s not exactly out of the realm of possibility. Which is why everything was confusing.

There’s actually other things too like using a dwarf for the butt of his jokes back in the early days, he even staged a prank on one of his friends. He pulled all these strings and his friend, Seth, believed he landed a commercial.
