I usually collect and use my Finnish made puukkos exclusively (approximately 100-150 knives) but videos like this have spurred my interest in American made Bark River knives. So far I have the wilderness explorer in cruwear, a blackwater EDC and two blackwater II knives in Elmax and I have been truly impressed. I just ordered the ultralite bushcrafter in CPM3v and it should be here this week. Thank you and Chris for sparking my enthusiasm in these incredible tools. Cheers, Steve
I keep thinking I'll find something I'll like more than my BR Bushcrafter 3V, and I stray for a while and play around with something else, but I keep coming back to this knife. It's the gold standard of bushcraft knives, as far as I'm concerned - from the incredibly comfortable grip to the grind/profile to the excellent steel, it just nails it. I should really just stop buying knives, sell off the rest of what I have and I could be perfectly happy with this choice. Although I'd have to hang on to his little brother - the BR Ultra Lite Bushcrafter as well, another fantastic all-arounder when I don't need the full size.
As for the price, besides the premium steel, convex grinds are inherently more expensive because they have to be ground by hand, whereas a hollow grind is put into a machine. That takes an artist. An American artist at that. It is worth it.
Will, we want to see more Sospes vids. To prepare for the Sabre grind coming out. More Sospes ASAP! I am on the verge of buying the Sospes, push me over the edge.
Will, please o please, please do a review the Bark River Kephart 5 in cpm3v ! I definitely want your opinion and experience and expertise on this knife. The other reviewers all go into the specks and that's fine and good information to be sure however, none are taking the time to use the knife as Horace Kephart designed it for. Traps ,camp , and food mealtime preparation. Plus generalized knife usage. I have bought one and I find it to be ybe hands down best purchase I've ever made in a knife. This thing is crazy sharp and super comfortable in my hands. But I want your help with seeing the further uses and the limitations on this knife . I've a big beater. A hatchet, axe and a Corona saw. But still I'd love to here your ideas and personal opinions.
I'm cheap...like...maybe the cheapest person alive...Chris calls me Captain Gearbest ffs...but I do like quality...and BRK is quality. I may not ever own one, because I'm cheap...but if someone ever says "my condor knife can do everything this can do"...I'll make them qualify their answer...it can...but..as you seen in this video...you won't make it do it as well ( and with as much easy) as with this knife, you won't make it do it as long as with this knife, and the knife won't look as good (and neither will you) doing it...
Good video, I have the bushcrafter II in 3V. Love it. I opted for the larger version for greater versatility. How about a bushcrafter II vs. a JX2 Jessmuk comparison video?
Got only one chance on a knife of this quality. How would this work in the hunting world. I know you and CT has been asked this many times thanks for opinion
Lol do you listen to yourself? Now I'm doing constructive criticism here. But you ask yourself questions, then get mad at the question. Chris does that too:)

I'd love to see you guys test the Bark River Bushcrafter against the Bark River Gunny Hunter!
Great review, he knows his stuff.
I have the bushcrafter 2,it is unbelievable. Love it, it's my best knife in my collection.
It does make me want to handle a Bark River knife. Their handles often look a bit slippery. Pretty, but potentially slick.
Beautiful demonstration so satisfying to watch. Want one.

Just ordered one in cpm154 with red and gold elder burl handles and mosaic pins...Great review!
The Bushcrafter is one of the most comfortable knives I’ve held in hand.
