I personally like the looks of this knife better than the Aroura. And the sheath is beautiful. Great review Matthew!

I just ordered one with Curly maple/red, blue, and green acrylic hybrid handle. It should be here tomorrow. Im looking forward to using it.

Nice! I think you will like it a lot! I know BRK does a very good job with handles. As far as bushcraft goes like I said this is a very ideal size for making crafts. Just don't be surprised if its too small for lots of batoning.

Although I love my Bark River knives I have moved on to LT Wright mainly for the sharp spine and bushcraft type choices

I dont have a problem with the grip on barkriver handles.
I find that the polish does not affect my grip in any way.
Maybe it is a problem when you use the knives with gloves? But, not bare handed.
I don't use the kives with gloves. But then again, im not in a clod climate like Alaska. Im in the Texas, so i don't have alot of use for gloves. Maybe thats what I'm missing here.😅

To each their own, I think you maybe on to the point though, as I do use gloves a lot of the time when bushcrafting

Well, I fully accept that mine could have been a lemon, but as a reviewer I must report my experiences.

Life In The Taiga do you think it was the different steel? Maybe A2 is weakened by the cold?

Did the tip of your Aurora bend?

      Nope, snapped right off.

Wow, that's unfortunate. BRKT has great customer service and warranty, send it in they'll fix it or replace it.

I've also been considering the Bushcrafter but can't decide if I want the Bushcrafter 1 or 2.
